This wee inn keeps getting better and better with every annual stay. The pub stocks great local craft beers, the decor is traditional and authentic, the views stunning, and the staff warm and friendly. Highly recommended as a first or last stop in any trip to Scotland.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Food lovely .
food... caring staff... festive decoration... log fires... onsite parking... view off loch... wifi connection... cleanliness
slight discomfort off bed mattress...
Loved this B&B right on the shores of Loch Long (not really a loch but part of the estuary) in the heart of the Loch Lomond national park and close to Argyll Forest. With lots of character and stunning views and friendly staff.
Despite the great views, our room was in the lower ground floor with no view or character. But then we did book at the last minute! Wi-fi was patchy in our room. Next time I would book ahead and request a room at the top.
The ambiance, bedroom, excellent food, very friendly staff, log fires and cozy bar.
The cold tap!
Staff were lovely we were well looked after!! We will definitely be back.
Location excellent. Lovely room with loch view.
They needed a room downstairs with comfortable chairs, a lounge. Could have done with less tables to eat at.
Food came out very quick which is not really a gripe but you just know it wasn't cooked fresh to order.
Location and the friendly staff But I had a sick bug on the way to hotel never walked my mountain went home without staying over
Nothing hotel was fine Being ill put the dampers on our 2days the moumountains
The bar and restaurant were lovely. The beer was great. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were very helpful.
Only down side was the breafast- no fresh fruit or yoghurt, and the pancakes were a bit rubbery.
Setting and friendliness of staff
Food was unexceptional
Whole team genuinely devoted to making their guests comfortable and welcome. Excelled all expectations. Rooms spotless and comfortable and food delicious and very good value We will definately return and have sung their praises all week since returning to Cumbria. These people truly understand hospitality!
Not a thing comes to mind!
Everything from arrival to departure was great
Excellent accommodation, stayed here a few times and never disappointed. Had an excellent room with large window to the front, worth paying a bit extra for. Menu changed a bit from last visit but still excellent and value for money. Excellent breakfast and no rush to check out. Cheers.
TV didn't work but was sorted within an hour.
Good food ! Real fire ! Comfortable and friendly !
Walking to room in annexe in the pouring rain !
The people, the location and the homeliness
My mattress was uncomfortable
Real ales, decco, open fires, everything
Nothing to dislike
on arrival reception staff were very helpful. offered to take luggage to our room.asked if we wanted a table for a meal at night and at what time.
we did not like the television losing it,s signal every 5 minutes
Location stunning, food delicious. Room cosy and warm. Staff very friendly even though it was very busy when we arrived. Have booked a return visit.
Friendly, cheerful & very helpful. In the restaurant, I was offered a cushion for my leg (which is in a cast), & my husband wash given a taster of each of the real ales, so that he could decide which to have. Excellent choice of food on the menu, tasty food & brilliant buckets of chips. Lovely views of the loch. Very comfortable bed Tunnocks bars with the tea & coffee . . .
Taste of bacon. Horrible! Had fishy smell and taste. Think the pigs had fish meal feed. Left it. Dark haired thin waitress at breakfast unfriendly. Was it because we were English? Hopefully not.
A friendly, warm pub with great views, tasty food, and very good accommodation. We had a lovely view from our bedroom, the bathroom was spotless and I was happy the whole time I was there!!
We liked the position of the hotel ,overlooking lock long we enjoyed the breakfast it's very good for the price ,the bed was comfortable the room was clean ,the staff were very a very happy team and very friendly ,.nice area down stairs for dining
The room was cramped no bedside table not enough power points the windows in our room were part frosted so no veiw the bathroom had a large curtain at the side of the toilet to cover the window ,not very hygienic ,.and not very private needed a blind ,. Also the food in the resteraunt in the evening can be expensive and tastes very bland , another thing the hot water needs regulating its burning temp ,.
