On a residential street in Rusholme, the Victoria Park Hotel is a short walk from the Indian restaurants that line Wimslow Road. A 24-hour front desk is available and Fallowfield's pubs and bars are only 1-mile away. Old Trafford, Manchester United Football Club’s ground, is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The University of Manchester is less than a 15 minute walk away and central Manchester is just a 5-minute drive from Victoria Park. Tea and coffee facilities are included in each room. All rooms have a private bathroom, some outside of the room. Free Wi-Fi is also available in some rooms. A continental breakfast is served in the spacious dining room. Guests can relax in front of the TV in the guest lounge area. Hotel Rooms: 22 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 12:55 from United Kingdom.

That I could cancel my 4 nights booking after just one nights stay. Nice manager at arrival. Dirty, lousy breakfast, hard beds, hotel closed several hours for friday prayers, no atmosphere, no customers.

Quiet location, despite being within a few yards of Manchester's famous "curry mile"! And therefore equally handy to a frequent bus service to the city centre. Efficient room service and attentive staff - who gave the impression that they were really interested in guests' opinions. Clean and generally comfortable. The room furnishings were rather on the spartan side, although the bed was comfortable. Apparently due to the proprietors' strict interpretation of their Islamic faith, there are no TVs in rooms and I couldn't see one in use in the public lounge. Likewise they won't allow alcohol in the hotel - which doesn't worry me but might be an issue for other guests. And the breakfast, though a little bit more than "continental", did not of course include bacon or sausages. There were a few decor and maintenance issues - which is no more than you would expect in a 19th century building.

The Hotel was not up to standard, on the first night my window was broken and had quite a job to get my room changed. The noise from the Night Club adjacent kept us awake most the night, in fact it was that bad we booked into another Hotel for the third night. Will not be recommending or returning to this Hotel.

There is a 24 hour reception desk with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel was central and well located. Ample parking spaces (although at an extra charge). Guests should arrive with very low expectations. This is a very tired looking old hotel in very poor decorative order with peeling paint and ancient furniture, desperately in need of refurbishment. There is no lift in the hotel. No bar, no tv, no telephone or fridge in the room. The room was poorly lit, but might have been brighter if one of the lights in our room hadn't been out. The wardrobe was broken. The bed covers, curtains and furnishings were old and completely mismatched. The water stopped running in the shower at one point. No hand towel or bath mat provided. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The room was grubby. The outlook from the room was a scruffy, unkempt yard. Breakfast was a fried egg with 2 slices of white bread toast, cornflakes and an apple/banana and orange juice with tea or coffee. It should have been made clearer on the website that alcohol is not permitted in the hotel (so that we did not go to that hotel). There was a notice on the front door which stated "Out Going After 12'Clock Midnight is not allowed. Please pre-Arrange For Urgency with the Receptionist" (this is word for word what it said). When we checked with the Reception staff, we were told that the sign was 20 years old, no longer applies, but had simply not been taken down. I was completely at a loss as to what made the room we stayed in a "premier" room....I Dread to think what the "economy" rooms were like. Overall, a hilariously bad hotel with friendly staff.

It was handy both for the university campus where I was visiting my daughter and for the 'curry mile'. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious, with coffee and tea available. The breakfast was not very good. There was no choice. It was a greasy, overcooked fried egg with two bits of white bread toast. My room was also very noisy - there was a group of noisy drunks sitting outside the front of the hotel until 1.30am.

It has a good location near the resturant & close to city center The service is quite good . There are two issues that I dont like about this hotel : First, the service in breakfast there was only one waiter ... Second, the instinct in the room , may be because it is close to the trees.

There were separate beds for each of us in family room. The beds were comfortable with a very good bathroom layout which were functional and spacious. The shower was easy to use. The room was well heated and the breakfast was served early and is adequate for all of us. There were ample parking spaces. No alcohol was allowed in the premises. The hotel is very near several restaurant in the vicinity. Its about 500 meters from a Mosque There was no television available in the rooms. Its available in the main lobby sitting room only. A bit far from the city centre. Need the clerk at the lobby to open the door from remote

Basic but clean value for money To park in hotel car park got charged £3 even as Patron. Wasn't informed when booking in only in departure and when questioned was told it was on website. Think it is unreasonable to charge for parking when you are staying there , because of that I wouldn't go back there .

Location: nearby bus stop where a lot of busses leave to and arrive from the city centre, also at night. Staff was very friendly, hotel was pretty quiet. Food around the corner, mainly eastern fast food, but I found a good place to eat. Freshly baked egg on toast at breakfast was nice. The central heating turns on only once every two hours for 2 hours or so, so if you arrive just after a 'heating session', your room will be cold for like 3 hours. Breakfast was a little bit poor (fruit, cereal, milk, juice, tea, coffee, toast)

The hotel is in a really good location as we were up to visit the university, right in the heart of it all but tucked away. The price is just great and the room was large and airy. bathroom was a good size with a new shower area. The room has begun to be decorated and when complete is will look more modern. The breakfast was a surprise as it said continental and I expected a cold meal (for the price not much either) and we got an egg with toast! Couple of choices of cereal, tea, coffee and lovely fruit juice - just enough to get you up and out. The room had a strange smell in it I suspect somebody has smoked and they were trying to cover it up. The decoration was very poor in areas and needed some attention, but I think it was being done. Public areas were cold and no TV in the bedroom so if you wanted to watch you would have to get a little chilly! Bathroom was a little sparse and no shower stuff so take your own (but for the money what do you expect?) The room was a little grubby and the outlook from the room was a scruffy yard so we kept the blinds drawn. The beds were small and the duvet very small and thin, I like a little spare and some weight to my bedding. All in all for what we paid a little more cleaning and you can't complain about the rest!

very friendly - Even though I didnt realise it was non-alcohol or no TV in the rooms but for me that was a plus. It was very quiet and the staff all very nice - and in a quiet location just off the Curry Mile with loads of buses into manchester city centre, and quiet places to walk
