Good room, it was very comfortable.
The location is central. The rooms are a good size, clean, and with all the amenities. The breakfast was varied, very tasty, and there was plenty of it. The owners and staff are friendly, very helpful, and provided excellent service. We will stay here again.
We had no issues or problems during our stay
Location was great. Staff were very friendly. The room was nicely furnished and clean.
The whole building needs a good lick of paint.
warm welcome the room we stayed in was 5 large and comfortable breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpfull will defenatley stay again when in eastbourne
Staff excellent, location very good, short distance to seafront and town centre only stayed for one night, would recommend and stay again.
We had a lovely time here, the owners and staff give a top quality service in all areas, the breakfast choice was excellent and of a very high quality. I would recommend the Vernon to our friends and would definitely stay here again.
It was comfortable the food was good the owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Could have done with a bit of modernising.
Needed a bit of modernisation
Hotel was very clean and we had a good size room with very comfortable beds.Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice. Nice quiet location only a couple of minutes to seafront or town centre. Parking outside with a permit £1 a day. Will certainly go back again for another visit
The staff were very helpful on arrival and the waitress was really pleasant and genuine at breakfast. Our room was huge. As well as the usual-sized bedroom, it had an extra area where you could sit in very comfortable chairs and watch TV, which made it much more comfortable than a usual hotel room.
My only complaint would be the bed, which was too soft for my liking - or my back. It meant neither of us got the best night's sleep.
Great location, very nice staff and comfortable bed, would recommend and surely return
Cleanliness, food, staff, lovely large room.
Creaky floor in toilet/shower room.
Had a fantastic stay friendly helpful breakfast was gorgeous and hotel was lush can't wait to come back with my tribe
Hotel very good
Mattress was a bit lumpy and too soft
The bedlinen was spotless, absolutely beautiful.
Difficult to find. No-one on desk to check out.
value stop over
The hotel was pretty empty on sunday night. I got room on first floor.Everything woupd be great if there was not a terrible noisy guest on sec. Floor, right up top of me. In fact there was 2 boys who made horrible nois until deep night,, I could not sleep at all. I called guest house but there are not reception for night so i faced horrible night . I really needed sleep and rest becasuses my responible job. If there were reception they might could help.. Also why they could not put those boys aomewhere else,, I did ask for quiet room, but was not sleep all night ..but was pay ful price,,becauses they ask money upfront.
Friendly welcome by owner. £1 a day parking just outside hotel. Large clean well equipped room with modern shower room. Great choice at breakfast. The whole place had a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
The duvet was a bit heavy for this time of year
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and had: a nice comfortable bed (we both got a good nights sleep), a large wardrobe, large chest of drawers, desk, bedside tables (with two clever touch activated lamps on), large flat screen tv, two comfortable chairs and a side table. The room and shower room was very clean. The guesthouse was excellent value for money. We had a full English breakfast included in the price of our booking. The breakfast was very nice. The kitchen staff were happy to make omelettes instead of a full English every day. They also have cereals and yogurts available too. The location was perfect for us, it was a short walk away from the train station and was easy to find. The seafront and pier was an ever shorter walk away and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby too. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would definitely stay at this guesthouse if we visit Eastbourne again. - Andrew and Catherine
Our room was very spacious, clean and well furnished. The location is excellent, very quiet and a short walk to the beach. Definitely stay at the Vernon on our next trip to Eastbourne.
My shower was a bit tricky, hot cold, cold then hot. Never did get the hang of it.
We returned again after last year because the location of this hotel makes it ideal for easy access to both the town centre and the beach front whilst being in a quieter side road. The family who run it are friendly and welcoming and we were delighted to find they had upgraded us to an even more spacious suite with balcony as it was our second stay with them. Breakfasts are freshly cooked and plenty of fruit is available - fresh and the obligatory tinned variety - alongside yoghurts, juice, cereals, toast etc. We would be very happy to stay there again.
Some of the décor is rather dated and on both occasions our room has looked out onto a multi-storey car-park on the other side of the road.
We liked everything about this hotel: comfortable room, helpful staff and good breakfast.
comfortable room very good breakfast
