We sent to a concert at Manchester Apollo which was a 15 minute walk away. Quite convenient for that. Also the next day we went shopping in the City which again was about a 15 minute walk away in the other direction so the hotel was conveniently placed. The large multi storey car park is right next door and was only £7 for the 24 hours we parked there. It is £10 for 24 hours in the week days and only £2 all day on a Saturday! We went on Friday evening and left the car there until Saturday evening. We paid Saturday rate for parking after midnight on the Friday. Good value. Would recommend staying there. The only thing we didn't like about the hotel was the room was very very small. Not much room at all and no seats to sit on as there would have been no room for an easy chair or two! Ok if you are only staying for a night but not much fun if you are there for a few days! I think it's the smallest double room I have ever stayed in. Very clean and nice decor though so to be fair it was great for an overnight stay.

Good breakfast experience. Convenience for business location. Poor control of room temperature - too hot. Insufficient choice of pillow softness - too thin and hard.

Most of all the service of the staff, brilliant just excellent! After that it must be the hotel it self, clean every where you look and very taste decorated! Than the location near to the shops. I would recommend it to all my friends. Thank you!

I've stayed there before and the facilities are great for a one night stay in the City. It was a perfect location for the conference I had to attend the next day. No shower cap in the room.

I was lucky to book the hotel 50% off. I had a great little room with double comfy bed and bathroom clean and fairly new. Everything much better then I expected for the price I payed, and could say worth the full price. Would definitely recommend and stayed there again!!

The room was very compact for two people and was a bit dusty. Also the lighting in the room was not that great as you had to draw the curtains to get changed as the room overlooked a busy forecourt

The location was good, friendly helpful staff, quiet, not busy at meal times, easy to find your way around, gestures such as fortune cookies in the bedroom. The room was a lot smaller than expected so it was okay for a one night stay but probably wouldn't choose it for a break exceeding one night. The breakfast also wasn't that good for the price you pay, limited food, hard eggs etc. More facilities such as a swimming pool or gym also would have been ideal.

Location (near the center of city) and far enough from main roads. The 'pre-authirization' of a bank card. After cheking out it takes much time (about a week) for banks to make your card to be unlocked on amount of money that hotel pre-authirized (for foreign travellers).

Courteous staff, cleanliness, location were all exactly what we were looking for in central Manchester. Nearby parking was reasonable - £10/day. Evening meal could have been better - some ingredients missing, wine wrongly described.

Good location, staff friendly, hotel clean and quiet. The room for single occupancy really really small, bathroom you can barely move inside; room not so bright, the only one window I would say maybe it s too small and on the door you can still see the holes and scratches from a previous card reader installed... Not so nice estetically!!!

Staff don't know how to prepare invoice and wasting time when I check out. They said Booking.com will send me the invoice but I said it is Days Hotel charged my credit card. They are ignorant, but they made it up and emailed me the invoice 2 days later. I am fine with this hotel overall.

It was convenient, close to the station (Piccadilly - although only if you use Fairfield exit!!!) and the venue we were attending. It was clean and fairly comfortable although the pillows were too low and no spares were available. Reception was efficient and professional - we checked in at different times but this was handled without any difficulty - they were more than happy to provide an additional key card. It is close to the University but (possibly because they have all gone home for Christmas) it was really quiet. It is a basic hotel but as basic hotels go it was one of the better ones. Directions to the rooms could have been a bit more clear - its a big venue as well and the lifts are small, which was a bit of a headache when we all checked out at the same time.

A little out of town as far as shopping goes, but only 5 mins walk to Piccadilly and China Town. Lot of good pubs around. My wife liked the Gay area around Canal St, but I felt a little intimidated. Each to thier own. Good, mid -priced hotel, excellent breakfast and very handy for the nearby mukti storey car park. Would definitely stay again. Some of the bedrooms looked a little tired. Wider range of Freeview tv would have been appreciated. Don't reckon much to watching the Midlands version of Granada tv, especially when Granada is broadcast from only about 3/4 mile away.

Very local for what we needed. All we wanted for one nights stay. Although we were only in room for a short time it would have been nice to have functioning tv. The signal was very poor and unwatchable. We did read this in a review, but assumed it was a one off.

The service and food were good. As my conference was also in the hotel, the location was excellent. I liked the room, a double, but I think it would have been very small for 2 people. I like the possibility to open the window and switch off the heating. I find most hotels over-heated and therefore difficult to sleep in. Reception staff could have been more friendly. They were courteous and efficient, but not friendly.
