It was well located and central to Cambridge.Within easy walking distance of the venues I needed to visit. The room had a bad odour, stale 'old' smoke and musty. The staff at breakfast told my the cost of cooked breakfast was£14.50.I had paid for bed and breakfast which I assumed meant 'cooked' breakfast. |

Location was good for City Centre. Bed comfortable. Parking was available, at a price - first come first served - there are only a few spaces, but I was able to get one. Room was very dated and in need of freshening up. Windows could do with being secondary glazed - to prevent traffic noise. The bathroom was a very poor standard - mould on ceiling and when we got there no cold water, but this came back on later. |

The reception staff were spot on, very polite, helpful and friendly - an excellent first impression - keep it up ladies! The location is within walking distance of the train station and was close to our destination for the evening (Corn Exchange) which meant not paying out for taxis! The lift! It has an old fashioned lift with metal lattice gates which although quaint, was rather slow. There were a lot of stairs up to our room - I actually collapsed half way up (in a fit of giggles though!). A fantastic place, good atmosphere but that lift is a bit of a pain and as I said oh so many stairs to conquor after our night out on the town! |

Great location if visiting Cambridge! The restaurant had great decor, nice views from our window seat, but the food was not good at all. |

Traditional hotel in a very good location. car parking on site Our bedroom was very dated & drab. handles came off drawers when opened. bathroom sink was so small as to be very impractical.central heating did not work at all. Air conditioning unit which we used to try and heat the room was bulky, unsightly ands noisy |

We booked the special deal including dinner, breakfast and punting; excellent value. The standard of food was very high, both for breakfast and dinner; all freshly cooked and nicely presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. |

The staff were very attentive and welcoming. ANy problem was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Breakfast was excelent. The mattress was too soft and one tended to roll into the middle as it was clearly worn. The heating was too high and the room slightly stuffy. It was not possible to open the window. |

Friendly staff, good restaurant The room was appalling - small, poorly decorated and the bath enamel (!) was chipped. |

Near Cambridge University and other amenities such as Chinese restaurants, and shops. The room lights were not working and we were only offered a change of room on the third day of stay. |

We were given a lovely large room with a 4 poster bed. Great views of the green, Parkers Piece, from our room. |

Small room, needing a facelift. Smell in corridor outside room (304). Bottles and glasses left outside room from previous occupant, and still there when we left. Lifts very slow to respond. |

Staff were good, location is excellent The hotel is very run-down, the restaurant food was very poor, but high prices are charged. Our room, being above a large public room, suffered from loud music during a large party. |

Excellent location. Good shower. First class breakfast. Charming and helpful staff. Older parts of the building attractive. Quaint lift with surreal floor announcements! A bit down at heel - in need of a brush-up (eg scuffed varnish on furniture and skirting boards etc). Room (north side) noisy from plant outside and nearby carpark. |

The service was friendly and upbeat, which was great - although the level of familiarity wouldn't really fit in at a higher end (say 5 star) hotel where more understated service is expected. The bed was also large and comfortable and the linen was fresh. As alluded to in the hotel's own services guide, the hotel is in certain need of a refurbishment. This should be structural, not just cosmetic, and should standardise the size and configuration of the rooms. A minor point was that the door was so difficult to open that it required kicking. A more significant deficiency was the bathroom which was disproportionately small and cramped compared with the large and overfurnished bedroom. |

The ballroom is a delightful place to eat breakfast. The historic Otis lift is fascinating, even if its modern digital floor counter nevr knows which floor it's on. |

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout old meals left outside people's rooms. We arerived at 3pm, and a tray with old food was lying in the passageway, it was still there the next morning despite our telling staff. |

Its location was good. Sufficient parking. The room was very ordinary for the rate and the perception of the hotel. The rooms need to be graded so one does not have hi expectations. We were on our honeymoon, made this known to booking and checkin staff and were very dissapointed. |

The room was well decorated, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The entrance, bar and central area was very grand. The location was very central and was next to a lovely green space. I thought the online booking price was good value. The central location meant that there was a certain amount of traffic noise. Apparently you have to pay to park your car in the hotel, but I came by train. The optional breakfast menu seemed a bit pricey, but as I can't face food before noon it wasn't a problem. |

Good central location. Rooms are of a good size and standard. The reception staff were also very helpful and friendly. We overlooked the park - which was great when we arrived. But quite noisy in the wee small hours as it was a Friday night. |

Doubletree is in the centre of Cambridge, beside the River Cam. There is a Riverside Brasserie and a health club with indoor pool, gym and spa. Some rooms have river views. |
This hotel is beautifully located across the road from the River Cam and Jesus Green, a short walk across the park from the city centre and a wealth of architecture. |
This hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of the city centre, walking distance from Kings College and the many universities, with easy access to Cambridge Business Park. |
In acres of beautiful grounds, Menzies Hotel and Golf Course is just 5 miles (8 km) from Cambridge, on the A14. There is a gym and 2 tennis courts. |
