Reception closed over night. Very few staff around
Wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The staff, room and food were all excellent.
When we arrived the car boot was in full swing on the Saturday. Slightly harder to park. (Hadn't been informed the car boot was on) One morning we were woken by a coach load of French children shouting. (Never did find out why they were there) The next morning we were woken by the dustbin lorries going past. So if you book ask for a room around the back of the building.and if your booking over a bank holiday Monday... The car boot is also on.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motorway couldn't be heard. Very convenient location for getting anywhere and everywhere. The room was nicely decorated and a fair size.
Relaxing, friendly staff nice atmosphere and excellent food.
The staff were amazing, so helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very comfortable and inviting. Perfect for our family
A great place to stay, we were treated like royalty, very comfortable and rooms that were really nice and warm. A real power shower with plenty of hot water. The bar, restaurant and food second to none. Thanks Twin Oaks and staff for making our stay so memorable. john and pam..
A great hotel which appears to have been recently refurbished, great room with en suite. The food both evening and breakfast was fantastic and staff to match!
TV cut off after a short period of time & would not switch back on. Room was smaller than expected & therefore I felt the charge was a little excessive.
Quiet location & easy to find plus the free parking. Staff very friendly & helpful.Food excellent.
Radiators way too hot and burnt me and my daughter.when I informed the staff on check out, she didn't really care!
The rooms were nice and clean.
Upon arrival the family ro we had booked had no bed made for the children I had to ask which was a sofa bed- this could have been made so much better with single fold out beds. The bathroom was freezing. The building looked like a little hut away from the rest of the building not hotel like at all. We also had to tune the TV in for the kids to be able to watch. Would not revisit. Especially when their excuse was due to a wedding that day!
There are a few ware and tear bits.
The food was of a very high standard, the staff were very friendly and it was an excellent evening over all
I turned up shortly after 10pm, and was handed a key to Room 25, in the 'annex'. Despite the fact that I had pre-booked, the heating was off, and this was on one of the coldest days of the Winter so far, and it had been snowing. I put the heating on, but because it was so very cold, I went and sat in the car for almost an hour, to give the room half a chance to warm up. Even then I had to go to bed with my socks on! You would have thought, given that they knew I was coming, that somebody would have put the heating on.
The best part about the stay was the politeness of the staff.
Food was OK but not brilliant
Mostly fine. Staff and service was good.
The hotel looked like a building sight from the outside, the room was stupidly hot but if you opened the windows it sounded like the M1 was next door, the car park/ carboot sale first thing on a sat meant we were woken up with all the passing traffic, literally outside the window. def not worth the £170 for 2 nights, and also had to wait 30 mins before we could even order food from the bar snack menu, the resurant was not even busy!!! would not go back again for the price!!!!
once inside the hotel it was very well decorated and very pleasant. just not worth the money with the location
Bathroom was cold and the extractor fan didn't work
Hotel was lovely nice friendly staff. The room was very nice (suite) bed was very comfortable. Bar drinks were good and there was a range of different breakfast to choose from which is nice and full Derbyshire breakfast was very nice
Website needs updating - no pool table or packed lunches
Great location, convenient for motorway but in countryside
Initial impression was that it Looks like a truck stop. Our room was in the annex, which was like a group of porta-cabins. The pump on the toilet was very loud, comments were made by other guests about it at breakfast.
Easy to find, excellent breakfast, looked recently redecorated, clean and tidy. Nice communal areas. Room was warm enough, with all facilities.
The suites were realy spacious and comfortable. Food was good and staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble.
Poor food. Exterior surroundings.
Just off the M1 close to many attractions such as Chatsworth and National Trust properties. We had a room downstairs with a private terrace overlooking the countryside. Modern, clean and very comfortable. Restaurant popular with local people
Staff went all out lovely suite highly recommend
Rooms to small Expensive price did not include breakfast Would only recommend if other reasonably priced hotel's were fully booked
Rooms were comfortable
Only gripe was our room did not have any opening windows, just doors to the balcony/decking outside. This made the room hot and stuffy at night even with a borrowed fan.
Everything - staff very friendly
Everything, especially the fudge cake x
Dreadful coffee in the morning! The outside could do with a make-over
Excellent food and lovely staff, very comfortable room ( we had a suite)
