Hyde Park Court Hotel  

I was a bit worried since this place gets mixed reviews, but we got a lovely room on the first floor. The room was facing the street, but since it is a quiet area this was no problem regarding noise from the street. The room had big south facing windows, so lots of light and easy to get some fresh air. Room was quite big for London, and the bed was nice and big as well, comfy and with a real duvet. Bathroom was nice and clean shower and plenty of towels, soaps etc. We did not use the hotel breakfast restaurant but bought bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. from the nearby shops. There is a big organic supermarket just 2-300 meters from the hotel and also lots of other shops (Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S Food +more). There are coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Location is really convenient, close to Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington Tube stations. Hyde Park is a 5 minute walk away, and we also walked to Portobello Road. Just behind the hotel is a Barclay's bicycle hire station. Brilliant concept - pay £1 per bike pr. day and after that you just take out a bike, drive to whereever you are going and leave it at another docking station. The docking stations are all over town, and if you use the bike 30 minutes or less, it is free. This was a perfect way for us to explore the city and avoid the sometimes congested tube. Maps of all the docking stations are available at Tourist Informations. Whiteley's shopping mall is just 200 meters from the hotel. It's a quiet place but has some of the high street shops, a cinema, restaurants etc. A nice place. We also went to a very popular Persian restaurant, Anoulak, just next to the organic supermarket. Very popular, so we had to queue, but absolutely worth it and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

internet access was weak

Excellent value for money; good clean room; good breakfast; courteous staff. We needed a specific location near family and this fitted the bill. We have stayed here before and been satisfied. Its location is close to railway station and buses into city centre.

Reception at check in was very friendly, the room was superb even though it was a small single it had plenty of space and a very comfortable bed.Everything worked very well - a perfect hotel with very good location.Location is great, very nice area. Closeby are many restaurants and an Underground station. This hotel is recently renovated, very nicely done.

The location is perfect, just 2 minutes from the tube

Poor service and bad quality of the hotel for high money. If you have to stay there take your own bedding and desinfection with you.

The staff is very friendly, we did feel welcome at the hotel from the first moment.

Never stay in G03, G02 G01, the tube trains are right below your bed! Shocked to hear that there is no brown bread available as a choice, when asked had very rude answer from reception/management that it is specialised and needs to be pre ordered. The white bread was stale...

The hotel was in a excellent, central London location & the price of stay was excellent based on the service, cleanliness & location of the hotel itself. Stayed for 3 nights found the staff very friendly and helpful , ideal location for traveling via heathrow airport only 15 minutes by the express train to paddington and less than 5 minutes walk to hotel, would stay again wnen in London.

We ask for a quiet room and we were given a room right at the top of the hotel. The room was as expected small...small but well equipped. The bed was supprisingly comfortable and the continental breakfast included egg on toast. We've stayed in a few hotels in Norfolk Sq. and they all offer about the same but the Hyde Park was cheaper than the rest. I would deffinitely book here again.

It was fantastic and the people who worked there were fantastic. They Even upgraded my room. Really close to paddington station, tube was in easy reach to explore London . They organise taxis for us and were just fantastic. Home from home this place is and highly recommended .Good standard, clean, Will definitely be staying again soon thank you for our great experience in London.

Close to town

The bathroom was so small I was able to have a shower, a sh*t and a shave at the same time!!

I found this hotel after searching for affordable hotel rooms.it was Very convenient to Paddington Station. Many eating option close by. Clean, Value for money.Because of the price and it's closeness to Paddington Station, I expected it to be noisy and maybe a bit shabby, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and comfortable, The room was very clean, quiet and nicely decorated. We had tea and coffee facilities and a good sized TV. We arrived late for breakfast, We would stay here again and recommend it.

Going up 4 flights of stairs to the room no lift was hard.
