cleanliness was poor
Good price-Very convenient location- very nice breakfast.
I suspect that at one time this Victorian House had been quite "Grand" but the decor has been allowed to become a little shabby. Nevertheless, considering the price you pay as well as the location, I think it would be unfair to judge this too harshly.
The room was spacious and perfect for our 2 night stay. Although we were on the ground floor the noise from outside was not a problem. The breakfast was first class and we could not find a fault. The reception staff were polite and welcoming.
Excellent value for money with efficient and friendly staff.
The hotel is loccated at the top of a very steep hill.
Unlimited heat and hot water (had the most lovely bath) Room cleaned/serviced every day Room very comfortable Wooden floor
Cooking fat smell in dining room (my daughter asks, what did I expect!?) Not enough coat hangers Wi-Fi non existent in our room
Left alone in a friendly business like manner but an underlying concern for my well being.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great breakfasts too.
Helpfulness of reception staff who tried to please but didn't appear to understand what was being asked. The gentleman on the second night 6th December, was particularly helpful. Location was good for museums and central Glasgow.
A board in breakfast room with smoked haddock and kippers on it but the girl supervising didn't appear to know what they were never mind being able to serve them. Poor choice of breakfast. Wet shower towel taken away but but not replaced for second night. No milk for second night. Generally the staff appeared to be under trained.
This was my second visit and I will return next year for my annual pantomime trip - it is a great base. I asked for, and got, a ground floor room. Staff all friendly. Good basic breakfast. I was offered help to get my case down the steps when I left.
Very minor niggles - twice my tea tray was not topped up and once bed not made nor bin emptied.
Friendliness of everyone. Taxis very good for getting around.
Really difficult to find somewhere to eat with a child and not have fast food of an evening.
Location and price
Very close to tthe centre, clean and comfortable.variable breakfast
My credit card was unaccepted.
Excellent value and cheerie staff.
Stairway carpets were threadbare and stained
The hotel was excellently placed, the staff were all pleasant and the room was lovely. Strongly recommend the breakfast and if I return to Glasgow I will certainly be staying here again.
Perfect location good food nice clean room nice white towels parking on street okay
Good value for money. Really nice location. Just off from busy Sauchiehall Street, so not too far away from restaurants, shops etc. but still quiet hotel. Clean rooms.
A bit worn out hotel and quite short beds.
sparkling clean bathroom, clean wooden floor, extremely clean beddings and curtains. Great and nourishing breakfast.
the room was clean, bed was comfortable, I enjoyed the breakfast, the staff were very helpful
my room was on the stairway so was a bit noisy with people walking by at night
Location, good shower and breakfast
Smoke smell in room (basement room)
Location, friendly welcome, breakfast, comfortable bed.
If you have difficulty with stairs don't book a stay here.
Everyting about the hotel.
Brecfast finished too early.
very nice room, have never had so comfortable bed before, good choice of breakfast pěkný pokoj, VELMI pohodlná postel, dobrý výběr na snídani
very dirty stairs carpenter (rather old and tired than dirty), starts very steep and strait, no elevator (not mentioned on booking nor the hotel webpages!), underroof windows-opposite flats can see inside I bet! Everything from neighbor rooms can be heared! Odporně zašlý otrhaný koberec na neuvěřitelně příkrých a úzkých schodech, bez výtahu (nikde není zmínka),do podkrovních pokojů je určitě vidět z protějších bytů. V posledním patře (podkroví) zápach čistících prostředků nebo zastaralých koberců, cosi neurčitého. Od sousedů je slyšet každé kýchnutí.
Breakfast was tasty but disappointed they did not have smoked kippers as advertised.
Walls were marked, bathroom outdated could do with a good refurbishment. No bell to ring on arrival at reception so waited a bit for gentleman to come and assist.
