Easy to find, v warm, everything we needed in the kitchen, lovely view of the tower from the lounge& kitchen/diner. Great location for all main attractions, car park space provided for the length of our stay.
Should not have been advertised as a flat screen tv, it wasn't! We reported the broken DVD player but weren't given an update& wasn't sorted before we left, luckily the kids weren't too bothered! Double bed could of been more comfortable and beware of the bedroom reading lights- got extremely hot so not good for small children in either bedroom. Walls seemed v bare, and furniture was in need of updating but overall worth the money.
We booked the vernon lodge for a long weekend, had a great stay location was good about a 10 min walk into town. Lovely taxi drivers with a fare price. Bathroom was good always hot water kitchen had everything you need.
The biggest downside was that it was freezing the living room area radiator never worked at all. Spent some money on air freshners as it had a damp musky smell to the apartment.
Value for money facilities were excellent I will definitely book this apartment again
The heating wouldn't come on in the living room or bedroom and the smell of musk and damp slightly
location, not far from beach and yards from the promenade. had children aged 3,8,14,16 all loved the apartment it even had some toys. kitchen had everything you need. nice and clean. quiet at night
Location, size of rooms, comfortable furniture - kids loved the living room window seat
Central heating pipes in main bedroom creak and "tick" when on which woke us up early in morning (guess at 07:00) and we were a little short on cutlery - two of us (party of 6) had to eat tea with a spoon instead of fork but only a minor inconvenience!
staff owners location
dated decor damp smell mold on underside of bunk beds skylight in bedroom sunlight floods in really early waking everyone up
Friendly staff Location to all the sights was perfect Good sized accommodation
We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 small children so requested the 2 bedroom 1st floor apartment at The Lodge. When we arrived the owner Lyn was very welcoming and actually took us down to the lodge from the hotel they also own on the same street and took us into the apartment to show us how everything worked. We already knew about the payment meter for the electricity from the website (this is clearly indicated on the website unlike the review i have just read who claims it was not and demanded a refund of £3. I feel embarrassed for them!!!) and came ready with a bag full of £1 coins but it already had £5 left in from the previous people and when we checked when we left we had not even used a full £2's worth. We also forget to bring our buggies with us for when my 5 and 3 year got tired of walking. I was sure that i had read on the website that we could hire buggies from them also. When i asked the owner she was so kind and gave us 2 buggies to use for the duration of our stay for free. That was a life saver!!!! The apartment itself was what you would expect from a 3 star 2 bed apartment. The beds where comfortable, everything worked, very well equiped kitchen with around 30 knives, folks and spoons which was great. We brought our own towels which was not a problem for us but you can hire them if you don't want to carry them. Rooms where a good size especially the bathroom. The apartment looked like it had just been painted and had a lovely laminate floor in the living room, landing and kitchen with carpet in the bedrooms. I have just read a review slating the apartments saying that the wardrobes didn't even have doors on them. Yes that is the case but i think this is how they are meant to be!!!! (I remember seeing an episode of the Hotel Inspector who did a room up with wardrobes just like these with no doors on). For me that was fabulous as my children like nothing more than hiding inside wardrobes and disturbing all the clothes.
Nothing to complain about. Had a fabulous time.
the staff were helpful and very friendly and on hand if needed. The location was great. All of the rooms are a good size. The kitchen well equipped (microwave, toaster, full sized cooker), and all in perfect condition. The bed rooms were large. LOVED IT LOVED IT. I will return and recommend to all.
location was great central to everything.... plus it was not over priced..!!
you did not get everything in your apartment which was stated... no hair dryer... no cleaning supplies... no flat screen tv... no windows in bedroom felt like we could not breath...!!! plus when we arrived I was gutterd the hole place was not clean at all stains on red sofas mucky window dirty and smelly like it had not been clean for weeks abit of air freshener would of been nice.. no doors on any of wardrobes not seen anything like it even my children said they did not want to stay there again
Will definitely go back next time in Blackpool
Nothing not to like
Owner was really polite and welcoming. Perfect self catering accomodation for a group of friends. We'll definitely be back if they'll have us.
Lost in Translation... terrible film
Rooms were sapcious ,owner was very hospitalble ,location was perfect.
Had to bring your own towels and electricity was via a meter
Very, very, very, dirty.
I Liked the location of property.
First thing, they didn't mention anywhere that, they are going to charge us for the electricity. They told us about it,only after we transferred 50GBP as advance money for booking. The owner was rude. When we requested him to waive off 3 pound,we have given for electricity. He straight away told us, that dont come next time.Room heater was not working. Funny thing is that bathroom heater was working.Pretty bad experience..
