    Location

The warm beer. (I thought this had gone out with the dinosaurs.) Mediocre food. Music in the dining room. (What's wrong with quiet?)

Liked the location and the food served in the bar.

Pillows in the family room were not comfortable. Cooked breakfast was only ok.

Location and grounds were superb. The food in the bar was excellent and all the staff very friendly.

The only small gripe was that the shower room was a little 'tired'. But everything else certainly made up for it.

    Very clean.

Room sizes probably vary, but the twin room we had was very small - I include the bathroom. The room was over the bar. On the night we stayed this was very noisy with music and loud voices and whilst this quietened down at 11 you could still hear voices. Not the hotels fault but a fact.

Lovely room, very comfortable. Veggie breakfast could have been a bit more substantial but was very nice. Would definitely visit again.

All of the staff were very freindly. Lovely garden with tables. Good beer.

Double bed was small and matress dipped in the middle. Boiler in a cupboard in our room was quite noisy cutting in and out.

Location wonderful Beautiful old property very disappointing though from the welcome to the disgusting state of the bathroom

Filthy, Dirty and Disgusting Bathroom, which I ended cleaning myself. Photographs taken to enable complaint direct to hotel - basic and non committed response received back

The place was clean and the services at breakfast was very good

There was no information on booking a table in the restaurant. The bar alway had people standing at it,drinking and eating food, making it hard to get served.

Great location and lovely character building, very friendly staff.

Bathroom could be cleaner - shower tiles grouting dirty. Two clocks in room - neither worked. No bed head in single room.

Lovely place where the staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and service-minded. Very charming hotel pub where the guests were welcome to bring their dogs, which only added to the charm. Adorable room and garden. We certainly recommend this place and would love to return.

It would have been nice to have had a shower curtain around the bath so that one could take a shower standing up.
