I selected this hotel as it was in close proximity of my business meeting. Apart from that, the staff are quite friendly. I was promised free wi-fi when I had booked my stay at the hotel. But upon arrival, I was told wi-fi is available only in the ground floow of the hotel. I was a bit disappointed with that!

THE staff alolowed me to take a shower on the morning of check in. THE breakfast was pentiful and really good value at just 3.50. Electrical things broken in my room: neither ceiling light nor shaver point worked (so I could not use my electric toothbrush...) serving staff insisted on clearing my table (my 3 companions finished eating before I did and left the table) whilst I was in the middle of eating breakfast. I asked them to wait until I had finished eating but they refused. The bedrooms were a bit on the chilly side. Huge windows but relatively small/poorly positioned radiators

Handy, not too expensive you have to be fit - climbing steep stairs and no help with heavy cases (they told me 'no porterage') but common decency would be to help someone, you would think. Also the atmosphere was mostly clinical - no one smiles much there. I wonder why they put older people on the second floor every time (I stayed there 3 times in two weeks) The wifi on the second floor was non-existent. No instructions on how to use the phone in the room (for us aliens) No instructions on how to use the tv - two remotes provided and after pressing every button I gave up as nothing came on.

Good hotel for the price, it was comfortable and had everything I required The room was warm with a good ensuite and powerful shower. I liked the location and the "not plastic" feel of the place. The lady at the desk was polite and helpful. I will stay again. If you are not fit you may have trouble with the stairs. I am reasonably fit and only had an overnight bag so didn't find it a problem.

Suited me fine in that it's cheap and cheerful, it does need to be up- dated but then the prices will have to go up. The old style shower-room, old style furniture and floor covering.

Exceeded my expectations. Yes the carpets are worn and the deco is tired and the furniture is not new, but staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, breakfast had a good selection (quality acceptable). So, all in all great value for money at a city centre location.

What can I say?!! !The rooms were quite large and very comfortable-it included a 32 inch tv and a hairdryer that actually reached the plug!the storage for clothing was also very good-lots of drawers and cloakroom space for coats, dresses or larger items-and still had room for the large suitcase we took! In the room was a kettle and tea, coffee and milk so it was a welcome additon to the room it also had a bay window which housed a table and two comfortable chairs to watch the world go by-just unfortunately the weather wasn't that good to see!!

Central location, nice staff Bit of a walk, steep hills, room was dirty, mis match furniture, holes in carpet, stains on walls, quite shabby, dirty shower, thin covers - not good as room was freezing had to sleep with clothes on, given the choice I wouldn't have paid what I did for the room, check out is at 10:30 which I thought was a bit early!, No fridge, or hairdryer as they stated would be in the room. Overall an ok hotel but wouldn't pay the money to stay again.

The location is great just off Sauciehall street close to all the shops and bars We stayed there last year and last week compared to last year it most defiantly needs a lick of paint and the bedding needs renewed but this was just in comparison to the previous year

Very reasonably priced and in good location in walking distance of centre of Glasgow. Comfortable beds, clean room with en-suite. Breakfast pretty good too. I was upgraded to a triple room with double bed/single for no extra cost - nice light room and bath as well as shower - excellent. Lots of stairs - but no lift. Everything else about it very good.
