The only thing I liked about the victoria park was its location The staff couldn't find our booking, we had to change rooms as it was very cold / wind howling through the closed windows..rooms were dirty, hotel was very dark (probably to hide dirt).. Staff were aproatchable but didn't seem to know anything

It was very convenient for our purpose that weekend. Breakfast good. Clean room. Price good. When we first arrived no one about to check us in and had to wait a while. Person who checked us in not very friendly and did not show us to our room or tell us about meal times and location of dining room, bar etc. Room very small but having said that had all you would require for a night or two. Feel it is a bit jaded in parts.

The hotel is small and the staff are very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for Morag. Our friends and us were there, sadly, for a funeral tea and we stayed the night before the funeral.

Mixed experience staying here. Friendly staff, great breakfast and good location for access to the city. On main road so noisy especially with windows open on a hot evening. No hot water first evening which was then sorted for rest of the stay.

Free parking either on the side road adjacent or at the rear of the hotel. We had a large room at the front of the hotel and although the traffic noise was prevalent it didn't bother us, in fact probably helped as we didn't over sleep in the mornings. Breakfast was good and staff were helpfull even organising some breakfast for us for an early start for one of the trips that can pick up from outside the hotel. Buses run into Edinburgh just along from the hotel, walking takes a alot longer so take the bus. Evening meal was good. Would stay their again

The staff were nice. We booked a twin room and had email confirmation of this. However, when we arrived it was a small double room. We had decided to stay there only because we thought it was a twin room as we had a cheaper and nicer double room available in the city centre so were not that happy. The price was high during the festival for the quality of the accommodation. The tap was broken in the room and the shower door was not fixed on properly. If you are looking for somewhere to stay during the festival things like Edinburgh university accommodation is actually more comfortable, cheaper and more central. If you book this hotel ring up as the type of booking e.g. twin or double doesn't come up for the hotel if you book through a different website.

I liked the location with regards to it not being too far from the centre of town, and the staff were friendly. There was too much traffic noise, and the price of the room was too expensive wuith regards to what was on offer.

Hotel room was large and was offered room with either jacuzzi bath or shower, we opted for the one with jacuzzi bath although the jacuzzi didnt work!! Comfortable stay. No one was readily available at reception when arrived I had to ask bar staff to get sumone as bell didnt work at reception. We were not advised of times of breakfast so therefor missed breakfast in the morning so for the amount we payed this was very steep considering.

the hotel was very nice. clean and friendly staff with a good breakfast in the morning. only a 15 minute ride away from the centre of town its situated in a good spot. would definately return. for the rate paid this hotel is excellent. booked a double room but was a twin when we arrived. took a while to have the beds put together and had a drink in bar while we waited a second time. maybe think i should have got the drinks on the house because it was their fault. do not let this change your mind on the hotel as it excellent for the rate paid.
