Me and my partner came here and stayed for 2 nights. The first night it was raining but there was so much to do in the hotel that we never got bored. We wish we'd stayed a extra day. The spa facilities were amazing, the arcade was amazing and the food was superb!! We got a apartment and it was lush. If you needed anything it wasn't a problem. The staff are so friendly. We are booking in again to come here soon. Absolutely loved it!!
Gail kept our room serviced and kept us supplied with tea and coffee. Asia our waitress for the week had a lovely personality and was very professional, a credit to the hotel.
Our stay was too short. We will be booking again.
Lots to do, our 7 year old went to gymnastics and cheerleading classes. The pool is great and most of the entertainment is to a really high standard. Tom, in the entertainment team is amazing with the children and very funny.
One of the cabaret acts was poor, so we left early. Bit of a 70s throwback singer/'comedian' which felt quite out of place and below par compared to the other nights.
You have everything at your fingertips, good food, liesure facilities, there is something for all ages, especially if the weather is, nt very good.
Having to come home.
Staff very helpful and courteous.
Was very hot in room, even with heating turned off and window open! Base sheet covered some sort of plastic that was lumpy and rolled up when we lay on it. Bathroom was smelly although clean.
We stayed 1 night we our 2 little ones and really had a brilliant night. We hope to book some more nights there in the future. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Nice place to stay. I recommend it. Good breakfast and nice staff
The cleaning workers rushed me in the morning to get the room ready.
Parking is joke. Massive hotel with very limited parking
Hot plates for hot meals
No petty restrictions Knowledgeable staff Great food Extended sensible breakfast times
Size of bath towels (to small) No coasters for cups glasses
Pool and all leisure facilities excellent. Room spotless and well maintained. Breakfast really good. Staff very helpful
some corridors to rooms look a bit tired
Old & tired facilities in our apartment
The breakfast team and the breakfast its self was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I booked a single room for my mum and she was upgraded to a twin which she was very happy with.
Nothing Evan the weather was great . No complaints.
Absolutely everything, the location was excellent, next to Riviera Conference Centre, the receptionist gave me an upgrade to help me get the room which was nearest to the hallway taking in front of the conference centre entrance. Loved it to the max!
I loved everything absolutely!
Great staff, welcoming, very helpful and attentive. Great breakfast every morning!
Room was too hot, had to open all windows then the noise from outside (clubs etc..) kept us awake. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. However not to take anything away from a nice stay
On arrival we went to our room, the room itself was on the ground floor, entering the room it was dark, dirty, very tired. We paid over £100 plus per night and the bathroom did not have a basin it was located near the wardrobe in the bedroom. The bathroom itself could not fit more than one person in it standing sideways on and the view if you can call it that was rusty iron fire escape steps . It was for the money one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The staff did move us to a twin bed room on the third floor which was more like the pictures on the web however even this was basic and not very clean. Having driven 200 miles it was the only option to stay. In my opinion look around there are alot of nicer hotels in the area.
The facilities at the hotel are excellent. The receptionist was helpful in booking us in early and advising on parking. The apartment itself although basic had all that was required and was spacious and clean.
Although there was secure access to the apartment block the fire door being left ajar negated this. House keeping arriving at 9.30 am on departure day was a little premature although they did readily agree to come back later.
Love the swimming pool Love the food Love the range of activities to do (even when it rained every day)
Beds a bit hard for me and when your partner turns over you feel it across the whole bed. Some silly slip ups in the restaurant-when you pre-order your wine you expect it to be opened when you get your food (this happened twice in four nights) Two staff in the games room who didn't really give a damn (only on one night). Two different ones the next day who were much better. Queues in the Bistro to order food.
friendly staff, walking distance to amenities.great breakfast.
hotel requires up-dating.
The on site facilities were very good. Excellent position 5 mins walk to seafront. Good parking facilities.
Bathroom in need of updating.
facilities ,food were excellent as was the location
the bed was too hard as was the pillow. Only one provided . Usually best to have one foam and one feather then a person can choose.
We enjoyed the Facilities and breakfast was excellent!
Sorry to complain ! not really my style but.. when I arrived with my 3 daughters for our girlie get together I was told by rec that I had only booked for two adults! two double rooms! what I had actually booked was two twin rooms and for 4 adults! I was told there would be extra money to pay on top of the £568.00 that I had been quoted and had accepted! I told the receptionist that I was not happy to pay more as I had a quote for £142.00 each for b&b.She then said she would call the manager and on the phone he said we did not have to pay more I then asked if they were twin rooms as we had booked and was told no and that's all she had!so we had to sleep in double beds and obviously couldn't sleep as not used to sharing beds. To add to this there was no room in any of the car parks so had to park half a mile away and carry our luggage in pouring rain!! also I did not know the area and didn't really know where I had left the car!! I am 70 yrs old and did not need this hassle! it gave us a really bad start and we only had 4 days! Hairdryer did not work in one of the rooms and we were told twice to press a button which did not help! Really did spoil the few days we had planned so no not really happy!!
very friendly and helpful staff
probably not for a business traveller :-)
The food was excellent we were spoilt by the lovely waiters who pampered us. as were the rest of the staff and the swimming pool was great as wad the sauna and the bars. The hotel decor in general was ok but could do with a bit of cheering up.
The room we had was definitely not worth £188.00 for 2 nights, the bed was uncomftable and the windows rattled the room was really hot and all night there was noise. Parking was almost impossible as the car parks are shared by 4 hotels so once we found the only space available we darn't move the car to explore Torquay.
