We were very disappointed with the 2 rooms we used we had to be moved from the 1st room because the tv didn't work and the matresses were very uncomfortable and the second room had a terrible smell from the drains and the bathroom was that small you couldn't move so if we stay again we would want a far better bedroom .

The Vidella was located in a good area slightly north of the North Pier. They have a good sized bar and separate restaurant which are reasonably priced and staff were friendly and helpful. We were looking for a cheapish hotel which still had comfort and modern rooms. However the vidella was not what we expected. For £45, we were given a box room which only just fit a double bed and there was no room for two people to move around. In fact you could only get in bed from one side. The bathroom was just a shower and was dirty and very dated with mould growing on the shower curtain. So much so that my other half, who is definitely not a snob, refused to use the shower. The bathroom door would not fully open due to the size of the room and its furniture. The kettle filament was covered in mould and lime-scale which could be seen floating in the water when the kettle was filled and there was no filter. Would not use the hotel again.

Very creative and customer friendly place to stay and generally on the evenings when inbetween either going back out to eat or just chilling in the bar. Neil was the life and soul of the placve and to be fair, without him around it simply would not be a hotel of distinction. Rooms were cosy and have freeview tv which was brilliant for us as we have a 6yr old daughter and she never got bored when we were resting or showering etc. The resturant is by far the best i have ever experienced in Blackpool and i have been here over 50times in the last 25yrs. The chef must be recognised for this. I will go again but have to say on the last day we were there, we went for breakfast and went to sit on an empty table and was told by Greg " Oh you can't sit there " and was asked to share a table with other residents which did force us to wait for a table as we obviously were not comfortable with the idea. After a good 20mins wait and being a little put out by the wait despite the table still sitting empty, we decided to have breakfast elsewhere. Not to be put off by this as Greg had good intentions but could have at least explained to us to why the table lay empty throuout our wait. Other than that a highly recommended place to stay. As for the whole experience 8/10.

Every member of staff at the Vidella were welcoming, friendly and fun. We were treated like we were the only guesta there even though we weren'T. Nothing was to much trouble. It really made the holiday extra special. When we return to Blackpool this will be where I stay. I stayed with two friends and we all agreed that this hotel really made it for us. The breakfast was lovely in the morning and quick. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and the location is perfect as you see more of Blackpool and it is also close to the train station. It is a nice leisurely walk to the tower and the the beach is only yards away. I can't recommend the Vidella hotel highly enough. 10/ 10

We had a great stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. As it was the off season unfortunately the restaurant`was not open for evening meals during the week, however the breakfast they provided was fantastic and offered a good choice. There was a great selection of cocktails and drinks available in the bar area, as well as the hotel being located close to the town. We will definately be booking with them again.

Was happy with the location, I was dissapointed with the decor of the room, although clean there was damage to the main door to our room and also the wardrobe was broken , the entire room looked tired and in desperate need of work.

They welcome dogs at no extra charge. It was clean and the breakfast was lovely The room was very basic and small for 3 persons, the bathroom was beyond small? It was tiny, you could barely move in it. Rooms very much in need of modernisation, the pictures online are very deceiving! Ok if you are just passing through for one night I guess!! I have seen large hotels in the same price range with much bigger rooms/bathrooms.

we really enjoyed our stay at the vidella hotel. It is a very friendly and welcoming environment, the staff really do everything they can to make your stay great. When we arrived we where shown to our room which was on the 3rd floor ,with my wife being asthmatic she felt there were just too many stairs and we asked to be moved which was done without any hassle. Breakfast was great too - and i totally recommend the restaurant, we had a great meal :)

Leaving After waiting nearly four hours in our room, due to the rain outside, we found that the restaurant was not open, we were told because of the pride celebrations the previous day, its as though they just couldnt be bothered, my partner is 70, it was pouring with rain and we were advised to find a local restaurant, the walk took its toll on us, it was like Nelson by the seaside, no other alternative was offered.( There was a lot of mould in the shower area). I find it ironic that I conduct covert audits and mystery shops for a large Grassroots company, on this occasion, I wasnt working. The restaurant could of been their saving grace. The cocktail bar was depressing with no atmosphere, the woman serving was rather scruffy and not that welcoming, she asked if we wanted music on and we said yes, it was just ignored and the cocktail she served was warm. It was awful. We have been so upset, my partner has fallen out with me.(the daft bat, it wasnt my fault!)

The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was freezing cold and the heating wasnt put on. One guest asked for the heating to be put on as he had seals in his room!! The en suite if thats what you call it was tiny, the toilet seat was coming off and there were cracked dirty tiles in the shower. The cups in the room for tea making facilities were dirty and the view from the window was of a wall which had paint peeling off it.
