Very clean place, best for people with car, but good communications to London by train, too. Quiet road to sleep well.

The steeple stairs have already been mentioned, but that's all.

Spacey place for 5 adults. Easy access to M-roads via Maistone. Excellent TV set and WIFI Shop open 6 am - 11 pm with plenty of choice and good price withing 3 minutes of walking.

Sittingbourne itself is not a very interesting place. Curtains are too thin and let all light inside the rooms in the morning.

There was a brand new trampoline in the backyard, which was a lovely surprise for the kids. The house is generously sized compared to most UK duplexes, so it was nice to have the space for the family to spread out (greatly appreciated after sharing small hotel rooms elsewhere during our holiday). The house is on a quiet street and only a 5 minute walk to a small supermarket (Tescos) and less than a 10 minute walk to the Sittingbourne train station. In addition to cooking utensils the kitchen had several condiments (salt, sugar etc) in the cupboards already. WiFi instructions were clear and the signal was strong throughout the house. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful when we had to telephone him about a minor issue.

The stairs to the top floor are very steep and would be challenging for someone with a bad knee or hip. It would be useful to have basic instructions for the house heating, oven and washing machine - as we are not from the UK and it took us a while to work these out (although the owner was easy to reach by phone and happy to help).

The total stay was fantastic and offered everything we needed. It was very clean and had ample room for 2 adults and 4 young children. The landlord was also extremely helpful. I would definelty recommend this place to others and hope to use it again on the near future.

The house was on a quiet road, but within walking distance from the centre of Sittingbourne, there was also plenty of parking spaces outside the property. It was spacious, exceptionally clean and was extremely well equipped. It was perfect for us and much better than staying in a hotel. A perfect base to explore Kent.
