Nice hotel in a peaceful location great breakfast and very comfy beds my first choice when working in the area
There was nothing i did not like about my stay here
Very friendly and helpful hosts and staff Our A La Carte evening meal was very good
Disturbed sleep due to planes going overhead to Exeter airport Location a little difficult to find
Quiet and convenient for a stopover on our way to cornwall. Very clean. Lovely breakfast and very obliging staff.
Unfortunately, the beds were rather uncomfortable as they were too bouncy. If these were better we would certainly come again.
Everything- accommodation, food, service ,staff, relaxed atmosphere, flexible arrangements, easy parking, very quiet. This was our third visit in 4 years.
The food was excellent served with a smile. Very pleasant surroundings.
The sign pointing the way to the hotel was rather insignificant.
The food is superb and great value for money.
Excellent food and a very comfortable room. Great bed and pillows. Beautiful garden where you can also dine or just have drinks. Would recommend and would stay there again when in the area.
Entrance road was very off-putting, this was not the owners fault or responsibility
The location was good, the breakfast staff lady was excellent as was the young lady who served us one evening. Thought the tariff was too high..
The lady owner was too interested in her Rotary Club members (Tuesday evenings) and her walking group on the Wednesday. We felt second class.
The room was clean and comfortable. The setting peaceful, location to town centre great. Parking good. Breakfast very good.
Plumbing in Shower needs to be sorted out. Drain away far to slow.
quiet location, good food
Pleasant, quiet location. Very good food at both breakfast and dinner. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Really excellent for a 2-star hotel.
Rainy weather meant I didn't get to enjoy the garden.
Very welcoming -excellent food
Church Bells through the night
Friendly staff, good food, pleasant very clean room. Quiet location - easy walk through a park into town. Good value for money. Surprised it only has two stars.
Wi-fi reception was intermittent in the room but fine in the rest of the hotel
Food very good Bedroom nicely sited Staff friendly
Poor TV reception generally including one night very intermittent similar with poor intermittent WiFi Ottery st Mary does not have much to offer
The menus for evening dinner were comprehensive, and the food excellent. Breakfast also offered a good range of cooked food with excellent service. Comfortable room even with a four poster bed taking up a considerable amount of room.
Public areas, namely the lounge and dining room, needed more heating as both felt cold. The bedroom on the contrary was so hot that we had to turn the radiator off. Access to the hotel was difficult, but this I understand is to be remided very shortly.
Good lighting in the bedroom to read! Very cheerful staff
Excellent breakfast in nice restaurant room, friendly staff, very good value for money (for a single room).
Ottery St Mary is fine but not spectacular.
The bedroom was clean and tidy and very nicely decorated. Nice ensuit with a bath which was great. The service and food at breakfast was lovely and a nice peaceful setting.
The room was a lot smaller than the pictures suggest. Could have been a bit cheaper but a lovely stay.
Large mature garden. Close to delightful old fashioned village, but with large Sainsburys and all four main banks. Ample parking . Excellent food and service.
Rooms rather small and furnishings typical of a two star hotel. However, everything worked well and we had no complaints.
Breakfast supplied one of the best full English we have experienced at Hotels
the location the breakfast
poor shower (due to hard water we were told)
I was there with my sister. We both enjoyed our 2 night stay there. We ate in one night and the food was very good as were the breakfasts. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were trying to trace family history and homes in Luppitt.
Only thing that I personally prefer is a non feather pillow. Perhaps I should have asked if they had one.
Friendly and helpful staff, lovely location and very comfortable beds.
Friendly staff, very good food.
