Well I liked the nearness to my house.
I didn't like the fact that the sheets were not clean, the tv chanel seems hard to operate. you have to knock outside for a long time before the door is opened. The rooms vary greatly for the same amount.
cleanliness and quiet
receptionist sat on the dinning table with his laptop while i was trying to eat my dinner .
Clean and quite. Well maintained by the staff.
It was comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, it was warm and we got coffee and tee, what i see for a first time in a hostel. We had a really great time in union cottage. there was everything we needed in the kitchen and bath as well. thank you!
There was a family with small children next to our room, and they were really loud. And nobody said anything.
Customer service was great, rooms had nice heating
The customer service was good, they helped me when I needed, the facilities were also available.
Clean and quiet
No reception, an emergency exit inside the room to a dark back garden, feeling of unsafe place, a noisy shared kitchen in front my room, a hose turned into a hotel. I don't know how Booking.com could recommend a place that seems to be amateur! No website!
Location was good enough, room temperature was always well kept, kitchen was comfortable, not too noisy! And also, the staff were very nice to come at 2am to check me in. All in all, it was a good enough for the money paid.
1 Pillow each and the pillows were thinner than the bed sheets. Bathroom was very small and windows were a bit revealing. Also the dustbin was never cleared in 5 days. Never saw a member of staff in those 5 days.
the room is clean and comfortable. the price is quite fair. i booked for the same night and it has been a salvation for us
Nice and friendly stuff, very helpful. Use of kitchen.
The Cottage is quite far from the tube station, and it is quite a walk. On the tube it takes some 35-40 mins to the center. We asked for the towels few times to be changed, nothing happened. The size of the room is very modest. The bathroom is something special - very small and the shower above the toilet was quite an initiative. It is practicly a shower with toilet and a small sink in it. All the interior needs a bit of touch as it looks very old and dirty.
I found the place to be very quiet and clean.
Washing machine didn't work but once I told the guy who was looking after the house the fixed it the next day .
Location is poor
This hotel sent me an email after I had paid for the booking, it requested that I email a copy of my passport and the credit card used to make the booking so that a room could be allocated, and that they would also take a copy on arrival to check in . I asked booking. Com to contact the hotel and ask why this was necessary.... No reply was received from the hotel despite requests. I couldn't cancel the booking as it was non refundable. I obviously refused to send my personal details to a strangers email account, the email address was personal not business. My concern is that this was an attempt to obtain my personal details for fraudulent purposes, I use hotels the length and breadth of the UK as I work away from home regularly, I have never had any establishment ask for double paper or electronic copies of my passport or bank card. Be vigilant with your personal data!
This was the best of all the 3 places I stayed. I opted for extension but none was available.
10 minute walk to the underground.
Our 'private bathroom' was basically a small toilet with a shower in it and no curtain or anything to obstruct the view from outside. So we couldn't shower for 4 days. Moldy room, not suitable for people with asthma. If one moved on the mattress it was like an earthquake to the other person. No regulated heating. VERY thin walls. And no fresh towels everyday like promised.
Fire exit door in room that would not shut properly.
The helpfulness and politeness of staff and the room was all clean and the bed was very cosy there was no noise at all
friendly staff, bed was comfortable
small room and bathroom, a little bit dirty cups and window was broken
staff was nice and approachable, room was fine and clean
wifi was weak and the tv didnt work
Nice place to stay
On the day we left know one was there to hand keys to and couldnt contact anyone.
Good sized bedrooms, good clean facilities, really lovely and helpful staff and good location.
How unsound proof the rooms are. Staying on the ground floor by the front door meant the slamming of the doors kept us up. Also other people there were incredibly inconsiderate; between 5-7am on a Sunday morning people were hauling furniture about and shouting in the hall way despite numerous attempts to quieten them!
Cold room, toilet location is terrible.
-noise !! noise and noise!!! wall sshake everytime someone move -staff doing the reception during the night in front of my door instead of doing it in the kitchen - people knock on the door until someone open it for them as there is no reception -staff talking very loudly near your window
