The grounds were beautifully maintained and a credit to the hotel. The staff were excellent and the most friendliest of any hotel I have stayed in previously.

The staff were absolutely excellent, I cant empathize enough how great they were to me.The location was just amazing right in the heart of the English countryside. The room was clean and tidy but could do with a complete renovation.

The staff were excellent and we had a great four night stay. The food and drinks were of a high standard and the setting and lay out are great. If anything, the room could have done with a bit of re decorating

The views from our room were wonderful. The breakfast was really good and the bar food good as well. The noise from the wedding was very loud but didn't spoil our stay.

We had a very pleasant stay and ate in the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the coffee and tea facilities that was a very clever idea and well received. The grounds are really lovely and spacious. It was hard to say anything too bad about the hotel. A better knowledge of what is on the menu when staff are taking orders would be helpful. The furnishings are getting a little tired but well worth the rate we had paid.

Very comfortable bed. Quiet environment. Good breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean, a very pleasant short stay. Room 6 no blinds on upper windows, so early morning light. Sound insulation, thin walls and door. Could hear passage and guests talking in the vicinity. Room 8 shower didn't work, one set of towels for my 2 children. Ordered 2 single beds and got one double bed, albeit very comfortable. Went to the bar in the evening and waited to order drinks for 15 minutes. No one was there, so went elsewhere.

Service was great and enjoyed a relaxing dinner with good food. Plenty of parking and because of the spacious layout of the place you don't have that 'confined hotel cooidor' feeling.

Receptionist lovely, when I asked to change rooms ( due to being very light sleeper & my first room bit close to road) she was very helpful & gave me great quiet room. Bed v comfy, so peaceful slept well. Room small but nice decor, warm .Breakfast buffett great when in hurry.. Good selection. Excellant value for £55. Peaceful location & comfy bed, clean , nice helpful staff. Roomservice quick & good selection . Easy parking close to room. Bathroom bit austere & run down. Blinds bit tatty . ( Couldnt work ones above bed) Breakfast coffee awful!! But still good value for £55.

Convenient 24 hrs Parking Would have been a good price if the room had been up to standard. Bedroom ok, adequately furnished with comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and conveniently served. Room 77 in the Coach House Corridor "tatty". Bedside light bulb did not work. Water heating system gurgled and gargled all night. Shower pressure uselessly low Bath seallant "piled on" over mouldy layers. Toilet did flush once you got the knack of upto five quick sequential cranks of the handle Toilet base cracked. Bizarre bathroom layout, mirror over toilet rather than over basin. The Coach House accomodation does not merit the de Vere brand and is misleading. Not recommending (below) because of the condition of the bathroom facilities of Room 77.

Price. Secure car parking. Attentive staff. Long walk to front of house from car park. Signs not helpful as I found a short cut in day light the next day. (Arrived at 10pm) bathroom not pleasant. Looked like a cell bathroom! Flush not working. Was keen to get to the office and shower there!Windows wouldn't close in bedroom or bathroom. Rooms like very low budget Butlins
