ARRIVED EARLY,ASKED TO LEAVE CAR IN CAR PARK AND SPENT FOUR EXTRA HRS IN OXFORD
Breakfast and the gentleman that served us was fine.
Room 16 - Ground floor room with no handle on the window!! The only way to close the window was do go outside and press it closed but you could not lock it or secure it. The room was next to the entrance and reception and was very, very noisy.
helpful staff,good value,spotless clean
good size room plenty of seats comfy bed.
I wanted to arrive after midnight and they were very helpful ensuring a key and instructions were available for me. Nice room, nice breakfast and helpful staff
Cars are parked just outside the window so early starts woke me up.
especially the full English breakfasts and a very friendly atmosphere.
needs a little updating in certain areas but this is in hand.
Excellent breakfast Friendly staff Free parking as Oxford is difficult to find parking
Frumpy decor Thin walls, you could hear people in the next room Holes in the towels
location and friendly staff
The staff was super kind and gave us valuble info about the town and transportation. Warm welcome and really nice English breakfast for free!
Good location, 10 minutes walk from city centre. Good parking facilities. Lovely staff and great breakfast
Noisy people downstairs
Nice firm bed, Clean room Location was within reasonable walking distance to town Nice breakfast
Expensive for what you get Quite basic hotel and more like a B&B
Don't normally sleep well in hotel rooms but had really good nights sleep as the bed was very comfy & nice crisp, clean sheets. Although next to a main road there is no traffic noise which is nice. Breakfast was efficient, hot & tasty. Parking good & safe. Free WiFi a bonus.
Shower gel impossible to open with wet hands, had brought our own so not a problem. Sausages could be higher quality but having said that we all enjoyed breakfast.
Location, facilities, friendly staff
breakfast was ok, but not excellent. very small portion
Breakfast was very good. Staff were great. Location was ok.
Bed uncomfortable. Shower had no pressure.
The bus stopped right in front of the hotel and the town centre was only a few minutes away. The breakfast was great with a choice of 4 cooked meals, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice. The staff were very helpfull.
The shower room needed updating and the water pressure was very poor.
We liked where the hotel was situated
Only that the bar was not opened when we came back after an evening stroll, it would of been nice
10 min walk or short bus ride to centre so perfect location. We had a room at the back so was quiet. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Rooms were basic, clean and comfortable.
The food was very good
Quick check in, sorting a taxi into town and given a key to let ourselves back in at silly o'clock. The breakfast was very welcome the next day too.
Only one very minor niggle, could have done with another pillow but as it was for one night not worth a mention really.
The quietness of the hotel (I had a back room). But the clientele were quiet and civilised too. Well-furnished room, with windows that open, and radiators that work. An imaginative and generous breakfast, with waffles, brioches, fresh fruit salad, etc -- which most hotels of this type don't bother with. As hotels in central Oxford are now simply unaffordable, this is perfect, because it is just 15mins walk to the centre, or three minutes on the bus.
The unmanned reception, and slightly brusque, penny-plain welcome, when I rang the bell.
Loved the 'Dad' figure in the dining room - so sweet and friendly. Good sized room and bathroom. Warm and comfy. Wifi excellent. Location very convenient.
Nothing. Nicest B and B we have stayed in.
Breakfast was good. The elderly gentleman was a gem.
Bed hard and uncomfortable. Shower pressure terrible, room a bit musty smelling. Threat of being fined if you do any washing in your room and also if you smoke in the room yet the whole house smelt like stale smoke.
Great staff, lovely breakfast, good spacious twin room
limited break fast. bath water was only warm
Very comfortable, good location.
Vegetarian sausages were promised for breakfast but not available when required.
