Phil and Jen have created a beautiful B and B by paying great attention to the details. Spotlessly clean and the room had everything we needed. Huge choice for breakfast which was beautifully prepared and presented

The approach road was a bit rough

Everything about Ty Llwyd Hir is first class. Our room was spotlessly clean with high class furniture and accessories. Breakfast was plentiful and prepared to perfection...as were the cakes and drinks served on our arrival. The multitude of small birds (including the Woodpeckers) were a bonus...especially viewed through the binoculars provided in our room. Jen and Phil have obviously put a lot of time and effort to make Ty Llwyd Hir well worthy of its 5 star rating, and we wish them continued success.

There was nothing not to like.

Phil and Jen have done a great job with their B&B. Their concern for your comfort is paramount and we wanted for nothing. A pleasure to stay here and you do truly get a real "welcome in the hillside". This place deserves a full "10".

    Having to leave....!!!

It's a quiet area with lots of birds in the garden. The owners are very friendly and supply you with a perfect room and facilities. The breakfast is of excellent quality. Try the salmon with scrumbled eggs

We haven't any complaints at all!!

yllwyd Hir BnB is a gem. Phil and Jen have done a remarkable job at renovating an old house to 5 star quality. Everything was perfect from the warm reception to the views to the breakfasts to the immaculate detail of the finishings within the house. Our bedroom was immaculately clean - comfortable bed, top quality linen, clean shower and toilet - what more do you want? Nice touches too with top quality chocolates, soap, shampoo and creams. Tea and coffee available in the room and we were privileged to be served afternoon tea and cake when we arrived back each day - what a nice touch. Phil even booked us dinner at the "local" - "The Goose and Cuckoo" where the food was excellent. There is a Michelin 5 star rating on Tyllwyd Hir and deservedly so. We drove to the famous Lyn e Fan Fach(aprox. 20 minutes drive) and walked to the half way stage where there is a beautiful lake and awesome views. Just around the corner from there is a place to view feeding of wild kites (3pm) every day, well worth a visit. There are amazing waterfalls to view in the area too plus a few castles. Not to be missed is a drive over the top of the Black Mountains - absolutely stunning - we were lucky enough to see wild ponies which were grazing not 5m from where we stopped. So if you want a quiet, high quality BnB in the Brecon Beacons book this place now- you will not be disappointed. I have stayed in BnB's all over the world and Tyllwyd Hir is among the best. I really mean it. Thanks Phil and Jen - we had a fantastic stay.

Everything about this BnB was five star. Phil and Jen were wonderfully welcoming and engaging and even picked us up and dropped us back off at the end of their lane as our car would not take us up! They also booked a return taxi service for us and just generally could not do enough for us. One of the most tranquil and beautiful locations I've ever been too. Could not recommend enough!

If anyone is fortunate enough to come across this beautiful place to stay they are very lucky. My wife and I have just had a lovely weekend here. Jen and Phil make you very welcome on your arrival with tea and cake, which if the weather allows, is served on the patio outside, overlooking a beautiful valley. No traffic noise, only the sound of the local birds, [32 different species for the twitchers], and sheep munching on the grass. also three beautiful donkeys. Since Jen and Phil arrived here 7 years ago, they have obviously spent a lot of time and effort in making their property into this most attractive place to stay. Ideal for city buisiness people to "chill out",. Villages in the vicinity where you can enjoy a pint/glass on wine with your meal. And the best 'til last is Jen's breakfast which you will not better anywhere I have not mentioned the rooms, enough to say they are just beautiful, with lots of special touches like, chocolates, fruit, slippers, dressing gowns, soaps, scents etc. Towels and beds are again something else. Don't take my word for it, go and see for yourself!!. Dave and Ann Walsh., Trearddur Bay, Anglesey

The fact I could not find a fault.

We were so well cared for by Phil and Jen - they anticipated our every need! The views from the property are rivaled only by the "conversations" we had with the three donkeys.

Arrived in the rain , host came out with an open umbrella and escorted my wife into the house, symptomatic of the care we received throughout our stay. Venue spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfasts and very comfortable room. May well return for our next wedding anniversary
