The location was good but the hotel was not clean, the staff were very unfriendly and the bar prices were high
The wall had floor tiles on it. There was a huge draft coming from the window. The walls were covered in mould. Unpleasant room.
Convenient location close to all amenities. Fine for a few nights stay. Very comfortable bed with clean bedding. Not 5 star but you're not paying 5 star price. Does what it says on the tin!
The tv was inches thick in dust. The rest of the room was averagely clean but such thick dust gave the impression of low standards in cleaning.
location and breakfast
The pleasant staff. Food was freshly cooked and out of this world
Light from outside lighting up room all night
Hotel was in a good place would come again
great location 5 minutes from train station
hotel could do with a make over
Location was good few minutes walk and your right in the centre, reasonably quiet considering the location hardly heard a thing at night, hotel was quiet aswell.
The decor could do with fresfening up thats the only fault I found in our room otherwise I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.
No at lot.
The only good thing about this place was the pleasant gentleman who served us at breakfast. The breakfast itself was poor, the toast they brought us was mouldy and the quality and range of the continental was limited. As for the room, where do I start. The best thing about it was the comfy bed. Other than that, bog standard sheets, towels were stained, floor was unclean, shower door was falling off, inside the draws were sticky and mouldy and I came to my newly 'cleaned' room to be greeted by other guests' mess on the floor e.g hairbrushes and toothpaste. The place would not have been so bad if the staff were friendly but unfortunately, they were unpleasant and made us feel like we were always being watched and uncomfortable.
It was quiet....peaceful
Room was small . Wardrobe wobbly.oilcloth in shower needed renewing room needed a lick of paint
Staff very helpful...I would stay again
close to beach close to centre friendly hotel no noise
wifi was fair shower did not work
Friendly staff, good breakfast, within walking distance to the beach, comfy bed.
Had trouble connecting to the Wifi.
Very friendly staff and helpful
Loud guest but get that every where
The staff were really friendly made you feel you were at home
Needs a bit of work on facilities, didn't look like the floor had been vacuumed.
It was to dirty to stay at this hotel!!!
The full hotel it was very dirty, the room needed to be cleaned don't think it had seen a hoover, or a cloth in the bathroom as there was hair around and in the shower cubicle, a curtain rail was up but no curtains. I most certainly will not be advising anyone to go to this hotel....
The staff seem helpful and the hotel is in a good location, also the price is good.
The room was very unclean and kept my flipflops on at all times because the carpet was dirty, the breakfast was Eatable, the wife just had toast no brown bread, just white bread only, the hotel was more like a hostel, would not go back again, especially the wife.
value and location
the bed was so comfortable the staff were helpful and friendly the location was excellent the breakfast was good
Good location, friendly and helpful staff
Cleanlyness cold shower sqeeky floor constant drip from broken gutter.
When I arrived was met by a lovely man who showed me to my room he even carried my case up for me. Breakfast was also very lovely x
We had a great stay again Richard as i said last time is out on his own couldent do enough for us. It was so safe for kids close to everything we will be going back again xx
it was close to a lovely pub called The Duke of York.
Spoke with the manager twice before booking.... Nice guy but failed to mention there would be no breakfast as kitchen been refurbished, only told us on arrival. Very annoyed as we booked and paid for bed and breakfast. Room was very small, double bed pushed up against wall so difficult for my partner to get in and out of bed. Blinds in room did not close properly, the shower was dirty with the last guests soap still in bottom of shower. The ceiling tiles in room and shower were disgusting. Wasn't really made to feel very welcome, on the Sunday evening of our stay walked in the bar to find other guests and the manager Sat down eating a home cooked meal.... I would never stay there again .
