Location was good & reception staff friendly

Room could have been a bit cleaner, coffee stains up the walls and worn old brochures let the room down. Very dissappointed with breakfast, had a sign near entrance to wait to be seated after about 5 minutes of waiting, & no staff in sight, went in and sat down. Asked a staff member for a coffee, which was obviously a great inconvenience to her - so decided to leave and didnt eat breakfast or go there again (pity as we didnt eat dinner in the Verve either because of the breakfast experience) Would not recommend.

A lovely atmosphere and the club is there if time to use it.

Excellent gym with a very good range of equipment. The room's are a good size with really comfy beds.

The service in the restaurant needs a little work. I had to go and find a waitress to place my food order and remind them about drinks ordered. Also, at breakfast the restaurant is not kept as tidy as it should with tables left with dirty plates. It also appears that little effort is made to keep the buffet area tidy after things are spilt etc.

The reasturant service was very poor . The staff took ages to take our order and the evening meal was dissapointing - my wife's burger patty was undercooked which left the bread roll bloody and put my wife off her meal completely. Breakfast was bland and tasted as if it had all be steamed. The tables that we sat at looked well used and could do with replacing. I would advise against using the reastaurant as it really lets down this great hotel.

We've stayed here many times over the last 3 years and are happy to keep coming back. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are very well equipped and large enough for my daughter to sleep comfortably on the spare bed. Breakfast is great, but most Importantly our dog is made very welcome.

Our only negative comment is that the food served in the bar was dire and I really wouldn't eat there again.

Awful awful comfort of mattress in room 423.

Large, well designed bedroom.

Undermanned reception counter. We had to wait in queue to check in and then when I needed more milk cartons, I waited so long to be served that I returned to my room and went down again later. There was only one receptionist on duty the whole time. What is the point of providing a bath and then locating the soap dispenser so that it can only be used by those standing up and using the shower? A bar of soap would be useful or a soap dispenser located so that you can lie in the bath and use it!
