the landlord very friendly.
Breakfast not very good.
Staff and breakfast very good.
Car parking could be an issue, depending on time of day arriving and time of year.
the location, the quality of the breakfast.
could have done with a change of towels although saying that I should have asked for clean .
friendly greeting and excellent hotel location close to Shanklin old village/beach. very clean hotel and good breakfast.
the hotel/room deco is 'tired' and 'outdated'. basic shower in room -
The staff were very friendly The bed was comfortable The breakfast was good
The room and en-suite were very small The hotel atmosphere was more suited to very mature/retired couples The wi-fi was intermitent
Really friendly and helpful staff helped create a great atmosphere for our trip
The staff were excellent, the breakfast delicious and the location on the edge of the old village and near the town centre most convenient. We will return and I highly recommend this hotel.
bathroom needs updating
Good location!!3mins to high street 10 mins to beautiful beach!!!
The friendliness and attentiveness of the the Host Peter and his staff. The location was ideal for walking to the local restaurants and also in the other direction to the beach, easily accessible for all including the less mobile, through the provision of a lift directly to the Shanklin Esplanade.
Food was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Near to town centre and Sea front. Parking was Free!!!
Bedroom and Bathroom was a bit small
Friendly staff Well presented breakfast, adequate portions
Serving time for breakfast rather limited
Thought it a friendly, well run hotel. Ideal for our purpose.
Can't think of anything.
Very friendly knowledgeable staff, always happy to assist.
The owners of the hotel are welcoming and there to help with all of your needs. On the last day were even willing to take us to the train, very kind. The breakfast meals were delicious. Our room had a lovely view of the sea and windows could be opened to enjoy the sea air. The location is very central to all of the attractions of Shanklin and other parts of the Isle of Wight. Close to the train and buses. We highly recommend this hotel to other travelers and give them an A+ rating. A saying in the hotel lobby is true, "You enter as strangers and leave as friends."
We would have loved to have stayed longer.
House very warm and wellcoming.
Breakfast let it down, not much choise and full english wasent a full english,if breakfasts had been nice would have stayed again
Location of the hotel meant we had a good base to explore the island
peace quiet tranquil. close to beach and some activities...
the shower too small
I like the friendly environment, hostess, location, appearance of the hotel, parking on site, breakfast service.
I did not like en suit. It was tiny, old comod, no electric shower, less frequent hot water in the mornings, heating was not on early in the mornings, small TV, room cleaning service was not ok, no washed towel everyday. The hot water jug was old, not clean.
Stuff really nice warm and help us lots . If I have chance, I will back again
Staff attitude, facilities, location, local information, cleanliness. Special request for a single room, co-located with double room catered for without fuss. Nothing too much trouble.
Peter and the rest of the staff were very friendly, helpfull and willing. Our room was cold to start with and he gave us a fire and offered to move us, if we wished. We would be happy to stay there again. The breakfasts were very tasty!
Very clean throughout, staff efficient & friendly, appetizing breakfast. Good view of the sea from the lounge.
