The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Some of the language in the bar was very strong by some of the customers who called in for a drink.
Loved the quirkyness of the old pub and the food was great especially the breakfast!
Good room size so we had plenty of space for the cot bed. The breakfast was lovely, great service at all times too. Good location. Very family friendly, even for a one year old. Lovely weekend all round
Exterior looks nice. Large car park. Nice beer garden
Our room felt like a DIY extension to the main building. Bed was tiny. Room was very warm. Could hear next room noise very clearly. Staff made no impression what so ever. Food was okay, nothing great.
Warm welcome Friendly atmosphere lovely clean comfortable room easy access plenty of parking superb breakfast
Free WIFI, ample parking and very helpful staff
Some noise to be expected in a period property
Food was good, but noisy at night
Bathroom was very narrow, and I had great difficult in getting out
loved the food
situated on the corner of a very busy main route road,we had a room facing the front over the main entrance door.noise constantly from pub users till late, then deliveries on only store opposite starting at 530am not what you want when your on holiday.
Friendly and helpful staff, nice room, comfy bed
The room and food were excellent.
The staff need more customer service training.
Friendly staff a warm welcome and very accommodating. Room clean large bathroom thought it was going to be noisy but it wasn't. Lovely breakfast. Easy to get to places of interest.
There wasn't really nothing we didn't like
Lovely setting with riverside views and nice walks locally
GOOD FOOD, NICE AREA LOVELY ROOM.
WORST BED WE HAVE EVER SLEPT IN.
2nd time to this pub,1st time staying, found the staff very friendly, and very good value, plan on staying again soon.
Location, Staff, Food, Room. All was good
Stayed in the room above the kitchen door which kept banging until food stopped at 9pm. Place a dampener on the door and the stay would have been perfect.
Bedroom was tastefully furnished.Staff were polite and friendly
Noisy footsteps above us in bedroom. Noisy delivery vans very early in the morning followed by noisy traffic. Exceptionally noisy people in restaurant which made our dining experience the worst ever. We didn't stay for breakfast!
Stayed overnight whilst on a motorcycle tour of the area. Pub is very popular and when we arrived it was pretty busy. The staff allowed us to park our bikes in a secure garage overnight which was greatly appreciated. The pub is in a great setting by a stream and the food and breakfast was very good. The room was a good size (classed as a twin) but it was a double bed with a double bed sofa bed which was still comfortable.
Only criticism was the village drunk (an Irish chap) who wouldn't leave us alone and was pretty drunk and highly annoying. His joke was to keep on turning the patio heaters on where we were sat even though it was quite hot out. Mentioned it to the staff and although they didn't do anything about him, they mentioned we weren't the only people to comment.
Excellent breakfast and mature lady staff member was exceptionally helpful. Let us take our dog at last minute which we appreciated. This lady made a difference otherwise we would be giving a different review.
With exception of young man on Sunday morning the younger staff were rude and unhelpful. Noise at night until 11.30pm was awful..Need to do something about banging doors in kitchen/downstairs!!! Didn't appreciate rude approach from young staff member re our dog, we were on our way to our room! Staff need to be trained! Also ignored re breakfast request on Sunday until I complained to young man. Bathroom has mould on ceiling and dirty radiator. Needs to be revamped. Not a relaxing break due to lack of sleep
Loved the whole place, would look to stay again next year.
It was noisy, but hey ho. I booked a pub, can't complain.
The children's play area allowing the freedom to chat and enjoy a drink, and to sit outside under the heaters if chilly whilst keeping watch on them.
Found nothing to dislike.
Noise from road
Location was good as was the good and the garden
The valance sheet on the bed was dirty and you could see mud and dirt on the bottom of it. There was also a pubic hair on the shower floor upon arrival.
Friendly staff, lovely food ideal position for travelling to Harlech and Barmouth. Great play area for children.
Bed was too hard which meant for an uncomfortable night.
Large Car Park Quiet Room
Bar areas VERY low class Breakfast not generally available before 8.30am No dedicated reception area, you have to queue up at the bar!
