the breakfast was nice
the room was too cold and smelled of cigarettes
Not a lot
Good transport links to the city centre
I had to clean up someone else's urine, the whole hotel smelt disgusting and the sheets hadn't been washed in God knows how long
We were going to a gig at the University/Academy and the hotel was 10 minutes walk away (just off Rusholmes curry mile so food is at your doorstep). The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing us our room before we paid, so we could decline if it wasn't up to standard. Room was large, very clean and tidy. The en-suit bathroom looked shiny and new - very nice. Beds were comfy. Hotel was full but very quiet. Breakfast (cereal, toast, juice, fruit and coffee) included. Wifi, tea/coffee in room, towels/linen supplied. 3 of us sharing, cost us £89 in total plus £3 for off road parking. Will definitely stay here for the next gig.
Can't think of any bad points.
charming, Liberty-style, set in an English garden
background noise of the disco in the night
The staff were warm andxwelcoming. There was a coal fire burning in the reception area. Car parking was free. It was a hundred metres to a road full of Indian and Middle Eastern restaurants and with frequent busses into the university area and the city centre. The bed was very comfortable and the whole building was really quiet. Breskfast was simple - help yourself to cereals and juice and make your own toast and tea from an urn. All easy and relaxed.
Within easy reach of Manchester city centre. 10 mins on the bus.
Bit intimidating on the main street nearby. Mainly Asian community and shops.
The place wasn't clean. No tv in bedrooms. Found hair in the beds. Just awful
Staff we're rude got the feeling they had never seen a gay couple before tried putting us in a room with a brick wall facing the window below ground level . Smelt funny and the breakfast basic white toast, apple, and a poached egg , cornflakes . Parking is an additional £3
Friendly staff interior warmth
Having to pay £3 per day to park on the hotel drive. Having a member of staff tell me this as I am parking, before I have even checked in. key card not showing room number The musty smell in my room that lingered. Unable to fill the kettle with water because of the shape of the sink. Only De Caffeinated Coffee supplied. Only Continental breakfast available
Not a lot
Stained sheets bed bugs in beds would not recommend or stay again very scruffy dirty very poor facilities it needs a total revamp areal dump
No tv in room, dirty glases, wardrobe should be on otherside of room as toilet/shower light switch behind it. Doors banging as had to pull hard to shut them which was a nuisance if in the early hours or night.
Staff are good but did not say anything to the guests that ware fighting all night also it says breakfast included I was not toled of it being available I booked 2 night but had to leave the next morning although I paid for 2
Managment of guest was poor a couple ware fighting all night I could not sleep so I left the next morning although I paid for 2 really they should pay me back
Staff, room, bathroom and beds
Near main road where people are partying all night ( Saturday).
The 2 men at the desk were helpful with directions.
The rooms smelled, the view aboutside our window was like a garbage dump and the music from the neighborhood was too loud and kept us up half the night. Bathrooms were so small that they were uncomfortable and also they were not very clean.
Clean comfortable room, handy for the hospitals, friendly helpful staff, ideal for somewhere to sleep while you're in Manchester doing whatever. Basic maybe but more than adequate and superb value for money
This hotel is purely like a motel, a bad motel. Stains on bedsheets, hairs in toilet, very poor breakfast with only white bread and condensed juice, and only one egg per person! Room is tiny with no air conditioner but cannot open the window as very noisy outside from the pubs??. So almost no airflow at all in the room(cage)! People were yelling and singing nearly all nights. Couldn't sleep at all! It's a terrible place and you just feel the environment is not safe, especially for single female travellers! Will never ever go back to stay there!
room itself and ensuite clean. Reasonable basic facilities.
Very tatty. Unnecessary failings; shabby furnishings, stained doors, lopsided pictures. Poor quality bedding and smelly(dirty?) pillows.
convenient to the university single beds very comfy nice quite room staff were accommodating
a bit grubby round the edges, but you pay for what you get . Breakfast hours could of been a bit longer especially on a sunday morning , as we missed it !
The hotel was relatively clean and fit for purpose for one night. The fact there was a bath was good.
The bathroom window didn't close, the beds weren't comfy, the tea was horrible, the breakfast smelt rancid and so we didn't eat it.
Access to the Curry Mile, delicious meal
Hours of noise from nightclub behind!
I like the Location & bathroom
Decor is very outdated, and no TV. Poor quality not to be rated as 3 star.
I like the location.
same menu for breakfast everyday
Stained bedding. Dirty bathroom. Curtains did not close.
