Situated in the picturesque seaside town of Barmouth, lying on the estuary of the River Mawddach and Cardigan Bay, Min y Mor Hotel boasts an enviable location by the sea.
Score from 134 reviews Very good
This large Victorian house offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site, just 2 minutes’ walk from the sandy Blue Flag Barmouth Beach. It has uninterrupted views of the spectacular Cardigan Bay sunsets....

Morwendon House, meaning "white wave of the sea" is in the quiet village of Llanaber and has beautiful panoramic views of Cardigan Bay.

Sea view and very unique place to stay, beautiful setting and ideal location
the venue, the view and the food
Ideal location for Snowdonia national park and all other places.
Great location, very close to Barmouth, small but very cosy rooms, a stunning sea view with a balcony, and a dining room with a similarly fantastic view, and really friendly and helpful staff, especially the European guy who served breakfast. Great value, and would stay again.
The shower was not great, more of a lukewarm dribble than a shower. We mentioned it to the hotel and it seems to be a known issue. The rooms are fairly small, we found ours to be very comfortable but the size might be worth keeping in mind if you are travelling with a lot of stuff.
Very friendly reception with a nice tour, excellent services, beautiful sea views and good food.
The building is beautiful inside and out. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, courteous and pleasant. I had a lovely sea view. It is a pleasant walk down to the harbour. I have no complaints about my short break at this establishment.
The location and views Food excellent Friendly and helpful staff
The en-suite was very small and poorly laid out
Excellent location overlooking Barmouth and the sea. Friendly staff. Really, really good food.
I didn't expect a modern building or facilities but didn't expect it to be so in need of upkeep either.
Good location, interesting building, friendly staff and nice warm room and corridors.
Breakfast tasty but small portions.
staff were more than polite, food was excellent, views were lovely
the small bathroom and the toliet noise on flushing
Fantastic views, food delicious, cute but small room but what do expect from a late 19th century Country House. Very interesting history behind the house, well worth the slight inconvenience.
Historical tour on arrival. Excellent and reasonable dinning . We'll worth a visit if you are in this area.
Not a thing
Welcoming and friendly. Wonderful views. Great food.
The friendly, helpful staff and the welcome tour provided by the owner on arrival with a detailed background of the castles' history.
The room was very small and in need of some TLC and a good dust especially behind the door and the bed.
Staff are great and friendly. The views to die for and the food lovely. (fillet steak) wow
only having 2 days there
Thoughtfulness and helpfulness of everyone we met. I often wake very early and it was made very easy for me to use the extremely comfortable lounge.
We were very impressed with the reception areas. They are certainly grand and worth admiring.
We didn't like our bedroom. It was smallish and rather drab. After seeing the reception areas we expected some style.
small, privately owned hotel, a refreshing change from the large, modern, impersonal chains. Good food and service, clean and generous rooms.
The food and staff were really good, and the hotel was lovely, with easy access to the nearby town.
the bathroom was far too small.
having to leave
I loved the Turret room and it is a beautiful building. The location is fantastic with amazing views of the sea. The breakfast was good and the staff polite and attentive but not overly so - just right.
The décor is a bit dated for my taste although the building itself is stunning. When we came down to breakfast there was a pervading smell of mouldy bread which I found quite disconcerting - however the bread for breakfast was very fresh. My biggest regret is that we were in a first floor turret room and the room next door had access to a balcony that looked into our room. So we had to shut the blind and didn't wake to a sea view which disappointing - this is why I thought it was not good value for the money - I thought it would be really special.
Views, turrets and staff
Nothing major but you would not stay at Tyr Graig Castle for the facilities.
Excellent service by staff, very clean and comfortable. Excellent view from room.breakfast was very good.
Views, service, rooms, food, all great
no complaints from me......
Perfect for a short break from the rat race. Great meal and friendly staff. The chapel by the sea, just outside of Harlech, has the best quiet beach.
Walk to the beach (only about 10 mins), but path a bit steep... especially after a couple of beers ;)
