This is a home away from home. The owner is very organised and takes a lot of pride in making the place top notch. Our room was so cosy with an ensuite, it was a struggle to leave in the morning. We enjoyed every bit of our stay here from the beginning till when we left. We loved it so much that we are going back again on sunday to experience more of ayr hospitality and a fantastic fry up.

We received a warm welcome from the Jackie, the lady of the house and everything went uphill from there. Very clean comfortable room (and beds) Controllable heating. Immaculate bathroom (small but perfectly formed!) Everything you can think of for breakfast from excellent coffee through Billy's home made tattie scone and Jackies delicious marmalade. The haggis was lovely too. We do feel that the price per room could be higher given the qualityof service and amenities provided. Absolutely, definitely no complaints!

This is a great inn. We traveled as a family of four, and the triple room with an extra cot was plenty big for our two night stay. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the innkeeper goes out of her way to make sure you're taken care of. Unfortunately, the inn is located near a main road, but the minor road noise wasn't enough to bother my family at all. The location within Ayrshire can't be beat -- near the shore, golf courses, historic castles and beautiful countryside.

We arrived a bit late and I had to leave early the next morning which meant I would miss breakfast. Jackie organised a breakfast I could take away with me which was great - much appreciated. The bed was big and comfy, room perfectly clean and nice bathroom.

Jackie the host, could not do enough to make your stay any better. Really looked after all the guests going out of her way to make breakfast earlier if required, and little touches i'n the room, water, sweets etc... Would definitely stay again if i'n the area.

We have stayed in several guest houses in Ayr and this is the best. We cannot fault it for anything! Hospitality, cleanliness, comfort and the best breakfast anywhere. We are very particular about where we stay and would rate this as good as any top class hotel!!!

Ideally placed for anyone wishing to visit the Ayr area. We are Longbow archers and shoot regularly at Culzean Castle and find that Turas-Mara is great for us to travel across to the night before. Jackie is so welcoming and always cheerful and helpful, breakfast is fantastic too. Have stayed a couple of times and will be back in the future and would reccommend to anyone.

Warm, friendly welcome. Plenty of space in comfortable bedroom. Generous breakfast. Curious, and inaccessible, position of wardrobe in bedroom. Only one chair (which was rectified as soon as we pointed this out)

Taras -Mara was spotless, and very comfortable . Jackie O'Neill, the owner, was most welcoming and can't do enough for her guests. The breakfast choice was excellent. I would recommend this B&B most highly and would be happy to stay there again.

very friendly welcome. nice clean and well appointed room. private and street parking available. near to the town centre and the esplanade. Excellent breakfast with home made potato scones. Just good all round. the wifi was very difficult to connect to. other signals in the area were stronger and interfered with connection. no real problem but if you needed to connect to the internet it is a struggle.

There were 4 of us, including my 79 year old mom, who stayed in two roomms. Jackie was extremely helpful. From helping us unpack our luggage, to recommending places to visit, shop, eat and park in Ayr and the vicinity. Breakfasts were outstanding with a good selection. The dining area was bright and open all the time. We really enjoyed our stay, and would stay again. There is a grocery store directly across the street.
