Stunning outlook/ location. Front area a great place to sit in the morning/ evening sun. Interior really period with an emphasis on friendliness and welcoming cosy open fires - well kept at all times. Disturbing noise first night - complained but nothing done until next day (downstairs room bathroom fan left on!). No real apology, although sorted. Wrong main course dish first night for one, long wait for 'nibbles' both evenings.

Position beside the Loch and the open log fire in the lounge/bar area. Our bedroom - it was in a separate cottage at the back of the inn and apart from having no view apart from a close up view of a wall and the oil tanks and being adapted for the disabled, it was cold, damp, dark. The mattress on the bed and the pillows were thin and uncomfortable and had no protectors. Not nice! Dinner and breakfast was as ordinary as ordinary can get. In fact, my evening meal, which was salmon, was pretty horrible.

Great value for money (I was staying one night en route to Scotland and I've paid more in that area for very average places - this was way better than average). It was a great location, friendly, good breakfast and helpful staff. I also had a view of the loch. Nice to have wifi in the rooms, not just public areas. Quiet and comfortable. Can't think of anything - I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

good lcoation, nice bar and log fires Room - there was a problem with the extractor fan, makinga loud wining like a kettle boiling for most of the night. Raised the issue in the morning and the maintenance guy expalined the problem. This made it worse, as they knew about it yet still put us in that room!!! Also hotel seems to be a builders B&B at the moment.

Staff were welcoming upon arrival. The location was perfect for a mid-journey trip to the north of the Isle of Skye and we have previously been impressed when staying at The Village Inn. The room was very basic for the price. Breakfast was disappointing compared with when we have previously stayed at The Village Inn. The main course, which we had both enjoy the previous evening, was reduced by £2 (x2) on the specials board whilst we were still eating breakfast and a request for a refund was dismissed! Needless to say, we cancelled our booking for the return journey and found far better value at a B&B in Callander.

The hotel had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and the standard of service was excellent. Food was delicious. It was a bit noisy in our room as we were above the kitchen area and the fans were gojng til quite late at night.

Absolutely everything. Exceptional staff with excellent senses of humour made our stay delightful. Staff changed our room for the second night because of the problem stated. Five stars for this thoughtful resolution !!!!!!!! Room window on level with car park outside so it was not possible to open the window curtains while in the room. However staff changed the room for the second night!
