Building There were massive fans next to our room and room next to us (room number 100). There was loud noise coming from fans until 11. When we complained about it , manager came with a security guard with her and told us they have an in house bar and kitchen and noise will stop after 11. They intimidated us and told us that there is nothing they can do. Will never recommend to any one . I have a video recording of loud noise if some wants , I can send it to you.

Friendly, polite staff. Lovely dining room. Great views across Parker's Piece. Close to town centre, colleges and sights. Comfy bed. The room (110) was a little dated and in need of decoration.

Location.r Reception staff insisting that we had parked a car at the hotel, when we hadn'T. At check-in, we overheard an elderly man asking whether his room was 2-bedded, as he had requested. The receptionist "checked" the system and assured him it was. The following morning, at check out, we heard him saying he had been given one double bed. With this- and their bizarre insistence over our imaginary car, we could only conclude that the systems need a complete overhaul! Also couldn't believe they had notices warning of queues at breakfast. Why not use a second room?? There is plenty of space at the University Arms.

Cionveniently situated We had one of the worst nights sleep. There were groups of rowdy youngsters outside in the park until 3am+ which meant we had a very poor nights sleep.

Beautiful interiors of the breakfast room, foyer and bar. The view of Parker's Piece was delightful. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Paying 16 pounds a day to park in their carpark. They said they were cheaper than anywhere else. We are now in Lincoln and here the car parking is free.

The room (105) good size and public rooms pleasant. The staff polite. We had no sleep all night because of the noise from the fountain inn opposite. The music went on 'till 3 am and shouting in the street 'till 4.15 am. We phoned reception 3 times and the police twice. No one would do anything. Do you think charging up to £180 for this room is good value ? It is not fit for purpose. Reception told us this happens frequently.

The hotel is superbly located right in the centre of the city, couldn't be better. The buffet breakfast was truly wonderful with a great choice of everything and in such a marvellous hall. The chef held a little tasting session in the foyer of food he was seeking opinions on, this was lovely and he was happy to put what we liked on the menu for that night.
