Good budget hotel for London and free car parking Maintenance of rooms could improve. For example, our side table was broken/ cigarette ends left on window ledge. Shower basin filled up when water running

Rooms are airy and comfortable, breakfast simple but good, Only one small complaint, no bath mat and the floor is slippery, could be an accident. As above. I always enjoy staying here, in fact it is my first choice London hotel and I sleep very well there.

Not far from a bus route to the Excel exhibition centre that I was visiting. My front room was noisy from the road and needed redecorating. A lot of energy was wasted by leaving the heating on at full - use thermostatic radiator valves

Good location for closeness to east London, good for smokers due to "bungalow" style. Simple but clean. Enough space. Agreements made with the night staff were not accepted by daytime receptionist. I have never stayed in a hotel before where I was called exactly at check-out time (after agreeing with the night staff that staying longer was no problem) and threatened that an additional night would be charged if we did not check out in 10 minutes. Payment was taken without authorisation, after their card reader did not work the evening before and we agreed to go and withdraw cash in the morning. Unpleasant end to a weekend trip.

Nice large and clean rooms. Nice helpful stuff.Good location near the new Westfield Shopping centre, bus stop next to hotel, tube station approx 12 min. If yoy like good food, there are good Turkish fast foods at Forest gate - my favourite Everest or Nando's with perfect chicken specials in opposite direction on Romford Road. I used to live in this area 6 years ago and it has changed a lot.Due to the Olympics the Mayor is focused on this area and there is a big decrease criminality so you don't need to worry. No remote control for TV, no fridge. Breakfast was very poor - not bad food, but only corn flakes, cheap cheese and ham, jam and only the white toasts, tea , cofee. We were also missing any extra servicess and WIFI. There is only reception in the hotel , one computer with printing machine(1 pound 6 min. and 30 p one page print). But in overal we were satisfied with the hotel and would recommend.

Rooms were clean and tidy as well as spacious. Good car parking facilities as well. Receptionist was quite abrupt, a more cheerful manner would have been appreciated.

The location was perfect. Parking was free, and there was plenty of spaces, also it was secure. It was supposed to be 24 hour reception, but when arriving back (as they keep the room key when you go out) at 3am, there was no one there, and I spent thirty five minutes waiting. In the end my partner found a fire exit door which set an alarm off. They soon rushed out to reception and allowed me into my room. Our room was on the first floor. When someone went to the toilet, or had a shower, it woke us up.

The hotel was very clean with a nice decor, parking was free and breakfast included in the price. The location was perfect to our triop to the Excel centre and staff were helpful. The room was very hot when we arrived but cooled down later when we turned heating off, it was a bit noisy during the several hours night from other residents but otherwise all was fine.

Relatively clean and cheap. Travelling with a young child in cold November we were placed in a room outside the main hotel with no central heating or hot water. I was told that I should be grateful I had a room at all as I had received a special cheap rate. No one was willing to deal with complaints as they all claimed someone else was the manager. We had to surrender the key when we went out but then returned early evening to find the place locked up with no one around - eventually let in by a workman. If you literally just want somewhere to sleep for a few hours and you have plenty of jumpers with you then you may want to consider this place - otherwise avoid at all costs.

They need to have much more welcoming staffs,a change of braekfast menu its been tasteless for the pass three years when last I fisrt visited it, The rooms needed to smell more refreshing and during the breakfast time staff must learn to give the guest more time to finish rather than disturbing them. Eg by asking have they done? As a hotel who care for guest, the staffs donot wear any gloves, nore aprone when handleing the food or making up the rooms what of the saftey of the guest and the staffs, some of the cleaners donot knocked before they open the doors. When living words like how did you enjoy your stay or thanks for staying here, guest do appreciate this words.

It was well worth the money and the atmosphere was very friendly. It is not badly located and Stratford Station is only 15 minutes and gives easy access to everywhere. The hotel is also situated on two main bus routes. Even though it's near a main road our stay was very quiet. There are several shops around to buy food from and the breakfast which was included was sufficient. Overall experience was a 4.5/5.

Our stay at the viking hotel was very pleasant, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's location was good too, as it had just a 10 minute walk away the biggest shopping center in Europe, which is definitely a go see! The breakfast - it was basically made of toast, ham and cheese. There wasn't much variety for a buffet!

“The location is great, a short walk to the Underground to connect to all of London. It has good sized, clean, unbelievably quiet comfy rooms with good showers. Chuck in ample parking too, if not using public transport and good value for money and you have a gem. I always stay here if I can.” Mike, Seaford |
