Victor Hotel - B&B  

Friendly staff. Good rooms with all basic needs and clean. Wi-fi available throughout the hotel. Nice breakfast. 5 min walk to Victoria Station so the hotel is very well situated.

I loved the location, so close to everything and a short walk from Pimlico Tube Station. Would definitely stay there again, just for the convenience.

The rooms were a little small, with dated bedding, and the staff seemed to get amnesia as soon as I left the hotel, even if I returned 5 minutes later asking for my key, they seemed to have no idea that they had ever seen me before & wanted to know what I wanted and which room I was in.

The location.

Decor - Drab and Shabby - No effort made to remove the scuff marks from the walls leading up to the 8 floors... No Lift - for the elderly, disabled or injured... WiFi doesnt work (at least in the rooms on the 7th and 8th floors. You have to stand outside in the hallways... Pillows - No proper filling. Very thin... Bedside tables/Dressing table - Well passed their sell by date in our room... Requested an early breakfast on first morning as a condition of booking, prior to the Londong Marathon, but the restruant remained closed. Blankets and bed covers to be removed and replaced with quilts. Not enough tables at breakfast. A queue of perhaps 6 people were waiting in a cramped hallway. Not the best start to the day. The faulty cold tap in our bathroom had to be turned on and off at the main supply. It was reported but never picked up before we arrived.

Requirement to use booking debit card was not necessary.

This friendly cheap hotel is reasonably quiet, but near all transport. Sheets and towels clean. Bathroom clean.

Room needed updating/decorating. Perhaps replace the blanket with a quilt. But it was fine for a few nights.

Clean and tidy and very good bathroom facilities. Accessibility on foot to Victoria and Plmlico stations. Excellent duty manager when I arrived and discussed local facilities.

Attitude of another member of staff on duty when I had a problem trying to get into the room after an exhausting day in London. The door lock mechanism was clearly faulty which necessitated three trips up and down three flights of stairs because all the duty manager would do was say impatiently 'just keep on turning it' rather than help. He too when he eventually came to the door couldn't open the door either for a protracted period but did not apologise and tried to insinuate I wasn't unlocking it correctly. On the morning I needed to leave a small piece of luggage for collection in the evening but I was asked to take it myself behind the reception desk. On return to collect it had great difficulty getting the new duty manager to understand anything about it.

it could do with a bit of decorating a bit drabby but it was comfortable and we enjoyed the stay would deffo stay there again and tell others aswell

The staff was very satisfying, they answered every question we had with a smile. The location was very good, near Victoria station. And there were also a 24-hours bus just right outside that took you to trafalgar square.

At the bathroom in the sink there were warm and cold water separately.

no lift.had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with cases. Breakast was very basic,not quite continental.

Location is great.

Small room, that was really cold (we stayed in march 2013), cold wind was blowing under the window! So it wasn´t cosy at all. Really poor breakfast, no ham, no cheese, just tea+toasts.

there is no thing you like in this hotel. depressive as much as you want

the cleanness, very dirty, the colour of some cloth materials have changed because of dirt, the type of blanket may be no of use even in third world countries in poor families. there is no what is so ever excuse for the smell and the bugs you find there,,total disappointment

It was difficult to set the temperature of the water in the shower.

It is close to the center of London. 20 min walk to Westminster Abbey and Parliament.ear center of London. Nunobtrusive service.

The location,how clean it was for a basic B&B and the friendly staff. Cheap and cheerful.

They put a lot of effort into cleaning, but the little details were missed. The first thing that caught my eye were the dirty stained lampshades in the room. they hardly cost anything to replace. oh and the musty smell when we returned to the room.

Great location. I could make the most of my money. Close to a train station and nice little area.

Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were well decorated and the breakfast was good.

Very close to Victoria Station and restaurants/ cafés. Bus stop for number 24 is right outside the hotel Bus 24 takes you via Victoria Station-Trafalgar Square to Camden Town and beyond. Very convinient! Our room didn't face the street, so it was fairly quiet. The guys at the reception were helpful.

Our room was in rather poor condition: the floor boards were extremely creaky (and so were they in our neighbouring rooms...), so you could hardly move without disturbing others. The room looked run-down and urgently needed refurbishment. Everything was dusty, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, so we didn't really feel were comfortable in our room. Breakfast staff wasn't overwhelmingly friendly and the breakfast very basic (what was to be expected). After 2 days we had breakfast in a nearby cafè...Next time we would stay somewhere else.

The desk and wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff kept things in order. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The coffee was the best during our visit. Close to all types of transportation. Many good restaurants nearby.

The room was a bit small, drafty, and noisy but otherwise comfortable.

Great position, 5 minutes to walk for victoria station and the bus station for/from Stansted airport. Great staff and comfortable room for a great price.

Great location Very friendly and helpful front desk - In fact we went back for three additional nights. When we go back to London we will stay there again

Wifi connexion from my room was pretty slow.
