Both the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful
Room was cold on entry as radiator was turned right down. I was able to sort this myslef so not a major issue.
The Villa Hotel is one of those brilliant little places that just does everything you need for an overnight stay. The staff are always super-helpful; the en-suite single room I use is functional, clean and tidy; and the cooked breakfast is brill. It's also super value for money, and an ideal consideration for anyone who has meetings the next day in Glasgow: you'll be in the city centre in 20 mins!
Nothing really: well, perhaps the wifi signal could be stronger in the bedrooms upstairs, but that's being picky.
Really Old fashioned seriously needs an upgrade lol not worth the price atall, passed on the breakfast wasn't a nice stay ,I would say don't go ahead with it cause they don't make it clear that you need to be in for 12 until after you have paid for it ,then you can't get you're money back because there is no refund once you have paid !! 0/10 for me
The staff is very professional and friendly. I definitely felt welcome. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. And the food- delicious!!!! Had a room facing the front of the hotel. Couldn't hear any noise from the street.
Not a single thing.
Bar, Food, Staff.
Locked in at Midnight.
Friendly, cheery, very helpful staff and owners of the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable, the food was great too! Ideal location for the train into Glasgow, what more could you ask.
I had travelled to Hamilton with a friend in order to attend a funeral locally. I found the Hotel on the Internet, it was conveniently situated and easy to find. It was reasonably priced, food was excellent and the owners and staff were really very nice.
Close to Hamilton West Railway Station and in walking distance of the racecourse. Food good
Single room on the small side
Easy access of M74 before entering Glasgow. Very helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. The biggest choice of whisky ever seen! Rooms adequate and clean.
All staff friendly. Good wifi connection. Comfortable bed. Indian tapas good.
£2.50 for a small bowl of steamed rice. Breakfast disappointing - poor quality bacon. Dreadful quality of sausage. Tiny piece of black pudding. Toast seemed to be made from poorest quality supermarket bread.
In spite of very late arrival, the welcoming was remarquable and all the stay was perfect: many advices were given on the surroundings and, once again, the service and kindness extraordinary. Coming from France, it was really the best choice for me to stay in Hamilton.
This hotel is close to the University of the West of Scotland. The welcoming is particularly warm and you feel immediately well. All facilities are of good quality, except WoiFi, not accessible everywhere in the hotel. I warmly recommend this hotel!
Warm welcome. Easy to find and near supermarket. Ability to park.
Hotel locked at 12 without ability to give guest a key for later entry. Would not have wanted to come in later but put pressure on getting back beforehand
The staff was the only good thing
This is classed a four star hotel well not so the bedroom very small the bathroom you could not swing a cat in the pillowed were hard. I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the passed seven weeks and this would be the worst and the most expensive. FEEL VERY RIPPED OFF
The friendliest staff I've ever encountered in a hotel :)
Ordering breakfast on check in. Not a great problem, just a bit weird.
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay
Unable to provide breakfast before 8am at the weekend even with prior notice, also no night porter and when I initially requested to leave the hotel @ 6.30am on Sunday morning I was informed that I could not leave until 7.30am as the hotel was completely locked up until that time, it was only when I pressurised the hotel management to let us out at the requested time that they arranged for a member of staff to come in. As there was no night porter on duty I asked what was the situation in the event of fire during the night and I was told that the owner slept on site and that he would let us know if there was a problem. I do not believe that this establishment should be classified as a 4 star hotel.
Staff was very friendly and caring. They even wanted to know my name so they could remember it.
Extortionate rate.noisy,uncomfortable room.wifi didn't work.stale pastries for breakfast
Room extremely small No air con etc Room incredibly hot - too much to sleep
friendly atmosphere, discussions about world cup, whisky and wine, good food
Excellent room (room 7)- furnishings and space. Very friendly staff. Took time to chat to us and wished us well on our journey. Lovely food, the Indian food is outstanding. Clean and tidy in all areas. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Would recommend and will visit again.
A bit close to main road and single glazed window made it a bit noisy in the morning. Had to have window open too as it was very warm. Could do with a fan of some description. WiFi was a bit hit and miss, especially in our room. Other than that, nothing to really complain about.
Close to Where i was working
Room very small for price paid
The service when I arrived
The single room could have been bigger
Staff and food
