We went to Twickenham for the rugby. The bed and breakfast is a 5 min walk.
Rooms are very small and basic, have to sit to the side when using the toilet, waited for breakfast for 30 mins in a dark room as no staff was awake, went to reception to find staff asleep on a sofa in reception i had to wake him up for im to cook our breakfast, staff member didnt appologise for this just went into the kitchen to cook our breakfast, he was still in the same clothes that he slept in, our breakfast came out and my egg was under cooked as the the whites of my egg where still clear, and i found 2 hairs under my egg, it put my partner off his breakfast and once again no apology from him, didnt even attempt the breakfast the next day, when coming back from our day arrived back about 4.30 in the afternoon the same staff member was still in the same clothing he woke up in, i really do want a refund from this horrible experience, this place can be so much better with the correct care,
i loved the location small town 10 min walk away, and got a nice view of the Twickenham ground from our bedroom window, about 2 min walk from the ground.
The Wifi didn't work in our room. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we were met with an open door (our door was situated directly on the street!). We noticed that clean towels had been left. I asked the man at the desk who'd been in our room and locked the door without actually closing it properly. He said the cleaner must've not locked it properly. He then proceeded to ask if anything was missing - is your laptop still there, he asked. If the cleaner had been into our room how did he know we had a laptop at the other end of the room? You wouldn't see it from the doorway! He said he let the cleaner in, but she locked the door. This is pure rubbish! Either he'd been snooping about our room, or he's the one who didn't lock the door properly, and didn't want to admit it (which is the likely scenario). We got a sorry. Not really good enough.
Woken up by staff knocking on the door at 08:30 kn a weekend.
Nice, clean room. Good location with easy access.
Friendly helpful and God breakfast
Not the most welcoming of staff, needs a good spruce up, certainly wouldn't pay anymore than we did that night!
Location is brilliant, right opposite Twickenham stadium & near to town, cheap!
Because it was a rugby weekend the price was on the high side and I didn't appreciate having to pay an extra £10 to park outside the hotel on the Saturday, no charge for the Friday or Suunday.
Location was excellent for Twickenham stadium. Full english breakfast was good and bed very comfortable.
Very very expensive for the room, price hiked cause of the rugby.. Rip off but needed short walk due to bad back .small double bed , only one pillow each. Heating on full tilt .. Practically cooking! Noise from dropping/clattering of crockery from kitchen appalling. Noise from road awful.
Shower was rubish
How close to the stadium it was
everything other than location and price
location and price was great
A friendly bnb. Good value for money. Staff were excellent and polite.
Excellent breafast..dont take the girlfriend.
Very uncomfortable bed. Shower was unusable because the door was jammed/broken.
The price. And the breakfast was good.
Shower worked and it was hot but need attaching more safely to the wall.
Freshly cooked full English breakfast!
Nothing to dislike really.
Only stayed for one night, due to office Xmas party. Room was cozy, warm and with good facilities. Nice bed with very comfortable mattress. Nice facilities. Overall, it had a holiday feeling to it; it reminded me of the places I stayed in my cycling trips!
The staff is not friendly at all: to begin with, they make you pay in advance, which was shocking for me, being accostumed to pay in check out. They have breakfast but no menu, so you have to try and figure out what you can ask for breakfast. In this instance again the staff is not open to answering questions. In summary, the place is OK but the staff could improve.
the noise from the planes and the road
it was very central.the breakfast was very good value for money
Room was tiny, wifi didn't work for me. Basin far too small, breakfast was ok
A great location for staying for the rugby, bed was comfortable and sheets and towels clean.shower clean and tidy .
the bed, the room, the building, road noise, building noise, smell etc.
only the location
Double room was rather pokey. Carpet wasn't clean
Friendly staff Good cooked breakfast
The place is quite run down, there were cracked floor and wall tiles, the shower door was detached at one end, the shower was difficult to get to stay at one temperature, we had to stuff a towel along the bottom of the door to block the 20mm gap directly to the outside, the bed could only go in one place which was directly against the radiator, the curtains were missing several hooks, the carpet was threadbare.
The guesthouse is a stones throw from the ground. The bedding and the towels were very clean. Breakfast was served with a smile though it was limited for a full English breakfast.
Far too cramped.
Bed hard shower poor
Excellent location Breakfast great
