cleanliness, parking and working Wi Fi
Rooms smaller although booked for premium. No TV, No internal telephone, No restaurant, Bed linen - not sure all clean
bed was pretty good and big close to train station and bus
dirty cabin shower shower didn't work probably dirty carpet
The place the staff was friendly nice and quit and good value for money we stayed 1 day and we are so happy :)
Dont go in a weekend!! There is a Disco terrace 20m away of your window, so loud music until 4 am...Also the smoke alarm sounded twice during the sleeping time...Awful!
Lovely warm welcome. Wouldn't take any money until I had inspected the room and approved it.
staff was friendly
room was not of very good standard
Excellent location, just off Oxford Road. Ideal for Academy gigs or night life
Dirty, didn't look like it had been cleaned in a long time. Bed was broken. Blinds didn't shut all the way and no curtains. Breakfast consisted of manky fruit or white bread for toast. Expected more for the money!
It was really near to manchester academy where i had a concert
The area seems ghetto, after 1/2 am its really dangerous! My room stinked a bit of mold!
Bed bugs. Stained sheets with hairs. Had to get up and move rooms at 2 am because my friend and I had bed bugs crawling over us. No hot water in the showers. Rave going on directly next to the hotel til 530 am. That should definitely be specified on the website as it is very loud and kept us up all night.
staff was very nice internet in the room (only rooms in the basements, not the ones upstairs)
breakfast was poor I think they have bad bugs because I could not sleep all night as something was biting me during the sleep and I had bites on my body the day after.
Location, hygiene , staff
no tv in the room and no plastic cups in the bathroom for brushing your teeth
Comfortable lounge areas
the all night rave/party taking place in the derelict buildings at the back of the hotel. The "event" finished around 5.30 am.
there was no alcohol option
Dirty room in the celars with dirty bed cloths. Instant coffie+ white bread+butter makes morning even cooler. But the worst is that somebody visited my room while I was out! When I ask manager why? He said that it was cleaning service but he doeasnt say nothing when I ask why the room is still not cleaned... Be carefull!
the breakfast was nice
the room was too cold and smelled of cigarettes
Not a lot
Good transport links to the city centre
I had to clean up someone else's urine, the whole hotel smelt disgusting and the sheets hadn't been washed in God knows how long
We were going to a gig at the University/Academy and the hotel was 10 minutes walk away (just off Rusholmes curry mile so food is at your doorstep). The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing us our room before we paid, so we could decline if it wasn't up to standard. Room was large, very clean and tidy. The en-suit bathroom looked shiny and new - very nice. Beds were comfy. Hotel was full but very quiet. Breakfast (cereal, toast, juice, fruit and coffee) included. Wifi, tea/coffee in room, towels/linen supplied. 3 of us sharing, cost us £89 in total plus £3 for off road parking. Will definitely stay here for the next gig.
Can't think of any bad points.
charming, Liberty-style, set in an English garden
background noise of the disco in the night
The staff were warm andxwelcoming. There was a coal fire burning in the reception area. Car parking was free. It was a hundred metres to a road full of Indian and Middle Eastern restaurants and with frequent busses into the university area and the city centre. The bed was very comfortable and the whole building was really quiet. Breskfast was simple - help yourself to cereals and juice and make your own toast and tea from an urn. All easy and relaxed.
Within easy reach of Manchester city centre. 10 mins on the bus.
Bit intimidating on the main street nearby. Mainly Asian community and shops.
The place wasn't clean. No tv in bedrooms. Found hair in the beds. Just awful
Staff we're rude got the feeling they had never seen a gay couple before tried putting us in a room with a brick wall facing the window below ground level . Smelt funny and the breakfast basic white toast, apple, and a poached egg , cornflakes . Parking is an additional £3
Friendly staff interior warmth
Having to pay £3 per day to park on the hotel drive. Having a member of staff tell me this as I am parking, before I have even checked in. key card not showing room number The musty smell in my room that lingered. Unable to fill the kettle with water because of the shape of the sink. Only De Caffeinated Coffee supplied. Only Continental breakfast available
