Cannot say my experience was bad and my rating reflects this but I can see where other reviews have made mention of the exterior and of the reception area. Yes, the outside does need some TLC but bearing in mind its beach front location, you can expect the exterior to wear well. The reception area is a little 'tired' and the glass window to the reception area makes your first impression a little uncomfortable. If my advice was worth anything I would knock it down and make an open plan reception area. However, the friendliness and politeness of the family made this first impression of no consequence after a day or so.
Guesthouse was in an excellent position, 1 minute to beach front and 4/5 minutes to town centre. Had the Luxury Suite Room 7 and it did not disappoint, was extremely clean and had all the facilities you would expect:- complimentary toiletries; tea/ coffee facilities, hairdryer. 2 flat screen TVs, one in bedroom area and one in lounge area with comfortable 2 seater settee, had patio doors leading to a small balcony with seating . Four poster bed (although a tad hard) bedding was clean, white and fresh. Maid service everyday and clean white towels changed daily. Breakfast was very good and they gave you the choice of how much or what you wanted on your plate for the full English. You also had the choice of cereals, fruit and fruit juices. There was a substantial outside patio/garden area that was a pleasant surprise for a guesthouse. It was however in need of a tidy and grass cut during our stay
