The staff were friendly and also gave us a late check out which was fantastic and really appreciated. The breakfast was nice also and we had a lovely room. The room was cosy and the bed was really comfy and it was an ideal location for us.

First of the greeting at reception was that of what you would expect from a ***** star hotel but in my case at a price which was very competitive. The person on reception tried to understand my purpose for the visit which I did not see as being intrusive but helpful given that he was able to support me with advice on my evening out. The bedroom was very surprising given that this was the first occasion to use a Days Hotel. Quite frankly it was excellent. The breakfast could have done with the food being replenished more however I have to say when I arrived in reception there was enough for me but the next person would have had to ask. Overall the restuarant was good, spacious, clean and sufficient in size to accomodate numbers.

The room was lovely and immaclatly clean. The staff were friendly and polite and the breakfast was awesome. The noisy student neighbours in the halls next to the hotel was woken by a group of druns at 3am and again at 5.

The staff forgot to make a wake-up and reserve a taxi, as a result my brother and his friends missed the plane! That is the only but very important reason I would not recommend this hotel

bed was comfortable and big not clean and wired internet is less than 1MB. We upgraded to an Executive room which was big, but the toilet flush did not work, TV was too far away. Lack of sugar and tea. But the bed was comfortable and big. The room was very far away from the lift and old carpet in the corridor made it hard to pull/push the suitcases.

Although the room was small, it had everything I needed. The compact layout was very functional - reminiscent of a study bedroom in a hall of residence (which I suspect this building may have been in a previous life). The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly, but in a fairly quiet location. Breakfast was excellent and good value.

The hotel is in a central location and was close to where my business meetings were being held. The room was clean and there was a good buffet breakfast. The room was very cramped and the walls were very thin so you could hear what was going on in the rooms on either side. A major problem for me was that there was no internet connection in my room. The Booking.com and Days Hotel web site both say that there is internet in all the rooms. This was very important to me as I needed to work on documents and emails throughout the evening and early morning in a quiet environment. I could not find any evidence of either a wired connection or wifi. When I asked at reception I was told that there was none in the single rooms. I was told I could use the wifi in the public areas but that was not a viable alternative as I needed to work on documents in private. The hotel needs to change it's description of the rooms accordingly.

location for town centre shopping, easy acces to station when we settled in,nearer than we expected, after directions given by the information centre in the station, a lady taxi driver was very, very helpful. The theatre where we went was again just round the corner. The cost of the breakfast`s in the dining area, when there was a perfectly good place just (2) minutes walk away.

From the minute we entered hotel the staff couldn't be more helpful. The receptionist was polite courteous and took his time to explain offers in bar and restaurant and gave us directions to Bridgewater Hall where we going later, despite a queue building behind us. He didn't make us feel rushed. We were pleasantly surprised by spacious twin room with very comfy beds. We ate in the conservatory bar and enjoyed an excellent meal with complimentary glass of wine. Again the staff in here were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short city break and will certainly use it next time I stay in Manchester Loved the swinging ball!!!!! If there was any criticism it was the bathroom although spotlessly clean, was a little tired with some of the units showing signs of water expansion. There was also a rather large stain on the bedroom carpet which I know can't be helped but was a little off putting but otherwise we were more than happy with the service and standard of accommodation for the price we paid.

Friendly stuff. Conservatory bar, good prices, reasonable menu + big screens for sport events. Large lobby, with wifi very business oriented. They need to do something with showers, a lot of water goes out. They charged me 9pounds of phone bill that I haven't used.
