A very nice clean hotel with effecient, friendly staff. Can't really comment on anything else as I arrived, went out drinking on the Toon and woke up naked next to a fat girl. But the hotel was nice.

Excellent city centre location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable, excellent food, good facilities and parking. Wi-fi connection was almost useless. Gave up trying in the end.

very good price vs quality deal ( booked special rate not overcheap but competitive with other hotels in town ), nice location, asked for a room with nice view and got it. Very quiet. only minor things otherwise it would have been perfect

The staff were wonderful, and looked after our every whim. The room was extremely clean and comfortable as was all other areas of the hotel. I certainly would use and recommend the hotel should I need to visit Newcastle again. The food was aover the top gourmet fo us and did not have enough substance, I was still hungry when leaving the table which is not something I like to be when dining top class.

Booked the Vermont for the night of work's Christmas party, as it was being held there so was very convenient The hotel feels generally a bit 'tired' and is in need of a bit of a refurb. The drinks and mini bar were very expensive

We have stayed there before. The Vermont has a slightly retro feel to the public room, is an excellent independant 4* hotel which provides an oasis of calm above the liveliness of Newcastle's Quayside nightlife.

It felt very welcoming warm and cosy. My daughter and I booked the trip to do some Christmas shopping. The staff were were helpful and courtious througout. Our car was parked for us - the food was delicious - dinner exceptional for the couples deal. All in all a place to relax in after a days shopping. The rooms seem rather overfurnished. - otherwise no complaints

The room was not up to tech standards. The tv remote did not work properly and the tv was very small and hard to see above the bed.

Growing up in Newcastle I was aware of the Vermont but had never stayed there. I was pretty disappointed at how tatty and dated it was. The Malmaison and the Copthorne have basically surged past it in the Tyneside luxury hotel market. I would encourage management to consider a refurb

Excellent location very close to city centre and quayside. We stayed here not long after it first opened and this is the first time we've been back at least 12+ years later the hotel looks very tired indeed. Very disappointing really as it wasn't a cheap stay.

We were completely taken care of our entire trip. This started upon arrival with an upgrade to a Junior Suite, moving onto opening up the bar during the day to cater for mine and my family needs, with excellent service throughout the weekend. The room was extremely spacious and clean with a particularly comfortable bed. Another very welcome addition was the quiteness through the night. Being from the region and knowing the nightlife in Newcastle this was a unexpected bouns! Hotel was also in a great location for exploring the city and further afield in the North East. I would recommend this hotel above any other in Newcastle for a long weekend or city break.
