Score from 472 reviews Fabulous
Beds for children offer very thin mattresses. Indoor swimming pool was fine but could have been warmer. The landscape and surroundings are wonderful. We were also impressed with the staff who went out of their way in the bar/restaurant area to be accommodating with children. Would definitely return!
The attention to detail in service staff very friendly nothing was too much trouble setting was adorable
some rooms are dimly lit not enough plug sockets in room near vanity mirror for hairdryer etc
great location a great choice for staying close to London with greater value than what you pay for a hotel in London The manager went above and beyond to make up for some renovation noise that was isolated to one room above us
Welcoming , professional , thorough enjoyable
Bathroom not clean , room service tad slow , meant food tepid
The grounds amazing and how peaceful and quiet
Sauna to small and should have a shared one went with partner and would off been nice for us to have sauna together also hot tub cold
friendly staff disability room huge warm and underfloor heating excellent breakfast
access for less able not good buggy broke down so had to deal with stairs
We loved the whole experience. We stayed on our wedding night and were made to feel special. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Tylney Hall is absolutely beautiful.
Myself and my husband were married at Tylney Hall 4 years ago. We like to come back at least once a year and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are lovely, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is very good. The piano player makes the night truly perfect. We hope this hotel continues to stay this way.
We were not provided with slippers this time round but I'm sure it was a mistake and would of been rectified with a quick phone call.
Beautiful setting Indoor and outdoor pools
Lovely beds. Lovely grounds. Ongoing investment. Lovely, lovely walks. Good breakfast. Super service. Great bed.
Fast internet was not as advertised. It is not cheap.
Nothing could have been finer! We have stayed here many times and it is a WONDERFUL hotel. Don't miss it.
very responsive staff upgraded for free
Bar staff, pre-dinner drinks, restaurant staff and food. Ambience and splendour.
Reception staff very weak- poorly received at arrival. Had pre-requested dinner time/ table and no note taken. Rooms cold and damp/ needed electric heaters as heating not working. Wifi not working and reported many times and no action. No hot water first thing in morning. Furnishings getting tired. Bathroom with some mould.
Quality of accommodation, and variety of facilities. Immediate surrounding area and views, as well as choice of nearby places to visit, and particularly wide selection of good country pubs.
While the staff were friendly and obliging, the service was poor. They brought out the wrong order on one occasion, and on another occasion a warm glass of white wine. They fixed the problem, but to happen twice in 2 days was poor.
location, breakfast, room,grounds,staff
room was too hot, but accept that air-conditioning in this type of building is impractical.
Surroundings, facilities, cleaniness,curtosey of staff
Location and tiredness of our room, due to having a dog!! Bathroom was very basic.
Beautiful house and gardens, faultless staff, with fine dining.
The rooms were extremely hot, and good old health & safety ment the windows could not be opened very far.
Great breakfast.Amazing grounds,and gardens.Very friendly staff,and lovely public rooms.
Although my booking was made well in advance, the room was poor, almost against a brick wall.I telephoned the hotel prior to arrival, asking if it were a refurbished one,and was told no,but a very beautiful one,it was not. It was very shabby and needed attention in a big way.As I was only there for a week-end I did not complain.
...And we will return! The grounds are stunning, and the house is lovely; both with lots of places to explore for little people. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is great, and we all look forwarde to it from one day to the next. The pools are also fab! And the gift bag for little people waiting on the extra bed upon arrivial makes children and parentes feel very welcome.
Cannot think of anything.
The Hotel and surroundings were beautiful, it was very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the room was very comfortable. It was a lovely place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and would not hesitate in staying there again.
Although the staff in the Oak Dining Room were extremely pleasant, we did find it difficult to understand what they were saying, which made us feel rather uncomfortable. Also the Hotel towels could be softer.
Great outdoor pool and fabulous grounds. Excellent fruit for breakfast especially the berries. Great service. Room upgrade
WiFi didn't work for us, even the paid for upgrade to "fast". Dinner service went a little "pear shaped". Steak not what I had hoped for
All of it
Didn't have any complaints
Good location and setting
Staff service was awful and had massive problems with our check-ins. The bar was awful and drinks were more expensive than London prices. Bar staff could only speak broken English and could not serve drinks properly. If you are spending over £10 on a Gin & Tonic, you expect it to be done properly and with a smile
Everything, very nice rooms, great afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. Beautifully kept gardens. Lovely old country house atmosphere.
