Small friendly functional hotel, good for commuting to London, without having to stay in London itself. Underground 10 minute walk, then 20 minutes from Central London. Breakfast the equivilant of higher quality hotels, and better than some - serving staff attentive and nothing to much trouble. Not a hotel for a long-term stay.

The quality of service was ok, room was quite spacious and the staff was very hospitable. I didn't like the fact the Internet access wasn't free (quite expensive actually) That is the only reason I won't be returning again. But if you don't care about that, I recommend this place as good value for money.

The two resident cats. Everything! Staff were rude, clueless and unfriendly, food was terrible and overpriced, had a very poor nights sleep due to being able to hear the people in the room above, the people in the room next to me and people dragging their luggage passed my closed window!!

This hotel was unbelievable value for money and I can't wait to stay again. The room was lovely, the staff were friendly and food was good. The hotel had character and and ample parking spaces. I would choose this over any chain like the Premier Inn. Our room was quite hot, even with the windows open for a few hours and radiators off so we could have done with a fan, it was about 13 degrees outside. Also the sausages we had for breakfast were a bit hard so we didn't eat them. However that would not stop us from staying there again in the future.

The staff were friendly and helpful. It had good links for transport to London and the breakfast was great. The car parking was excellent for the area. TV Channels were poor but not a big problem. The noise from the bar was too much, People were drunk, shouting and being generally rowdy until gone 2am. The night porter couldn't do anything about it. The bar should be closed at midnight.

The building is wonderful, being 500 years old. The modern additons have been done thoughtfully. I found the staff very pleasant and helpful. The inclusive breakfast was varied and plentiful. I would definately stay here again. Very good value for money. I found it quite a struggle carrying my luggage up the narrow staircase. It would have been helpful if there was someone to help me. I shall use a smaller case when I stay next time!

I liked the character of the listed building. The decor within the public areas was pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, within easy reach of the train link into London. I thought the single room was poor value and the plumbing set up proved very noisy. The breakfast could have been fresher and the coffee was stewed.

Double bed and breakfast for two for £75.00 The room was tiny whilst the bed wasn't that comfortable. You can get alot more for your money at a Holiday Inn so if you can - go there.

I have stayed here many times now. Rooms vary, but the welcome is always good. This time I was in the newer, more modern part; it was quiet and spotless. There's nothing I don't like. It's a nice little hotel outside of London - it can be very busy even getting to somewhere like Wembley. But for a budget hotel, it's great.

The hotel is situated between two busy roads and as a result there was alot of traffic noise, we tried to shut the windows but because they are so old they woudnt shut properly. Also our room was on the first floor above reception and we could actually hear the phone conversation the receptionist was having in the early hours!! For me its more of a b&b and with that in mind I think is over priced.

Despite being a very old timber framed building, the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Cost of internet access - I used my phone instead.

My particular room was very special, as it was full of old Tudor beams and had real character. The Receptionist was extremely nice and helpful (she also served at the bar). The breakfast was excellent; all food perfectly cooked, and most importantly, a great cup of tea! Only a small thing - they bar did not serve cocktails. However, the bar staff helped me make up a Cosmopolitan, as I kind of knew the recipe!
