The concierge was absolutely fabulous. The room was kind of small, but clean and had everything we needed. It would be nice to have a hot breakfast buffet (i.e. eggs, bacon, sausage). |

The staff were very friendly, helpfull and courteous. The restaurant served quality food that was value for money. The view from the restaurant was also good The bar was un- inviting, did not feel like staying for a second drink |

I found the staff very welcoming particularly the concierge. I had to ring the hotel as I had left something in the room and again the staff were very couteous and helpful. The hotel was central and parking was easy. (the concierge did this for me). I would definitely recommend the Vermont. Well done to all the staff. The room was a bit gloomy and the lighting not very bright. Also, only Only one window opened and only by a few inches. Also, I tried to contact housekeeping to ask for an anti allergy pillow as my husband is allergic to feather pillows, but got no response. Would suggest one pillow be left in the wardrobe to give guests a choice. |

Due to a family reunion we only used the hotel for sleeping and washing! The situation of the hotel was perfect for our 2 day stay in Newcastle and we found it very comfortable. On discovering the mixed nuts and pringles in the room on arrival my immediate thoughts were how welcoming however I then saw the price list and felt rather disappointed! Why not provide the nuts and crisps as complimentary? It would be a really nice gesture in these times of financial hardship!! |

the hotel room seemed quite basic but clean. It is ideally situated for city centre attractions Could have provided more sachets of coffee and tea. Quite stingy and had to ask for some milk, |

Staff were first class. General ambience of bars and reception areas very good. Good location for Newcastle city centre. Room average could do with decoration. Cooked breakfast average at best. |

The staff were excellent and the hotel was perfectly situated right in the centre of town but managing to be in a quiet area. The hotel is slighty dated. |

The Concierges were excellent. The location was excellent. Lovely hotel. Extremely slow service. Staff were few and far between with limited English. On arrival we were missing teacuos in our room which they promised to send up. They never arrived. On our first night we ordered barfood which took about 40 minutes to arrive and was cold when we got it. The next night we ordered Baileys coffees for a nightcap. Another 40 minutes and again cold. Service was not good. |

During our stay we ended up getting stuck in the hotel lift for half an hour and missed our dinner reservations. At the time we were quite distressed about it but did not have time to complain as we were meeting friends. We were not asked about our stay when we checked out and i felt awkward complaining at this point. Also our room was very cold even though the heating was at maximum. |

Convenient location in nice quiet area really close to the center and amenities. Very close to the train station and the river bank. The room was clean but the bed sheets and duvet could have been cleaner. Also the railway runs very close to the hotel and the room we were given in the first place was facing them and was like 8 meters away from it. Overall, good hotel though. |

The hotel was very convenient for the centre and in a nice location with free car parking. I think the hotel is a little tired and with minimum effort could be improved a lot. Reception area is poor |
