everything, only there for two days really enjoyed my stay.
did'nt see anything to dislike while i was there.
Facilities were excellant aswel as the breakfast.
Our bins were not emptied when we arrived so had rubbish from the previous people staying there in. We rung reception who said they would send someone up to empty them but nobody ever came.
Staff were very helpful. The views from the gardens are wonderful. The tariff we received was good value. Parking was easy. Would certainly go back.
Lack of fresh fruit at breakfast...(small point)
Hotel was overall pretty good, receptionist on arrival at 10:30pm was very good and very helpful. Bed was very comfortable and room was very spacious. Location for shops, restaurants and pubs was excellent.
Staff at breakfast in the morning, mmmm what can I say, not as happy or accommodating as I would of expected from such a hotel, I felt quite let down to be honest, no mention of what was on offer, no menu at the table, table cloth was dirty, bowls from our cereals weren't cleared away, before my wife had chance to finish her cereals the waiter brought the next course to the table so my wife had to leave the remainder of her cereals and push the bowl to 1 side to allow for her next course. After finishing the second course we had to pile the plates and bowls up to make room for us to have our toast and all this on a table for 2. This was 2 mornings on the trot :-( O/A management really need to address unhappy staff or employ people who can smile in the mornings and actually look like they want to be there.
Attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast first class.
Person in adjacent room had television on all night though this was not the fault of the hotel
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, both breakfast and evening meal, comfortable and welcoming foyer
Nothing major - room was quite small, TV rather old (analogue)
The building is of Victorian architecture with a grand entrance and stair case. The rooms have high ceilings with large windows and lovely plaster mouldings. You have use of the leisure facilities
Having to pay for the car park which is attached to the Hotel.
The location is amazing, close to the sea, restaurants, pubs, train station, shops.
the old victotia fashion of the hotel
the bathroom was dated
excellent customer service nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. best breakfast anyway we have stayed and good value for money
can be a bit noisy in the summer but an excellent quiet place in the winter months
No Wi-Fi in rooms Breakfast served 0730 in weekdays and 0800 in weekends Few waiters to serve breakfast - meant that it took ages to get food/coffee/tea. Gym old and small, only with few appliances. Not free parking (15£ for 15 days)
The hotel is in a good location and is a lovely, old, traditional hotel. Room comfortable but in need of updating and bathroom clean but not very inviting. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I loved my room, it was large, airy and very comfortable. I had booked in advance. The service at breakfast was second to none, politely friendly. The breakfast was fresh and hot. Perfect location for shops and getting about. I love the older style hotel that exudes character and charm. Where all rooms are different and not battery hen boxes. Will be stating again.
Carparking a little tight until I discovered the additional parking. £5.00 charged, reasonable if staying put.
Nice hotel great location
Breakfast is slow
good staff. inviting, comfortable, homely hotel
there was 1 part of the blinds missing in the room which is unacceptable. as simple things should be to some standard. my normal reaction would be to complain, and end up bringing down the weekend with a bad start. lot of other things to complain about. but we made the best of it. as we came away to enjoy yourself. and to start complaining to staff who do a good job..... when clearly the problem was lack of funding. an M.D problem.
great location,friendly staff,swimming pool,room view
loved the hotel and location
the bed was very hard and uncomfortbly and i thought your drinks were a bit expensive ,
I like the Atmosphere and friendly staff. I treated like a home . Hotel looks amazing very ancient which is always one of my thing. I read it started building in 1890. OMG I just love it
Only WiFi that We Can't use WiFi in the Room which is very annoying As people like to watch movies and serial on laptop or I-pad in bed. Apart from this everything is awesome Thank you
Awesome location, staff friendly and helpful, staff responded attentively when fellow guest had telly on loud at night, beautiful seaview from breakfast room, was upgraded to seaview at no extra cost, lovely swimming pool/jacuzzi, hotel was immaculate.
Apart from the mushrooms (which tasted lovely), all other breakfast items tasted bland and indistinguishable from each other, cleaner started hovering corridor near breakfast room midway through breakfast!
The elegance of the hotel. A victorian style hotel built in the 1800s with all the character and atmosphere of a high society hotel of that era. The staff was helpful and accommodating in our needs.
The breakfast was a hot traditional british breakfast but the breakfast hours didn't start until 7:30 daily and 8:00 on weekends which made it too late for people using the hotel for business meetings. The staff would make coffee and toast available earlier on request but it was not the same as a full breakfast menu.
car parking freeses
View from dining room Comfy beds Cosy room Lovely reception staff Nice bacon
Paint smell in bedroom Cheap cereal Cheap dry bread at breakfast
There was Wifi hotspot only in the lobby area. I couldn't access internet in my room.
Beautiful building, very convenient being in the centre of town and so close to beaches. Staff were excellent and our room was very comfortable.
