it was the gourmet night in the restaurant. We were staying bnb but they managed to fit us in. Food was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
Staff, customer service. Comfort
Staff very friendly. Good food at reasonable price and excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking. Very hospitable hotel on a cold, wet, windy night.
Hot water took a long time to reach us but our room may have been at the end of the line. Just a minor thing - no complaints.
Staff very friendly and food was excellent.
Would have preferred fresh coffee with breakfast
Friendly staff, lovely food and a great all round weekend stay.
The Uplawmoor Hotel is a very nice hotel with adequate rooms. I ordered the Champagne and Strawberries and they were in our room awaiting us. The staff were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant look fantastic and was popular, however on this occasion we had booked a table at another restaurant. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options.
Great to have decent wireless and free in all areas. Very attentive, friendly and professional staff. Excellent home-cooked food - evening meal and breakfast. Good bar with local real ale. Very good overall and highly recommended.
The mattress was not the best I've slept on. Maybe not the newest? Sound proofing between rooms not as good as it could be. But very quiet at night so not really an issue. These were minor quibbles and overall it was great.
Pub just downstairs. Easy parking. Quiet for sleeping. TV channel showing only a photo of sausages.
Booked a double room online; got a twin without explanation other than there being no doubles available. Odd smell in the room. Dodgy plumbing. Someone else's odd sock under the bed. Uncomfortable mattress.
staff were pleasant and location suited us as a stopover.
Hallway to room was tired and musty. Room was small and dark. Note on shower suggested lowering shower head if problem with pressure. We tried this but shower still did not work at all during our stay. On arrival we were asked where we wanted to eat later and we choose the bar. That was a mistake because it was packed, very noisy and we were put at very small table. By then there was no room in the restaurant. Dinner was just ok. My husband had breakfast which was again just ok. I didn't have breakfast because I was sick during the night. I did mention this to the waitress at breakfast but she said it couldn't have been the meal I ate because the fish and prawns were all fresh. We stayed at four hotels during our trip and this was our least favourite and not the cheapest.
Relaxing night stay just what we needed
Good breakfast and lunch, comfortable room and pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff.
Great location, good food, great service.
Very good food; breakfast very good.
Watch out for delay in breakfast if on business & tight on time.
Good location for Birdwatchers. Beautiful room and great food. Friendly staff
It was beautiful would recommend it to friends & family my room was spacious & comfortable .
Breakfast to die for, service, general location
Noise from youths in playpark behind hotel not much security at playpark entrance
Friendly staff - excellent service
Great food, great bed nice staff
Quite pricey hotel for what it is
Friendly staff! !! Good food
Nice friendly public bar and a good selection of meals
A bit out of the way for glasgow
Friendly staff and good food Would return
Sash windows that can be made to stay open ..room1
Very comfortable although the very deep potholes at the car park entrance can be a surprise. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but the continental option was very sparse, no cold meat or cheese, fruit limited. Cooked option was good but one sausage is a little disappointing. Home made bread for toast was excellent.
Night time menu is expensive and not as varied as it used to be. This hotel was known for it's food and attracted many from the district of an evening, now seems to be surviving on reputation alone.
Great food, very friendly staff and very clean & comfortable room- spacious and bright.
We received a warm welcome from the staff and we were taken up to our room location. We needed a bath for my wife due to her balance problem and this was no bother and our room was readily changed to include a large corner bath. Super. All in all a good stay with great food choice and a well presented Scottish breakfast. They even had a welcome help yourself decanter of sherry on arrival.
Nothing that would be worth mentioning.
