looked like I had made a big mistake when saw the front door but beautiful inside. Fantastic window with sea view able to sit and look for ages. Double glazing shut out noise from street. Very helpful staff, fridge in room. Huge room with interconnecting door to child's room. Dvd player and selection of dvds in both rooms. We were advised about nearest and cheapest parking and able to check in early. A beautiful, huge interesting building. Good value.

Was not made aware of any kitchen facilities. Pub next door loud until half eleven. Other guests singing at half two. Uncomfortable single bed. This was unfortunate for us as we were leaving at 6:30 for the ferry.

It did what it said on the tin..... very central lovely comfortable room friendly landlady/landlord liked that there was a roof terrace (although it could do with a make-over)

there was real milk in the fridge.

Stayed for one night. The "hotel" was very hard to find, a very small sign above the door, we missed it the first time walking up the road. I would not recomend this to any female traveller travelling alone. Certainly would not go back again

We received a very friendly warm welcome from the owners. The accommodation was very clean and obviously recently refurbished and was situated centrally. Free parking was 2 minutes walk away. The rooms were comfortable.

Wish we had booked a longer stay

Nicely decorated, good clean facilities. Comfortable clean bed.

Location - awful - very difficult to find even with SatNav. Just a doorway and a small sign stuck between a kebab shop and convenience store (doesn't show this on the web-site). Greeted by a 14 year old lad who did his best but not good enough. Rough part of town. Woken up at 3am by rowdy drunk three-some arguing about - well who knows? Wanted to leave early (worried about car in railway station car park) had to wake owner up so we could pay. Price was right but won't be going there again or recommending it to others.

shower with no privacy - old bedding - not luxury on suite - quite the opposite - no sea view even though advertised - in a busy street above a shop

We loved the location you couldn't get more central and the room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone

Although bathroom was spacious shower was a bit tight to get in and out off. But I am a slightly larger built guy.

Myself and my partner travelled by train, so the location was perfect being only a 5 min walk to check in and then a further 5 min walk to the seafront. Perfect! Friendly staff. Lovely and clean. No fuss or hassle. Would definitely stay again. Thankyou.

We weren't told about the 2 cats freely wandering around. I don't mind them, but am badly allergic to cat hair, so one to watch for. We had the family room, which consisted of 2 separate rooms. One room had shower, and the other had toilet. Fine for me and partner, but impersonal if have children/ friends occupying unless you play musical rooms.

The owners were extremely friendly and easy going. The place is very centrally located with easy access to the trains and buses. The street noise can be a little loud if the windows are open...but that was not a big deal. Gratis value for the price. Outside roof top patio was a bonus.

A spacious room and a shower that worked perfectly. Helpful and informative owner

Location on a main street makes this rather noisy
