I liked the location and the good service at the reception. Lovely diningroom and nice breakfast with a good assortment. The bed and number of stairs to top floor. |

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The private garden at the back was secluded and a lovely thing to have in the middle of the city. It was in need of some redecoration. Access from the street was not easy for an elderly person. |

Excellent breakfast with choice of Croissants, toast, fruit, fruit juice, cereal and full cooked breakfast (bacon, sausage, fried egg, scrambled egg, hash browns, potato scone, black pudding and beans). Something for everyone including tea or coffee. We were on the third floor and there was no lift and the stairs were exhausting, especially for my husband as he has a painful hip. I should have mentioned this but did not think to so this was no reflection on the hotel. Rather basic rooms but clean so did the job for one night. |

The room was quite. Breakfast was good. Sometimes, too bad smell coming from the toilet - very annoying. No internet in room. Only 5 channels in TV. Heaters are turned off at night. |

Comfortable and clean room, breakfast excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Did not enjoy the fact that we were next to the laundry room and the tumble dryer and washing machines started earlier. Also felt breakfast could have been served a bit later than 9.30 especially on a weekend. |

This was my second consecutive year to visit Glasgow and to stay at the Victorian House. I think it is a brilliant clean hotel extremely convenient to the shopping and entertainment locations in Glasgow. The buffet breakfast is out of this world - beautiful! Finally, I would like to sincerely thank the member of staff who helped me fix the handle on my suitcase by going away and getting a screwdriver on the morning of my departure. Top quality service like this is all too often rare. Hope to visit again. Highly recommended. Everything was good. |

Very well located. Staff were helpful when needed. Breakfast was good. Our room was surprisingly quiet in view of busy city centre location and number of people staying. Although the sheets, towels etc were perfectly clean the room and bathroom were scruffy in terms of decoration and felt grubby. The shower was completely inadequate. |

The Victorian House is quite easy to locate, as it is situated one street back from the main street of Glasgow. Therefore, it is also located close to restaurants and shopping outlets. On check-in the staff were friendly and efficient. The majority of the staff throughout our stay were couteous and helpful. Breakfast was included in our accommodation package. The choices and quality of the food was great, not only for adults but also the kids. Accommodation was a little run down, eg, wall paper starting to peel from the staiwell wall, mould in the bathroom and damaged tilel in the bathroom. Furniture in the accommodation was a little tired as well. It would have been nice to see some more of the staff members smile a little more. |

nothing in particular not made very welcome receptionist not interested in the guests she just asked for the money despite it was pouring with rain hardly any time given to get my payment from my bag she has no peoples skills or basic communication skills , not appropriate for the front desk poor role model the young indian girl and lad are more suited to the drsk they had good eye contact they were smiling and generally very nice . receptionist on the 1st november totally unprofessional for staff eating breakfast where guests sit especially after telling us and 4 other guests we were 5 minutes too late for breakfast. and they all sitting with breakfast it was the same receptionist that told us we were all too late it was showing authority and no flexibility she herself said your 5 minutes too late this is supposed to be a hotel. |

I really enjoyed Scottish breakfast, it was very quiet, a bird was singing early in the morning and the hotel was very close to the city center. |

I liked the location of the hotel. My room was on the first level and being a female on my own this suited me fine as I don't like negotiating stairs with heavy baggage. The breakfast was excellent and something to look forward to. The front steps would put me off. |

The breakfasts - enough to keep you going until the evening. The twenty six steps from street level to front door. |

It was clean and tidy but could do with sprucing the decor up. The outside does'nt look great but the rooms were clean and the bathroom was clean so thats all we needed for the two nights. The breakfast was very good. I did'nt loke the outside and first impressions are very important. |
