The staff were friendly and helpful
The carpets were tatty and stained
The staff and facilities were great. Pool, beauty therapists, staff in general couldn't have been nicer and kinder. I really felt at home. Superb value.
The matress guard under my sheet kept rucking up, and the pillows were like planks - sorry. I went to Sainsbury's and bought my own.
Really good value for money breakfast.Swimming pool was good.
Steam room wasn't very clean tiles really dirty
Excellent location, staff whwre really friendly. We will definitely stay here again!
Veiw Room size Pool and Gym Staff Just an all round good hotel and we will go back.
Car park was a little small
Staff were friendly and polite. The room was very large, but unfortunately we didn't have a very good view being at the front of the hotel, but we didn't pay very much for it and therefore it was good. The spa, pool and food were also very good.
There wasn't anywhere we could hang up or wash our clothes from coming out of the pool so used the bath tub instead and many of the blinds in our room were dirty or broken.
Everything but particularly the friendly, efficient staff. We asked to change rooms for one with a bath and this was granted without any hesitation. We would stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others.
Nothing, we couldn't have had better treatment.
All the Staff are incredibly considerate and helpful, very friendly.
Rooms are dated, and the one lift is slow and small.
Room fantastic Location Ideal Facilities Great Sea View
Breakfast was OK Carpet on stairs warn Pay to park
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the hotel . Staff very friendly and lovely sea view . Very clean and comfortable and would recommend to anyone . Would visit again definitely .
Just would have liked a bit more fruit variety at breakfast and had to order fried eggs to go with breakfast. although they were freshly cooked it was not always easy to get all the cooked breakfast together but only a small problem . Would not let it spoil our stay .
Rooms a bit old-style traditional, but acceptable enough. Beautiful views of the bay and waiting staff at breakfast very friendly and helpful. Receptionist very helpful. Cleaning staff hard at work in the mornings, though smell of polish a little overwhelming. Would think about using again, as right on 'high street'.
Car park was dreadful - full of potholes and uneven. Not happy about having to pay to park on top of paying to stay in the room, but expected the carpark to be decent. Blue badge holder with us and no blue badge spaces. Our friend fell down one of the potholes.
Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. Sea view bedroom was very large and quiet. The staff working at breakfast were all very friendly and the views looking out to sea were amazing. The hotel itself was architecturally pleasing with a gorgeous, spacious staircase.
Parking charge is £5 per night with parking either side of the hotel. Hotel guests had to wait most mornings for the breakfast buffet to be replenished.
Very central and friendly helpful staff. Plenty of tea and coffee for making a drink in the room. Cosy.
There was nothing to dislike. The public areas are looking a little tired but everywhere was clean so not really a complaint. The extra payment for parking could be an issue for some but we accepted that this is the hotel policy.
Staff always had a smile and wanted to help. Hotel old, but beautiful. Lovely room with sea view. Good value. In the heart of town.
the whole experience of the hotel was very good.
noisy plumbing. You could always hear the water running away when the bedroom above used their bathroom.
hotel near all beaches and facilitys central for all things
car park can get very full and costs £15 for 5 days or £5 day not shure in busy times if you could get a space you might have to park somwhere else and pay again.
location was excellent, breakfast fantastic, staff couldn't have been more helpful
Very good value hotel for a couple of nights
Front elevation room so traffic noise from main road was a problem.Bar area was being used by a college for exams so was unavailable for guests.Lack of reliable wifi
Excellent breakfast and comfy bed
Nice room at a very reasonable price in what appears to be a top hotel
i felt i was in downtown abbey,a beautiful staircase greeted us and huge chandeliers from the ceiling, lovely seaviews from the breakfast room, smashing breakfast, loads, and a lovely swimming pool,i thought it was wonderful, cant wait to go back
no comfy place to sit in room and only a single plug with extention wire off it,but not there long enough to matter
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We had an evening meal in the hotel which was superb. The staff there went 'the extra mile' to make us feel special.I used the pool which was a comfortable temperature and the jacuzzi was very relaxing.
Friendliness of staff Comfortable rooms Good food
Had to pay to park (max £15) Waiters seemed untrained/in experienced
location. We were near to everything.
Bar prices over the top we did not eat there because the prices were unrealistic. over £12 for breakfast. Over the road anywhere a fiver.
Had a really lovely time at the Victoria. Cannot wait to be back there end of January.
The only thing I didn't like was whilst checking out a miserable old brummie gent was being vile towards the excellent staff.
