The food The hotel had been let to young people with no respect for the other guests. It felt like we had booked a DSS hostel. The noise from the upstairs flat was vewry intrusive. |

Beautiful location and ambience. We arrived after a 12 hour train trip after the kitchen was closed. One of the staff having a pint after work was willing to go whip us up something. Turned into one of the best meals of our entire trip. Memorable customer service. |

Great building full of charachter, very Scottish. Lovely open fire. Very relaxing. Food good. More readily available bar/lounge facilities - coffees/drinks were provided out of hours (during the day) but only after askIng for them. Remove carpet in bathroom. |

The receptionist Sarah was exceptionaly welcoming and showed us round the facilities. The evening staff in the bar were just as friendly and the unique atmoshere of the castle made it a very pleasant change from the normal corporate experience of some chain hotels. My friend and I both felt that the bar and restaurant menus would be better reversed. We ate in bar although would have prefered restaurantbut bar menu offered better selection of food in our opinion. |

We made a reservation for one room but we had an extra person so we showed up needing two rooms. They were very helpful in working something out for us. Also we had an excellent meal in the bar. The room was large and clean. The castle had a great atmosphere and we learned about their ghosts. Some great stories. |

the fact that this is so different to what is now the norm in hotels and motels is what makes this place stand out. |

Great atmosphere and well worth the price to stay in a real castle. Very comfortable rooms and a nice setting in Dingwall. Loch Ness within easy driving distannce. I agree that the food prices are very expeneive in the bar. Essentially the same menue as the "dining room" part of the hotel. Offering a lower priced menu in the bar would greatly improve the attractiveness and get more people into the "Green Lady Bar." |

It's an interesting building to stay in (as you'd expect for a castle - note to anyone not familiar with Scottish castle hotels it's not the fairytale turret type but a functional building but still has the great staircases, large fireplaces and large rooms). It's located hard up against a housing area so don't expect to be able to go out of hotel and find a range of countryside walks; you will need to drive for such but that's a minor consideration. |

I'm afraid the breakfast left a lot to be desired. A full Scottish breakfast should include at least either black pudding or haggis, half a cooked (small ) tomato and a tiny overcooked potato scone doesn't do it for me. |

The food was good, but a bit expensive for what i would term "bar meals" The size of the bedroom it was sufficient for one night but i wouldn't have been prepared to spend any more time in it. |
