Comfy bed. Easy access and parking Good breakefas
Staff a bit reluctant to smile!
Good for local amenities ,very good choice of breakfast
Grouting on tiles round bath dirty
Breakfast was very nice
Full breakfast provided each day. It is not a luxurious hotel but has charm because it was built in 1525. Stayed before when all the roses were in bloom. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave.
No newspapers eventuated in the 6 days we were there. Compendium needs to be updated. Minor things!
not comfortable seating in hotel bar
Great and friendly staff. The night porter was about and awake to let me in when I arrived at 1:40 am after a delayed flight
The room was great, good size and comfortable. Breakfast choice, service and standard excellent. All staff really pleasant. Knowing the cost of property in the Pinner area it was excellent value for money don't know how they do it.
My only adverse comment. Being in the greater London area it is a challenge to maintain a good level of cleanliness but nets could do with a wash.
A good point about this hotel, is the reasonable breakfast in a reasonably pleasant dinning room.
We were allocated room no 2 in the main part of the hotel which was situated at the front next to the road which was very noisy. Although the room was a reasonable size the decor was dated and the bed very uncomfortable. The door to the room was just about hanging on as there were gaps where the stair light shone through. The bathroom was very small and the shower head was full of limescale and the shower tray was dirty and in need of a good clean. Disappointing
Location and an excellent breakfast.
WI FI should be free as mobile phone signal in this location is non existent.
the breakfast staff is very pleasant. room is big and clean.
reception lady, at check-in, no smile, no welcome, after checkout, no thank you and no goodbye....
Great breakfast! Very reasonable cost and comfortable room.
On behalf of my freinds not a lot I was embarrassed to recommend this hotel to them based on comments on Booking .com don't stay here or go by previous comments as sure these are not up to date
Dirty rooms, no staff (only one person in the hotel for guests) there is no resteraunt or any other type of food available at any time during the day or evening, (except for the breakfast,) Poor customer service ( the poor young lady on her own tried her best) Some of my friends had to strip a bed because it had not been changed and help make it up ! Curtain and nets were dirty and torn. Filled ashtrays in the gardens !
Fantastic staff and a lovely breakfast. The staff could not be more helpful.
The TV has the Freeview channels which is good. But this is my second stay in a short timescale and it appears that the antenna for all the rooms in the Annex is not aligned. It requires adjustment as the picture on the TV breaks up all the time.
Breakfast was included and of a reasonable quality
Our original was very dirty we was given a option to upgrade to the honeymoon suite(chargable)and when we opened the door the room wasn't serviced from the previous guest !!! Only one member of staff in the whole hotel so we had to wait to 6pm to get the room services
Fantastic staff and a lovely breakfast. The staff could not be more helpful
Wifi was available free in the bar. In the rooms there was a charge. Nowadays it should be complimentary everywhere.
Bedroom reasonable size The rate Nice bathroom
Tv reception was awful Mobile reception was awful Shower ran intermittently hot and cold At breakfast the tea was in a teapot no choice whatsoever no green tea, no fruit tea even no choice of black tea
The room was warm, unusual I find in hotel rooms these days. I liked the general appearance of the hotel.
Mobile reception in my room was appalling, and the dongle on my laptop mostly didn't enable me to access the internet. I was wary of paying for WiFi connexion since that suggested it might not work even if I did. In the end I was allowed to use the laptop in the bar, a noisy and unsuitable environment. The radiator in the bathroom was excessively hot and I couldn't turn it down - though no doubt it helped to keep the room warm, so I thought it imprudent to complain.
excellent value for money.
Didn't like fact had to pay for wifi. Everywhere I have stayed in the past has free wifi. If cost is an issue hotel should factor it Into the room tariffs.
Poor quality of breakfast food, no Allergen awareness chart, cost of Wi-Fi blocking of mobile telephone reception in rooms so cannot use own wi-fi. Beds too hard, light out in bathroom, Room telephone not working
Loved the decor, friendly staff, and cleanliness.
Paid wifi. Free wifi would be perfect in the rooms.
Wasnt in old part of lodge. Felt like a premier inn
Loved the old house feeling, bed was comfortable linen clean and fresh, room was a good size. Breakfast was very good, buffet was topped up frequently
The bathroom was a total disgrace, mould on the ceiling, toilet seat was loose. The taps on washbasin needed a good clean, and as for the shower, the whole thing needed to be ripped out and renewed, black mould on the tiles the door was loose and a build up of brown slime on base. If the bathroom was updated this would be an excellent hotel.
Location near tube station, shops and restaurants
Shower didn't work very well
Rudest receptionist I have ever met. Poor security, no info in room and uncomfortable bed.
I liked the building because of its age and character. Breakfast was good quality although it was completely self service.
The room was small and had basic facilities. The bathroom door was an old sliding door which was noisy when used and didn't fit properly. Toilet was noisy when used as it had a maserator system. The sink plug didn't work. It was difficult to sleep because of the road noise and only one side window would open for fresh air.Try not to book Room Number 2.There were no restaurant facilities at all for evening meal although it was advertised as having a restaurant on the website and in the room booklet. Reception told me to go down the road for a meal.
