It has luxury bedrooms with free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant set within an old chapel. Close to highway M1 and A1, Hotel Van Dyk is easily accessible from Chesterfield and Worksop Bedrooms have an individual style and amazing decorative features including underfloor heating, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes and slippers. Excellent cuisine of AA Rosette standard is served at the Van Dyk's 2 restaurants. The Bowden Restaurant is set in an old chapel and offers fine-dining, and Southgate Grill has tasty signature dishes. Local and organic produce is used whenever possible. Van Dyk Hotel is close to Sherwood Forest. Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle are nearby, as is the crooked spire of Chesterfield Church. Enjoyable food. Friendly, helpful staff. Attractive building well decorated and furnished. Very lively. We would have liked a bigger room. The hotel ran out of tissues!

It was not in a town and had plenty of parking I paid for an executive room which turned out to be small and did not even have a bath. God only knows what the normal rooms must be like

Just a brief one overnight stay en-route homeward. Room very comfortable and would certainly stay again if in the area. Good location for our visit to Bolsolver Castle.

A really nice hotel, with really friendly and attentive staff. Excellent value for money. In London it would cost twice to three times the amount to stay in an equivalent hotel. If I need to stay in the area again I will use this hotel without a 2nd thought. The location is nothing to write home about and there was slight noise at night from the ajoining main road, but otherwise everything about the hotel was excellent.
