A very nice clean hotel with effecient, friendly staff. Can't really comment on anything else as I arrived, went out drinking on the Toon and woke up naked next to a fat girl. But the hotel was nice.

Location is unbeatable. All my business partners are within walking distance. Also for the evening, hotel is right at quay side, Newcastle's nightlife with plenty of very good restaurnant, vibrant nightlife and entertainment. Free parking right outside the hotel is brilliant. The decor is old, dimm, rimm and very tired. Carpet in my room was heavily stained. And the place has seen better days. Undefinable wall paper colour, stained from age. Dimm lightbulbs in corridors and rooms add to the dark and depressing atmosphere. My room had an unpleasant, stale smell from dirty curtains and carpet. Staff in urgent need of customer training. No airconditioning, and windows can only be opened a small strip. Hotel in desperate need of some tlc and a face lift.

The cost of the 2 rooms I booked was very good. There was not a great deal to like, We were told we could get into our rooms at 2.00pm but arrived early so I asked if we could possibly get in earlier and was told no,we were in Newcastle to see a football match Newcastle's last home game of the season, I was told to come back after the football and our rooms would be ready. We arrived back at the hotel at around 5.00pm only to be told there were no rooms ready and could we wait a few minutes whilst this was sorted out.It took around another 45 minutes before we got our rooms. The hotel had not provided a sofa bed as requested when I made my booking although this was remedied,The plumbing in the bathroom was very bad and in fact I repaired a leaking pipe under the sink and also had to plunge the bath because the water was not going away.Overall the hotel is in need of total updating the decor is dated and drab and there were leaks in communal areas of the hotel. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable and there was not enough tea, coffee, milk, or cups in our children's room.

1. Location/Convenience - I was visiting friends in Newcastle and was able to reach all the facilities I wanted without using my car after the journey from home. 2. Parking - I was able to leave the car immediately outside the hotel and had it been necessary hotel staff would have parked it for me. 3. Overall Service - All very calm and efficient and no unnecessary delays.

Excellent location, carpark facilities, Unfussed friendly & efficient staff. Due to shortness of stay was unfortunately able to take advantage of impressive facilities. Especially liked the peaceful noise free environment(Sign of age methinks)

The location is very good indeed. Seems there is only one bar maid in the hotel bar who can mix a cocktail, if she is not on you have to go down to their other bar on the quayside which is not always what you want. Also if you do go to their quayside bar you cannot charge drinks to your room. We had a great night in the hotel bar first night but were felt to look like a nuisance on the second night because of our cocktail request.

Very good location for Newcastle Quayside and City centre. Free parking, superb staff. Room was fair, would definatly stay again on a deal. Awesome bath and shower. Not 4* in my opinion.... very old fashioned and alot of wear and tear in places. Also, 3 pieces of equiptment weren't working in the gym. Would not pay full price for the room if I was to stay again. Breakfast was extortionate! Poor quality of toiletries and no cotton wool or dental floss... things I would expect in a 4*

Location was good, nice area next to the Castle Keep Way way way overpriced for the quality. Fromthe outside it looks like a luxurious hotel but as soon as you step inside you can see how dated it is. The rooms especially need a good refurb.

The staff were wonderful, and looked after our every whim. The room was extremely clean and comfortable as was all other areas of the hotel. I certainly would use and recommend the hotel should I need to visit Newcastle again. The food was aover the top gourmet fo us and did not have enough substance, I was still hungry when leaving the table which is not something I like to be when dining top class.

Booked the Vermont for the night of work's Christmas party, as it was being held there so was very convenient The hotel feels generally a bit 'tired' and is in need of a bit of a refurb. The drinks and mini bar were very expensive
