Vernon Guesthouse

Joe, the manager was amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly. The breakfast was great and service to the room was exceptional. Would recommend it to everyone.

We liked that we were able to take our little dog with us to the Vernon. Our host was very friendly, he also listened out for our dog while we went out with some friends for a meal.

There was no bar which the internet advert said there was.

Large bedroom ,everything extremely clean. Very friendly helpful family owners. Well situated near sea and walking distance of a large choice of restaurants and shops. Excellent breakfast large choice well cooked and served. We will be back with our dog!! Thank you

enjoyed a lovely weekend...the room was exceptionally clean, spacious and the manager couldnt do enough to make our stay more comfortable. would definately stay here again in the same room!! Breakfast was very clean and decent! great location for sea front and town...some lovely restaurants too!

The accommodation, location, service, food, and most importantly, they are very dog friendly, and were kind enough to look after our dog while we were out at a concert.

Hotel was very clean, as was the bedroom. breakfast was excellent. It looked as if they had recently redecorated, but I think it was just the cleanlyness of the rooms.

I do not mind dogs, but the owners dog was a large and friendly alsation, and it was alowed to walk about in the reception and dinning area. The toilet system they are useing in the hotel has a masarator which was very noisey.

Relaxed and friendly and a very nice breakfast.

We received a very warm welcome from the Proprietor who helped us with our luggage and also getting the car parked. There are very useful car-parking arrangements. The bedroom was commodious, clean and kept at a constant warm temperature. Ensuite facilities were excellent. The lift was of real value. Proximity to shops and promenade was of first importance to us - situation could not be improved. The management is constantly improving the decor and facilities to benefit. The manager takes thought about his guests. Our experience was memorable for all the right reasons and we can heartily recommend this hotel.

The room was exceptionally comfortable and very spacious. The staff were very nice and friendly. The food was exceptionally good and the location is great to walk around the beach or walk into town and/or restaurants.

We didn't find anything that we didn't like about the place.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Vernon , Joe is a very nice front of house / host and really goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable , breakfasts are fantastic also and the Vernon is so handy for the promenade / town centre , all in all I would highly recommend !

A friendly welcome from the owner and attentive staff throughout our (short) stay.

I thought it was great value for money. Room were lovely and clean with great bathroom and beds were really comfy would recommend this to anyone.

Extremely friendly charming owner. Superb breakfasts. Very comfortable room with womderfully comfortable beds.

rooms were small, noisey toilet - hotel looks shabby on entrance, milk was off in room.

Room was tidy and dog friendly.

Although the room had been refurbished, the bathroom door was second hand and did not fit, should be replaced ASAP. The reception was in process of refurb and was not welcoming. Some of the staff did not understand English.

excellent family run hotel . refurbishment nearly complete. the best breakfast i have come across in years of extensive travelling.

the fact that had to leave after short stay. would go back when in area again.
