The toon! Big room. Great price, accomodates last minute bookings. Fast Wifi.
Not a thing!
The place smelled musty as soon as you walked in. The bathroom was actually gaggingly foul smelling. The shower doors were broken and the shower was dirty. I doubt if the place would pass any hygiene or safety tests.
The location and value for money
Room was clean bed was comfy
Could hear the people in the above room (roung revelers) which did stop after a while, and there was no curtains in our room which looked out on the street and the blinds had some missing apart from this all very good
Affordable. Clean. Good Staff. Big Room.
Shared Bathroom and toilet with another room. Walls are so thin you can hear people in the next room like they are sat in front of you and also the people above us.
Car parking available Tea/coffee making facilities - although basic
Room view - 6 old beds and mattresses Room - Not as described Shared bathrooms and toilets - ALL either not in working order, filthy or without correct equipment (no toilet paper/soap/hand towels or dryer) Didn't feel safe Extremely noisy through the night - other guests arriving back, shouting and banging doors as well as the constant noise the pipes made every time the washing facilities were used by someone Not a good experience - thankfully only the one night booked!
The location. The tandoori restaurant is erellevant as it was closed aswell. So did not get yo try it out.
Due to planning agreement with the council not granted. The venue was closed without prior notice to customers. Personal data is still at risk.
Friendly young people using the hotel to have a good week-end in Newcastle.. no frills but not troubles, and supportive staff
Breakfast option would have been nice and a bit more utility in the rooms (like a mirror over the sink)
Cheep clean room
Plenty of drunken stag and hen parties, someone was sick in one the trailers that were shared
nothing. The whole place is simply horrible, disgusting and by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
Blood stained bed sheets. Prostitiues knockin on the door at 4am offering services. Disgusting in every way. Also. A terrible choice of snacks at the vending machine, but atleast it worked.
Location, quick walk to the metro station for easy access to newcastle centre.,,,shopping, restaurant, bars, quayside.
Room stank of smoke, shared bathroom, poor location
We checked in around midnight after a long journey from Sandford , near Bristol, we could not get any rest or sleep there was a party in other room which i had to go and knock on the door to lower theri music , people were being sick in the toilet on the floor with faeces everywhere, we had to contact booking.com at 3am about our situation nothing coild be done till morning, In the morning we asked to cancell another night which we were suppose to stay. and the staff were ok with that This was one of dirty places that i have ever stayed i would never recommend this anybody and i think it should be shut, we have video footages of the state of the place and the noise
The room we had did have its own facilities but it was behind reception which Eas extremely noisy especially at 4am when lots of people were coming back in from a night on the town. Sheets were extremely clean as were the two white towels provided
Far too noisy. Some rooms had shared facilities which added to the noise especially at 4am when lots if people seem to arrive back from their night out. There was a lot of shouting and singing plus footsteps and doors slamming as each person walked the corridors to use the bathrooms. When we arrived the reception area was full of clutter and appeared scruffy. It was a very dated building and although we had a large bedroom the double bed was pushed up against one wall. One light didnt work and there was only two plug sockets. I asked to be moved as I realised next to reception and the main entrance was not ideal but was told they were completely full.
Shared facilities dirty
Nothing. Had a terrible night.
Managers attitude was rude. Full of drunken people all over the place throughout the night. Shouting abusive language.
It was cheap and basic, room was clean and value for money for what I paid, This 'hotel' is only for the people who do not mind basic, Its cheap and close to a metro station, did what I needed it to do, a place to crash :)
One of the toilets could have been cleaner
I honestly thought for the price £27.99 on GNR weekend my basic single room in the basement was fine; reasonably quiet and clean. Staff were fine also
First toilet I went into had plumbing fittings just left all over the floor, but was locked in the end. Found other toilets and they were ok
Decent clean rooms
Prefer own bathroom but was no issue and was clean
Only stayed here cause everywhere else was fully booked due to the Great North Run. Everything about it was just awful. - shower was disgusting and plug hole blocked, meaning quick shower or would flood the bathroom. - shower up on high step, meaning had to be really careful getting out as could easily slip and break neck. - at one point, all three toilets were out of loo roll and toilets weren't regularly checked. - showers were very dirty. - walls and windows are thin meaning awful sleep. Loads of people shouting in the night. - staff didn't even seem bothered, or were slow at getting things done like checking in - the whole place needs a massive do up as carpets were frayed, titles were chipped or had come off, and needed a lick of paint. - pillows were ridiculously thin, meaning I woke up with a sore back each morning. - TV was in a silly place compared to how the room was set up. I'm sure there's more, but this is all I could think of off the top of my head. Avoid at all costs if possible.
Very close to city centre (15min walk)
Booked a room for 2 people and expected 2 beds as agreed on booking details, on arrival there was only 1 single bed, fair enough they put another bed in the room for us returning at night, just unnecessary hassle!
Shower and hot water.
Most of my stay. Noisy, poor staff,
It would take too long to itemise it all but, broken showers, broken mirror, broken wardrobe , broken dressing table, tv with no remote control, communal toilets with no locks, or should I say broken locks. Blocked toilets, no toilet paper. Police all over the place, rowdy guests, more police in the morning, broken lifts , Could go on, but suffice to say I won't be going back and anyone can mark it anything other than the bare minimum is either family friends or off their rocker.I Paid over £200 for three nights but didn't stay for the remaining two. Enough said!!
Booking out and staff okay
Toilets dirty, room not great, very cheap but expect little
