A lovely hotel, with attention to detail in everything. Staff very warm and welcoming. Really loved it, will return again
Location and surrounding friendliness of staff
ThE location was great and the hospitality
The bed was not comfortable
Lovely welcome, smashing room, superb dinner and fantastic breakfast! This really is a lovely little hotel and you'd be crazy to stay anywhere else.
I didn't like the fact that I couldn't stay longer :-)
Everything was of excellent quality. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and proprietor. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
The first night we stayed in a court yard room which was lovely and just as described with a wonderfully comfortable and very wide bed. Huge bathroom too.
On the 2nd night we checked into a standard room in the house (Rm 6). Again lovely but all the mirrors were too low and I'm not overly tall (5' 7") but my head was above the mirror. The same for the dressing table!! Very frustrating. Also the bed was not nearly as comfortable as the courtyard room.
The staff were fantastic very helpful.
unique courtyard room which was comfortable and quiet. excellent bar and restaurent friendly and helpful staff
potholes in the road leading to the hotel!
Very friendly staff, nice room and good food. Quiet and comfortable with lots of nice extras.
Lovely surroundings and peaceful.
Like many other hotels and restaurants, chairs are arranged so that they can easily get bumped by staff or other customers. My wife and I hate this. The problem is solved with bench seats or booths where no one can pass behind anyone sitting eating a meal.
Fine dining relaxed atmosphere
The total ambience.......... the pleasant and helpful staff, good food, the feeling of peace and tranquility, the private garden, the feeling of space and comfort.
Lovely hotel, staff and service. Very comfortable room. Food was excellent. Fully recommended. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
The staff were wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic (fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meals x 2) with a very nicely thought out wine list with very reasonable mark-ups. Good to see! I treated myself to a very special bottle on the last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main part of the hotel is very warm, welcoming and a lovely mix of modern (conservatory area) and traditional (the very cosy lounge). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are after a treat combining great food and wonderful location..
While in no way did it detract from my wonderful stay the room I was in (smaller double - separate from the main building) was showing some signs of tiredness and needed some modernisation. However, the overall stay was still five stars
We are just back from a 2 night say in Tyn Rhos house and enjoyed every minute of it! From the moment we arrived Steve made us feel so very welcome. The staff were excellent. They couldn't do enough and went out of their way to accommodate a dietary requirement. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and it was delicious. There is plenty of space to relax with a cosy lounge complete with a great big fireplace. There is also a conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was super. The setting of the house is beautiful. It is surrounded by rolling hills in the countryside and is an ideal spot for total relaxation. Llanberis is located about 10 mins drive and is a must see! Located on a beautiful lake at the foothills of Snowdon it is picture perfect and you can catch the train up to Snowdon from here too. We hope to be back some day!
Leaving! It takes a lot to find something to dislike. More of a recommendation would be to have small fridge in the room.
everything particularly the way you looked after my guest on the sunday my local family will be visiting again
no telephone in rooms noice from room above
Warm welcome Room Fantastic food Views
Having to go home!
The owner and the staff were super-helpful. The breakfasts and dinner were really delicious. The room was so comfortable, and it was nice to have tea and coffee with cookies available in the room.
Nothing. We didn't have a car, so transportation was a bit of a problem, but the staff helped and we were able to use cabs and public transportation for all the sightseeing.
Breakfast, very good!
Owners attitude, which was reflected in the staff. Example; no phone in the room, I had to get dressed to visit reception to report tv not working. I expressed my disappointment regarding the phone to the owner and was met with a frosty response that they were a Country House and not an Hotel??!! Didn't quite understand what that had to do with no phone in the room considering it was annexed away from the main building! At dinner I ordered surf and turf, the steak was cold. I left 90% of the steak and although I didn't complain I was surprised that I was not asked if there was anything wrong and if I enjoyed the meal. Typical "couldn't care less attitude" Disappointed that the Court Yard Suite was just a large bedroom and that the outside area was not usable because it was not lit. We requested candles so we could sit outside with a glass of wine and relax.... The staff did not or could not be bothered to supply any form of lighting.... Very disappointing as I booked this room for the outside experience! On checking out, the owner was FROSTY, didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay or ask if we would return....seemed more interested in getting back to doing whatever and getting rid of us as soon as possible,,,,, VERY DISSAPOINTED and felt that £165 per night was far too expensive for the quality of the room.
Delicious, beautifully presented food Friendly, professional staff Splendid location Plenty of car parking Spacious room with good facilities Slick, efficient administration Murphy - the elderly family pet
Just about everything it was so friendly the staff couldn't do more for you. Food was excellent we enjoyed it so much we have booked for New Year.
