The room was super comfortable, immaculate and modern decor inc hot drinks and biscuits. Although advertised as a small double, just for myself it was more that adequate. Lovely clean bathroom, hot showers and great toiletries as well. The hotel is very beautiful inside and out. The breakfast in the morning was superb and the staff were very polite and accommodating. Central to the Ottery St Mary town so easy to walk in and beside a large Sainsbury’s. I highly recommend a stay here and hope to return myself sometime in the future.

Nestled between River Otter and its mill stream, this charming 17th century thatched cottage is set in the heart of the historic Ottery St Mary. The Tumbling Weir is a small family run hotel in tranquil, rural settings, 15 miles from Exeter and the Jurassic Coast. All rooms at the Tumbling Weir Hotel feature an en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, and a TV. Some rooms have far-reaching views of the beautiful surrounding garden and countryside. A full West Country breakfast, made of homemade preserves and fresh local farm produce, is served daily. The antique filled restaurant with its garden outlook is the ideal location for a light meal, bar snack or full a la carte dining experience. Guests can also enjoy al fresco dining in the covered, garden terrace. With an acre of pretty landscaped gardens, free parking, and easy access to the countryside, this hotel is also less than 7 miles to the beautiful coast. Ottery St. Mary, with its beautiful church, interesting walks and great shopping, is only half a mile from the property.
