Location and friendly staff

The hotel was in a good location for us just outside of docklands with good local pubs and restaurants (which are few and expensive in docklands). The main factor for me was secure parking which in a locked up carpark round the back. Room decor was basically good and looked to have fairly recently refurbished and the shower was excellent.. Also we were in the anex part which was off the main road and quiet.

Slightly surley not very friendly reception. The tea/coffe facilities were a bit mean without enough milk,sugar or tea for 2 people, and no biscuits! These are things which cost very little and make the mood of the guest so much better. The TV controls seamed to be missing too, not a big deal but slightly annoying. Also we made the mistake of buying some sweet cakes (in a packet) which when we turned round were being attacked by a gang of ants. Dont get me wrong I love ants, they have a right to live on this planet, but I would prefere them to live in their own environment and not in mine! I did report the ants for attemted theft of the cake but nothing was done, I think the guy thought I was joking!Breakfast was quite poor even for "continental" with a massive choice of cornflakes or ricecrispies,yogurt, orange juice and white bread/toast and cheese and some sort of chicken role! Still cant complain, at just £130 for 2 nights for a twin room in London.

Conveinient location, secure off road parking offered potentially good value for money

Breakfast although adequate lacked a little in imagination - white bread only, not much choice of ceral or jams but OK for price. Could be fairly noisey due to lots of younger children with the other guests but not too bad

Straightforward value for money. First-class comfort at a bargain price. No unnecessary frills.

Reception, helpful staff

Same menu as I had almost an year ago. There should have been an improvement.

Close to the Olympic facilities. Overnight secure parking. Good value.

Nothing to dislike - it was a good economy hotel.

Location and room choice

There was no fuss.We checked in and out without a problem.Many thanks.

Rooms were clean and tidy as well as spacious. Good car parking facilities as well.

Receptionist was quite abrupt, a more cheerful manner would have been appreciated.

The location was perfect. Parking was free, and there was plenty of spaces, also it was secure.

It was supposed to be 24 hour reception, but when arriving back (as they keep the room key when you go out) at 3am, there was no one there, and I spent thirty five minutes waiting. In the end my partner found a fire exit door which set an alarm off. They soon rushed out to reception and allowed me into my room. Our room was on the first floor. When someone went to the toilet, or had a shower, it woke us up.

The hotel was very clean with a nice decor, parking was free and breakfast included in the price. The location was perfect to our triop to the Excel centre and staff were helpful.

The room was very hot when we arrived but cooled down later when we turned heating off, it was a bit noisy during the several hours night from other residents but otherwise all was fine.

Relatively clean and cheap.

Travelling with a young child in cold November we were placed in a room outside the main hotel with no central heating or hot water. I was told that I should be grateful I had a room at all as I had received a special cheap rate. No one was willing to deal with complaints as they all claimed someone else was the manager. We had to surrender the key when we went out but then returned early evening to find the place locked up with no one around - eventually let in by a workman. If you literally just want somewhere to sleep for a few hours and you have plenty of jumpers with you then you may want to consider this place - otherwise avoid at all costs.

The beds were very comfortable, room was pretty spacious and the staff were overall, very helpful. Free parking is a definite plus
