I like the location of the hotel as its in the countryside nice and quite had a peaceful stay
Jus 1 thing really and that was on the drawers next to the bed it was a bit dusty
Staff very helpful
Very busy in lounge when trying to work. Also only one disabled parking space near reception.
The room was okay bedding etc clean but there was a chair which wasn't very clean, the bathroom was a little tired and the shower/bath combo abit grubby
The hotel was appalling from start to finish, I was stuck in room that was right in the top of the building in the eves. It was tiny, the bathroom was mouldy and the carpets looked like they had never seen a Hoover. Needless to say, I check out as quick as I had checked in and found another hotel not far away which was much much better.
Breakfast was good. Internet was fine
Bathroom was dirty.
Staff were friendly
Tired rooms, dinner menu, wi fi, hotel in need of an upgrade.
Everything. The room smelt of damp with black mould on the walls, there was a dirty hand print on the towel on the bed. On a Saturday evening the was a buffet in the restaurant!! We left within 20 mins of arriving and went to a very nice rival hotel.
Main bar area was fine as was breakfast. Wasn't great to see the barman eating between serving customers
Rooms were Butlins like, tired and in need of a refurb. Reception was akin to faulty towers and had to pay extra to use a credit card. Served a purpose and was about 3/4 of the price of the Premier Inn. This is about right.
Window had expanded (wooden) so wouldn't close and draughty at night. Tired decor. In need of updgrade / refresh.
Family members booked direct with hotel and payed £29 I booked with booking.com and paid £39. Disappointed with website and wished I'd booked direct
Great location. Very comfy bed
Bathroom was very tatty with grout missing between tiles with mould in gaps. Room was cold on arrival as heating had been turned off
Free parking Room had everything I needed Great breakfast
Wifi would not work in my room despite there being a router outside in the hall.
Bedrooms and bathroom tired unfortunately
Very poor signage Noisy pathways Bed moved as soon as it was touched
Very clean, spacious room and absolutely fantastic for price paid. Comfortable bed and nice big tv.
Quite a walk from reception to room outside! Pathway was covered but was rather a cold walk!
the bed had a hole in the middle as two single beds were put together, would have been better nights sleep without this
The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent
The cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel bedrooms is truly abysmal. I had to change rooms on arrival from Room 18 (room was filthy) to Room 37 and then the housekeeper spent 15 minutes in this room cleaning the bathroom and still apologized for its condition!!! The paintwork was coming off most of the wood surfaces in the room, including door architraves and desk/bedside table surfaces and there was evidence of substantial damp just inside the bedroom door. I paid £39 for 1 night plus £8.50 for breakfast. This hotel is truly an example of "you get what you pay for". I am taking the matter up with Devere's
Bar area and food were reasonable. Staff in both the bar area and reception were friendly and gave helpful directions and travel advice for the next morning. Location was Ok for High Wycombe rail station - (less than 10mins with good parking)
Room carpet had holes in it. Walls were poor acoustically, you could hear people in the toilet in the next room. Room was in need of decoration, all woodwork was worn and in need of painting, Bathroom was un-clean, clumps of presumably previous occupants hair attached to radiator. Bathroom had an unpleasant smell, to the extent i removed clothes from the hanger rail (the only place to hang clothes) for fear of them absorbing the odour by the next morning
Bed was comfortable
Lack of choice on the menu
Public facilities and grounds are very good; Staff helpful and friendly
Out of the way, Rooms are dated.
Friendly Staff, Main Building very nice. Brilliant powerful shower.
Damp smelling very outdated rooms...
The views were fantastic The bed was very comfortable The room was small, compact and comfortable The staff were very accommodating Free tea and coffee in the room and the bar
arrived quite late and given poor directions to get to our room - which led to us wandering around in the rain!
