Lovely choice of breakfast and freshly cooked
Good sized room..bathroom a bit tired, but clean. Breakfast was really good
Walls a bit thin if you have noisy neighbours...
Breakfast, nice position and until the wedding party arrived back at 3.30 am - a quiet location.
The shower doors were falling off the tracks. When we arrived there were no lights on in the common areas
Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything very clean.
This room was a little tired.
shower to small bathroom to small towel rad need replacement no privacy to bedroom in day light bedroom looking dated
Close to university; wifi; breakfast
Student style accommodation
It is very close to the University of Birmingham, and very quite at night!
I have required an earlier check-in when I booked the hotel, but I was told I have to check in after 2 o'clock.
Location & Price, Good Breakfast
Very Low Budget
Location with good parking facilities. lovely surroundings and great value!
Warm welcome from staff extremely helpful and courteous. Room us fairly basic but suited my needs. Everything worked great value for money
My only negative comment is that a lilo and what looked like a used quilt was left inside the door to the corridor. A large bin containing soiled towels was also left inside the door to the corridor. Unsightly and a fire hazard concern
Room and great breakfast
Parking. We were unable to park in Lucas house where we were staying and had to park over the road.
Breakfast was great. Room was good size with plenty of storage and clean. Bathroom was clean. Beverage facilities were in the room although we didn't use them including 2 bottles of water and biscuits. Value for money and preferable to Broad St due to location.
Bathroom was outdated. Water was scalding hot which is not good especially if you have children with you as the mixer tap didn't really mix at all and I soon found out why the shower was set at No2! Wifi didn't work, not even in dining room. Walls not very thick, we heard next door come in at 0400 and use his toilet...yes, we could tell it was a man.
Not a lot!
I have to admit I was taken in by the photo's and booked a 4 night stay here. Staying here was terrible. I was kept awake by noisy neighbours, a tower clock over the road that chimed every hour. Central heating pipes making a noise plus a constant sound of a running bath above my bedroom ceiling that only stopped late morning time. Everything looked tired compared to the really nice photo's they use to advertise the place. I was exhausted from lack of sleep by the time I left and was so glad to leave! Never to return!
Bus stop across the road. Easy access to city centre and university. Very quiet, peaceful surroundings. V. Good meals with attentive staff. Lovely warm room.
The bed was fair. A mattress topper would have been an improvement. The shower also was just fair.
Proximity to University as attending Graduation ceremony and parking. Value for money.
Bed sloped to the middle and hairdryer flex didn't reach the mirror!
Excellent value and very convenient for visiting our daghter at the university
5 min walk to University of Birmingham Everything is Excellent except for the view around the hotel (attraction, cafes abd restaurants 10-15 min walk from the hotel)
The shower room drainage was blocked (the water was remaining in the shower basin during taking shower and 10 min after)
Good for central stopover .
Ideal location for the university Clean
It would have been helpful if breakfast could have started earlier
Great value for money, basic standard accomodation, location very good, parking available. Adequate buffet breakfast.
Location was easy to find and good access to birmingham without being in the centre.
It was a cheap room and I guess functional is the best way to describe it. Bit cold, bed not great but you get what you pay for!
Free parking, reasonable price, excellent breakfast. Walking distance to University.
Accomodation can be a bit spread out.
Restaurant/breakfast very good
Room quite cold and bedding a bit sparse
The room is clean but basic and location is quiet. Very good breakfast: traditional English or healthier fare on the buffet. There's a variety of restaurants in Selly Oak, 15 minutes walk away.
