Hyde Park Court Hotel  

I was a bit worried since this place gets mixed reviews, but we got a lovely room on the first floor. The room was facing the street, but since it is a quiet area this was no problem regarding noise from the street. The room had big south facing windows, so lots of light and easy to get some fresh air. Room was quite big for London, and the bed was nice and big as well, comfy and with a real duvet. Bathroom was nice and clean shower and plenty of towels, soaps etc. We did not use the hotel breakfast restaurant but bought bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. from the nearby shops. There is a big organic supermarket just 2-300 meters from the hotel and also lots of other shops (Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S Food +more). There are coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Location is really convenient, close to Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington Tube stations. Hyde Park is a 5 minute walk away, and we also walked to Portobello Road. Just behind the hotel is a Barclay's bicycle hire station. Brilliant concept - pay £1 per bike pr. day and after that you just take out a bike, drive to whereever you are going and leave it at another docking station. The docking stations are all over town, and if you use the bike 30 minutes or less, it is free. This was a perfect way for us to explore the city and avoid the sometimes congested tube. Maps of all the docking stations are available at Tourist Informations. Whiteley's shopping mall is just 200 meters from the hotel. It's a quiet place but has some of the high street shops, a cinema, restaurants etc. A nice place. We also went to a very popular Persian restaurant, Anoulak, just next to the organic supermarket. Very popular, so we had to queue, but absolutely worth it and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Room is very small

You get owhat you pay for. Not more nor Lessy No luxery at All, not for disabled People. But really a good location. Lots of restaurants, super markers etc.close by.

I was based in oxford circus, I took a bus which dropped me just about outside the hotel, so very convienent for my stay. The room was a double on the ground floor, the room was fine, bathroom small but adequate. Plenty of clean towels, althouugh the room was quite warm, I had to turn off the heating, but would be good in winter.

The only down side for me was, I must have been above the tube, as every time a train went by the room rumbled, but it did not affect my sleep, think the trains stopped about 11.30pm.

We can't thank the hotel staff. enough. They certainly went the extra mile for us. Please convey our grateful thanks and apologies for causing them extra work.We would love to stay with you again.

Room were little small. but ok

The location was brilliant as only a 5 minute walk from paddington. The room was clean and tidy.

I had to repay for hotel on arrival after hotel forgot to take money out of bank. The staff could of been more helpful. The room door stuck and it was extremely hard to get in and out of room even to the point I pulled the handle off. And finally we was on the top floor and there was a lot of stairs to climb which are awkward with big bags.

Nice staff and great value for money.After reading reviews not quite sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was clean and comfortable and 2 minutes walk from tube. Yes, the rooms were not huge and the bathrooms were compact, but for the price it was fine. The breakfast had a reasonable selection, could have been hotter, but goes for all hotel buffets.I will be staying there again with my children on my next trip to London.Overall would stay again as so convenient from m4.

Brilliant location about 30 metres from a main entrance to paddington. Good luggage storage after checkout. Clean well equipped room and friendly helpful staff. . My request for a quiet room was met with no difficulty.Comfort, fast check in and check out, not much hassle, close to rail and transport. Very helpful and courteous staffs and will always greet you with a smile.I Will definitely use the hotel again.

The dealing with the breakfast was confusing.

very nice comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed at the 4th floor, (highest floor). The room was very clean and nice and had everything! the location is excellent as it is next to the Paddington station. The price comparing to other hotels of same category and location was very good. what else is left to say?

Small bathroom, no full English breakfast.

The price And location of this hotel is very good. You are only 5mins walk away from Hyde park and paddington tube. Although the rooms were quite small they were still clean and if you arrive at this hotel knowing the rooms will be small then you have a pleasant stay as your expectations have not been raised to expect a large room. On the whole hotel was fantastic, location fantastic lots of shops nearby serving all day breakfast. Also the area is very nice for the image you have of London of cobbled street etc on the whole was a pleasant stay and throughly enjoyed the trip.

The water could of been hotter and there was hardly any water pressure.

Every staff member was always friendly and courteous. Althought the rooms were on the small side they where comfy and clean. They were cleaned every day with fresh towels. It's very close to paddington station which I found handy for catching the heathrow express as well as using the tube. There were also many food places around.This was a lovely hotel to stay in. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are quite small but I didn't find this to be a very big problem at all.

I was in the basement of the hotel and was hearing the nice sound of the metro every 3 min..; from 5am to midnight...
