Score from 210 reviews Good
Have stayed here often, visiting family; very convenient. Good service, good breakfast, new rooms well appointed and commodious bathrooms.
Mattress in new extension (room 53) very hard, uncomfortable. Management should research mattresses in Premier Inns.
The staff at all times were very helpful and very polite. They were excellent at breakfast.
Staff were courteous, the breakfast was good and the rooms were lovely. Each room has its own iron and ironing board which was useful for me.
The shower in my room did not work properly. I only stayed for one night though, so they did not have a chance to fix it. The view out of the window was a bit lacking.
Cold plates for breakfast bacon ect cold
Staff friendly and helpful particularly at breakfast.
Torn net curtain in bedroom
Hot room. Breakfast started at 7am-for London business it would be better to start at 6am so it's not rushed.
The staff were friendly polite and helpful. The room had plenty of space and was very clean
A small thing the bed was a bit too hard for us.
Staff very good breakfast best we have had for ages
Bar service very poor.needed more staff to serve as we were 25 people.the guy was very slow.
Room not very clean, very dirty curtains, stair carpet unclean, very noisy boiler or generator kept us all awake
Excellent location for me. Clean, well appointed room for the money. Excellent breakfast including the service. Pleasant bar area. Generally a very positive experience.
I was there for a funeral: is that business or leisure? The reception staff were polite and efficient, (at a late check in and morning check out) but would it hurt them to smile? Outside the hotel there was a broken glass that no one had noticed and the ashtrays were full of buts under rain water - very unsightly. Rooms a little over-heated.
I liked the quaintness and having a light cord in the bathroom. The staff were friendly. I also like the fact they try and be eco friendly.
They have no evening meals. The single bed wobbled and it felt like there was plastic in the duvet and sheets, and it was tiny. You could only pull the phone as far as the pillow to make a call, and either both numbers were engaged or the phone didn't work. There were hairs at the foot of my sheets. The bath towel was placed on a material chair, so there was the possibility of germs.
Very large family rooms; Breakfast was very good and filling
WiFi cost are way too much
She said it was fantastic for the money and said it was a really lovely hotel in a lovely area.
Breakfast, size of room
Lack of clothes space, no dining in the evenings, noisy (room 9)
Friendly, approachable, helpful staff. Good breakfast, quaint old part to the hotel. Easy to park. Big comfy single bed. Lots of hot water.
My bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and the bedroom, although more than adequate for a single, was a bit drab and 'tired'. I think, overall, the hotel needs a big of a makeover.
Comfort and breakfasts.
Lack of easy wifi, safe in room and breakfast too early (7:00 until 9:00).
Good breakfast. Close to shops & tube station. Clean comfortable basic hotel.
No evening meals available
Friendly staff, parking ok
No restaurant and no bar food. Outside areas unkempt, bins overflowing. To much hardscape, most available green areas unusable.
great room excellent breakfast lifts discounted price free wifi & parking good pub across the road
The hotel is in a pleasant situation, and the building is very interesting. Our room was comfortable and quite well appointed. Breakfasts were fine, with plenty of choice. The staff were excellent - very friendly and courteous.
Nothing of importance.
The rooms are clean and comfortable Breakfast is a superb Buffett
No staff to run the bar, you had to wait along time to get served
Good breakfast. Room available early.
Very noisy at night, people walking the creaky corridors and knocking on doors. Rowdy car park and noisy road.
Not much, however it was a bed for the night.
Staff had poor English. Room tired, Breakfast was poor, not much of anything, cold beans rubbery egg. I picked a croixant fropm th pile but it was rock solid when I bit into it. Disgusting. I pointed it out to a member of staff saying that I was not happy, but not even an apology. Mainly because she did not know what to say in English..
Easy to find, very pleasant staff and location. Good size room, very good food. Plenty of parking spaces.
Could do with another fan in the room.
No air conditioning The website advertised a bar menu which on arrival there were no meals other than breakfast being served. I had to find an alternative location to eat. The bathroom was dated and was not of the expected standard for the money paid. Overall I would not stay at this or any other Tudor Lodge group hotel as the experience was very poor. I did try and contact the central reservation telephone number to confirm the availability of meals but guess what, no answer. Extremely disappointed and I stay in a lot of hotels.
