Very good,
Score from 99 reviews
“Everything was absolutely fantastic. Had a really relaxing break. The room was lovely, the staff were pleasant, and the location was spot on. Although the food was a little expensive, we couldn't fault a single meal we had there, and we can't wait to go back again in the near future.”

Very comfortable and cheery especially with all the fires lit during a very, very rainy spell. Excellent food and wine--bar menu could be more extensive with wider choice for light snacks. Serving staff needed more training, especially in dining room.

They were very helpful and friendly. They provided us with an upgraded room after reading our guest reuest on the booking form. The food was excellent though service was slow, but waiting staff were excellent as to was the final mea once it arrived. Loction, standard of food, friendly staff, a country hotel feel and remote location.

Obviously the location. The hotel combined a subtle mix of informality and agreeable standards of hospitality. There was a lack of hotel information, the sort of thing normally found in a folder in the room. What was available was a general guide to current events in and around Dartmoor. Unfortunately it was out of date! However, this lack of information was compensated for by the helpfulness of the staff to whom I offer high praise.

Staff are very friendly especially Tess & Tim. The food was divine ( not often I use that word to describe food). The facilities are good and the location is excelllent. Room 9 has paper thin walls and I didn't appreciate the noise from the adjacent room (snoring) but thats life.

We loved the Two Bridges hotel and booked our return on checking out.We were upgraded to a fabulous four poster room which was spotlessly clean. The hotel is wonderfully cosy in Winter and the 3 course dinner was simply the best food we have eaten at a hotel.Thankyou all for a great stay. Can't wait to return in March! Extremely friendly staff from the welcoming to the departure. It was my 40th birthday and I wanted to escape from well meaning family and friends. Im glad I chose Two Bridges. I had complimentary champagne and truffles and the evening meal was the best I had ever tasted. A brilliantly quiet yet very atmospheric time. The staff here are beyond reproach and really go that extra mile for you, nothing is too much trouble.

Idyllic location for dartmoor, good food, nice bar with open fire, friendly reception. Changed our room without fuss after our previous one was placed next to wedding disco. Serving staff slow, took 15mins to take our order for breakfast and dinner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The choice of wine was good, as were the whiskies and the real ale was well kept. The location is superb for those wanting to get away from civilisation for a little bit. They also serve a great breakfast. It appeared that the hotel restaurant was frequented regularly by a group of slightly upper class locals who made the evening for my wife and I, with their intolerant comments about the world, always said loud enough for everybody to hear, and everytime one of them laughed we thought a herd of Dartmoor ponys had wandered into the lounge. I was a little disappointed with the room, although we were upgraded. The tv had no reception, the finish in the bathroom was a little shoddy and though we had asked for a no smoking room the cover on the four poster bed stank of cigarettes. My biggest disappointment though was the evening meal. If you didn't want to have a three course meal in the restaurant the choice of meals was very limited. For a restaurant that boasted an aa Rosette I was surprised that the mash and gravy were from packets and not prepared fresh.

The staff were incredibly friendly, particularly Tim the receptionist. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. The location is fantastic, very relaxing. I was disappointed there was a wedding on a Sunday and we were not informed. Due to the wedding the restaurant was closed for lunch and we had planned to have the "famous" carvery. The manager did supply a bottle of complimentary wine with our dinner as compensation.
